I really wanted the 24mm to go with my A7C. I am a frequent traveler and travel mostly on my motorcycle. So space is a big issue for me. But unfortunately the price of these lenses is way too much for me. The Tamron 20mm 2.8 on the other hand is ⅓ the cost. I realise that these lenses are on another level, but for me it's way too expensive. Had these been like $300-$400, I'd have grabbed one immediately. PS: as Tax is very high in India, here it costs about $900.
Can you do a budget third party prime lens comparison series? I’m thinking Like the Viltrox 85 vs the Sony, the Samyang 35mm 1.8 vs Sony, etc. All seem to provide good value, are decently sharp and are fast lenses, but I always have concerns over auto focus and reliability.
I'm going to assume you didn't actually throw the lenses at the camera for that sick thumbnail. Did you use a variation of the floating lens trick you did a while back or did you do something else. If so would love to see a tutorial.
I considered it with a pad underneath, would have taken hundreds of takes. In the end I settled for the traditional fishing line to hand then, edit it out in post trick.
I am so curious the difference between zeiss 55.8 and 50mm g lens! I bought 55.8 one after watch your video! But g lens seems very tiny and light which is good to use on a7c
Planning to go for 50mm f2.5 for my a7iii (already own tamron 2875) or jump to Fujifilm x100v straight so that it's more convenient to bring out. Could you advise?
These lenses just sacrifice too much to be small. The size of 1.8mm lenses (like the sony 35, 55 and 85) are the perfect compromise of size, weight, fast aperture and price imo
@@chrisbrockhurst I believe you! But does one REALLY need their lenses to be that tiny? I mean, to each its own... But to me, 1.8 lenses are small enough
Did you grab any of these lenses, if so, which and why?

Congrats on 50k!
thankyou 🎉
Prime Rib is my prime.
Fillet Mignon is more my jam.
Raving out sold me on the 24
Damn that is a sick thumbnail!
anddddddd Matt makes my day. spent more time on that than the video.
What's the studio mic you're using for the main segments of this video?
Audio Technica AT2020

The 55 is WAY sharper and has a nicer look
@@chrisbrockhurst So nice to hear that! Thanks Chris!

These are perfect with the a7iii for out and about. A great small combo, I’d Personally go for the 40 over 50
I liked the 40mm
Same, my choice of the 3
How is the distortion on the 24mm 2.8?
It’s not horrible
I hope someone will try/review the 24mm G for astrophotography. Great stuff man!
actually a pretty solid option for astro tbh
This is a very good ad
An ad for what??

These are soooo tiny. You kind of have to see them to appreciate how small they really are

I just want the 55mm 1.8 quality and size for all lenses.
