Moon Table
In this video I build a cantilever table out of concrete and steel.
The biggest challenge was to construct a concrete slab that not only supports itself but also withstands a lot of extra weight on the unsupported end.
The table weighs 270 kg

Dankeschööööön
I'm really impressed you've identified that an open cross-section is far more susceptible to torsion than a closed cross-section. That's really clever design and shows that you put a lot of thought in your projects.
Pp s
Will you break this down for a beginning builder enthusiast, please?
@@Irishriden2005 What do you mean exactly?
A closed cross-section (like a pipe pipe) has a higher resustance against torsion than other open cross sections (I beam, C beam, ...). Hope this helps.
@@geancarlo1987 okMi lo?.
If you're not a carpenter, this guy is very skilled in:
*Woodworking
*sealant work
*welding
*concrete work
*video editing
Which are all individual high paying jobs on their own at this level.
This man has real talent and is also a hard worker and for that, I salute him
(sorry for bad english)
You just blew my mind with that simple corner sanding trick for removing tape at 1:04.
Love the inclusion of the wobble fault and the fix for it. Too often construction videos will only show us a "perfect" build.
The demonstration on how to get masking tape right up to the board edge was worth the price of admission by itself. Awesome table and video.
Haha I took note of that too!
Haha I took note of that too!
You have got an incredible range of skills and an eye for design. “Thank you for watching”……. It was an absolute pleasure!
I would not have anticipated the twisting problem, either. However, the gussets and boxing-in of the I-Beam were something I thought about too. It's not every day I get to see someone make such an interesting piece from structural steel and concrete. This is exceptionally creative. Well done.
Not only a Builder, a Model as well! Great Job!
Awesome work brother, a pleasure to watch you put this together.
thanks bro for watching🙏
Great video! Nice craftsmanship but structurally speaking you could have made your life way easier with minimal compromise on the design. Still great though, it's definitely a work of art.
I liked seeing the wiggling problem and the prescribed fix and how you addressed the bubbles on the top. Overall you created a one of a kind piece that you can well be proud of, and you made a wonderful video, too. Bravo!
That proud yet modest (care-free) expression when jumped on to that cantilever edge of the table said everything... Absolutely Robust
The "balcony-table"👋. Congratulation, unique piece, perfection as always.
Очень круто получилось. И за работой смотреть приятно. Сразу видно, работает настоящий мастер!
The work and video-cutting went from "pure aesthetic and harmony" to "listen you little shit" at 12:37 :D
Stunning as always!!!!
A BIG Thanks 🙏mate
Love it! Minimalist and strong and it's very important that the coffee mug does not shake around!
Beautiful and extraordinary, wish to see more of your projects!
many thanks for sharing with us your art
Watching you do this wonderful design, make it, and fix the problem is quite fun and I've been very immersed in it. Thank you.
That grinding of those bevel edges was masterfully done!
I so enjoy watching and LEARNING from your videos. You inspire me, entertain and most importantly, you teach. Great videos.....please do more!!!
Der Tisch ist fantastisch! Sehr gute Arbeit und ein sehr gutes Video!
One more time, your creation is amazing. Thank
Thank you very much!
Like everything you share, its beautiful and creative! Keep up the amazing work! I Love the fact that you don't share something so often, but when you do it has been worth the wait! Always manage to inspire me to head down to my shop!
Extra as usual, yes with the gussets all along the IPN you remove the stress at the torsion, very nice realization, very design 👌👌
No matter the job or materials used, skill and knowledge level is always a 10 out of 10. He never ceases to amaze me.
A BIG Thanks 🙏mate
watching it for the second time and i can"t stop watching, it is amazing... Super job...you are the great master, working with concrete is especially difficult...
Magnificent. And educational as always. Thank you.
Precise, Elegant and Extreme
min 14:48 totally identified with the problem, every time you design something, something has to be fixed... very good
Your videos are never a disappointment! I always anticipate the next video!!! Happy New Year!!! 😁
the time and effort that was put in making of this table is outstanding . Nice Job
🔥🔥
News technics, news materials .... but still impressive !!
Great job, congrats 👍
One of the most expensive and over engineered concrete diving boards I've ever seen, very nice!
Wow amazing work and engineering great job
Just wow! Another masterpiece of construction and design. Those lucky customers.
This build is so captivate, so much great ideas again, wish you the bests projects for new year et merci pour les vidéos surtout !
Bro, that's a ton and a million of money! This can be solved easily! But if money doesn't matter...A lot of work, congratulations on the implementation!
What you do is really amazing and inspiring, can't wait to have 5% of your skill
That is a gorgeous table! Must weigh a little bit? Hahaha! Excellent welding, construction, and reinforcement of the I-beam.
Amazing job !!!
This is probably the most 'concrete' table build I have ever seen ;))
Beautiful!
Beautiful. Pleasure to watch over and over. Absolute top stuff
Respect Respect Respect... Marvelous work. Keep up going.
As always. Awesome video. I was beginning to worry about ya. Hadn't seen anything new for awhile. Glad to see you are still Create - ing. 😎
Great Piece👏👏👏
Absolutely loved this!
How much reinforcement in the concrete?
Yes.
Gorgeous

Amazing work. Congrts!
Famous ! Great work thank you shearing experience 😉
Inside support to eliminate the vibrations. Pretty smart!
A true work of art.
Very clean and straitforward job
Great work.
Everything you Build is amazing. You are such an inspiration, please keep it up! 🤘
Thanks Bro🙏
Remarkable!
Je suis sans voix. C'est magnifique et très ingénieux.
Bravo!
Simply amazing
I also design and build little things with concrete. I really understand how much work you put into this it’s really really really beautiful! Goood job !
thanks for the work)))
Wow.. I really loved Ur work. Thanks
Great job
Good save!
Probably the heaviest table on the planet; but it looks awesome!
*Amazing!*
Simply Fantastic
Wow wow wow! UA-cam was created so you can share you work!
Thanks f 4 that!
New to your channel. I really admire you and your work kind sir .
The Seico's hardwax oil, very good choice
Awesome work congratulations
Beautiful~
Was ein geiler Tisch! Großartiges Video dazu! 👍🏻👏🏻
Superb craftsmanship, shows skill and dexterity.Very good job. Some of the steps could be done have been done easier. But improvement usually comes after the first one. Use BRC mesh 3" x 3" 5g with fibre reinforced concrete. Will save a lot of welding for the reinforcement.
excellent vidéo, excellent création, excellent réalisation .... oups 3 times excellent ! Best rate possible ! Happy 2023 !
Una autentica maravilla de mesa, excelente trabajo.
Geil! Beton und Epoxidharz combo sieht super aus! Wieder ein tolles Video,André!👍
Magnificent !
Beautiful craftsmanship….
I'm impressed..very nice.
Was the plan to have voids in the top surface for the black epoxy or was it a happy accident? If so how did you guarantee the voids?
Are you serious? All that's required to guarantee voids is not want them. 😀
Dude it's been so long!! I got so excited when I got the notification that you posted!! Awesome video my friend, as always!! I love your work, it's incredible!! Hopefully you will post more in the future!! My favorite channel to watch!!
A BIG Thanks 🙏mate
wow that's awesome!
Concept is nice.
simply piece of art
Super cool!
Absolutely incredible. 👏
A BIG Thanks 🙏
Nice job man! Looks a little bit like a diving board. 👍🏻 😎
Your metal precision chopping skills are incredible!!! Hahaha!
Superb. This is a unique masterpiece.
Awesome!!!!
you are great my master, thank you for your effort, it was super
A BIG Thanks 🙏mate
To avoid the little holes in the concrete top, you could spray on a thin layer of ultra-fine concrete onto the bottom and sides of the form. Then put in the rebar, followed by the regular concrete. Also to make the concrete stronger, you can add fibers. This would remove the need for so much rebar reinforcement. Check out Modustrial Maker's videos. He's a master of concrete slabs and furniture. And he sprays on the outer layer of concrete, for the ultra smooth surface effect with no air bubbles. If you don't want to purchase the concrete sprayer, then you can just manually pack it in tightly by hand, onto the bottom and sides of the form.
I think he wanted this effect, because he vibrated it on the underside, if he wanted to have an icy effect he just had to vibrate it with a vibrating needle through the liquid concrete and the result was identical. 👌👌🙏🙏
The holes are the point of this project it’s a moon table

Ok thanks for the detail I didn’t understand 👍👌
I want to have bubbles !! the side without bubbles is on the bottom
That is a awesome idea but he wanted it like that... But I'm sure you don't need a 100th person to tell you that.
Good advice sending him over to the concrete master though.
Doug makes some SICK concrete creations 🤘🔥🤘
Doug.... Doug ? Doug, right ?
I think that's his name.....
Well.... Whatever his name is, he kicks ass !
Uma verdadeira obra de arte!
Браво, Мастер!
Props my dude, mad respect 🫵🪨
you used more steele than an average US house :) ... great work
Bravo!
