Here in Canada its a battle all winter with condensation. Like never ending!! I even added closed cell foam yoga mat to help. It’s impossible to keep from getting damp exceot trying to dry it out when I get time.

The biggest cause of condesation is 'us'. We breathe out warm, damp air as we sleep and it condenses on the cooler externally facing surfaces. Airflow, insulation, less breathing will all help. ;)

Great video. I am getting condensation in the same back corner as you. I did think of airing it out more when it is not raining, that is not very often in Washington :( I might have to make my garage door bigger!

Hey Mate, try the aero mesh, it made a big difference for us. Airing it out after rain makes a big difference also. 👍

@@jnadownunder I have a white mesh that came with it, it looks like it is condensation from the side wall. I will try and air it out more, sometimes it is hard. We had rain for 30 days striaght last november/december. I wonder if opening it on mornings with frost would help? I love Australia, looking forward to your trips!! I also made a video today of what it looked like when airing it out and putting the mattress back in, should be up in 2-3 days.

@@AmericanOutbackAmazing We don't have frost here mate! I'm over the rain after one day. You would find if you open it up with a frost it will make a huge difference putting a fan in to circulate the air. I will keep an eye out for your Video 👍

Im having the same problem with my rooftop tent and it already came with a condensation mat and still having this problem.
I might have to try your idea but i might also have it going up the sides of the tent.
The tent is only 9 months old used 3 tim3s never in the winter and dried out after last used and still got mold.

We open ours up once a week to air out when we can. it is worse on a hot day after rain.

I remove my mattress between camping weekend trips and open the tent every time when I clean the truck.

I can’t find a follow up on the aeromesh to see how it performed

Hi Michael, we haven't done one yet, i can tell you though the aeromesh has worked a treat, we haven't had an issue with condensation since it was installed. we still do air the tent out after heavy rain.
