I didn't understand the meaning of huge chunk of metal until the last, then finally realized its magic! Weight and conduit at same time! Brilliant, truely. Plus, intentional 'rough' finish looks great.

@Chimpin Out for balance. the lamp is mounted on the side only
By making one end of the lamp super massive and the the rest basically only styrofoam and plastering, the pivot point shifted heavily to one side - at the second screw more or less. Combined with the thin cables and the concrete finish it makes a great illusion.
