Great for cyclists lol
Yeah would like to know as well please.. I laugh everytime I use our horn..
Hi guys saw your truck at Bunnings Heatherbrae today. Cheers Steve
Thanks for your expertise, I run the same tyres and I’m happy with them. It’s also good we run similar pressures 😅
Very Echo and also poor sound with the air blower in the back ground and all external noise. Cant hear him properly, maybe invest in remote microphones for them to wear.
Thanks for the feed back, we do our best, as the channel grows we will invest in some better audio equipment, Cheers Jonno
Great information, thanks guys 👍
Interesting watching your review....do you have any further review since then. I am currently traveling around Australia with them and would like to compare notes with you privately. I have them on a 6.0 GVM Fuso Canter truck, and running similar pressure to yours. Please advise how best to contact your via email or Whatsapp.
Hey mate we are just about to replace our tyres we will get around 70,000k from them. you can contact us by phone or email, our contact details are on our face book page and web page. JND Downunder. Cheers Jonno
Sebel? Model number, air horn?
What pressures do u run on corrugated tracks?
pending on how bad the corrugates are, usually around 35 psi in the rear and 30 up front. Cheers
@@jnadownunder excellent thanks for the reply. Highway pressures around 100 ?
@@1greghawk 100 when towing around 90 otherwise
Awesome review mate! Perfect.
pretty noisy--- after a week youll all have tinnitus
Have you had your truck tuned?
yes as well as an injector upgrade.
Thanks for the reply. I never heard of injector upgrades on this truck / engine. What benefits did you have from it, and who did this for you?
@@OTR-19 It was done by Isuzu, we basically run the same engine as the 230 hp
@jnadownunder, thanks again for the reply. Still learning. Only got the truck from ATW three weeks ago and had a full size canopy fitted a few days ago. We are also towing a 4000kg caravan and after the canopy was fitted I thought I left the handbrake on the caravan on. That's how bad the trucks performance was.
@@OTR-19 A tune will make a big difference. Be sure to get a tune from a reputable agent though.👍
Love the vid. This brings back fond memories. In December 1973, I left Sydney and rode my brand new Suzuki 550 triple motorcycle to Perth and back. I still have home movies of Ceduna and the old highway. I met up with two other motorcylists at Ceduna on new years eve 1973. The three of us left Ceduna on the 2nd of January 1974 heading west. The bitumen came to an end, not far out of Ceduna. It was dirt all the way to the WA border. It was about 300 kilometres or thereabouts. At times we had to slow down to 40 k/pH because of the thin layers of bulldust that was on the road. I recall coming across a guy on a 750 Honda 4 pulled over with a flat rear tyre. A couple in a car and caravan had stopped to lend him a hand. I was surprised to see that they had gathered a lot of dead grass and had proceeded to cram into his rear tyre. It was so tight, he was able to put it back on his bike and resume his journey. I didn't wait around to find out. I was out of there. Thanks for the memories.
Youll have to do this clip again you didnt mention that you have to plug the net gear into the antenna via the ts9 ports. not everyone knows about the hidden antenna connections.. mine dosnt do band 28 though which is the band you want for remote places
Where can I buy front fender flares?
ATW mate
The biggest cause of condesation is 'us'. We breathe out warm, damp air as we sleep and it condenses on the cooler externally facing surfaces. Airflow, insulation, less breathing will all help. ;)
Dude! This is the exact video i was hoping to find for my Ram Camper build. Thank you so much
You need to change that music 😢
I live in a new suburb with very bad reception. I think this will be great. Thank you for putting this together.
Do you have a build video is the slide out? Cheers, r
Annoying background music
shrimp on da barby!!!
are you still traveling and doing videos ?
Yeah mate we have been a little quiet as we have been flat out building our house, we have a new van arriving later this year then back on the road👍
I totally love tool junkies. This was a fun video!
This is tops.
What does it cost you to register the truck?
Rego isn't much moor than a Landcruiser, however its the insurance that hurts.
what is your opinion on boosting a 5G fixed wireless connection? been having problems with my ISP for years trying to get a technician out. was thinking a BYO dish, duel in duel out, but would the isp allow me to transmit through it?
Hey mate. Great set up. I'm currently trying to figure out how to mount my tent to the slide. Is it possible for you to share how you attached the awning to the slide? Cheers, Lou.
Hey mate, we used reverts through the slide into the aluminum backing of the tent.
Those birds would drive me out of my mind
Great video, my dream car has always been a troopy but the price of them.. wtf 😂 very hard to justify for how much money id have to throw at it to make it work. The smarter financial decision seems to be the truck, even if im not going to be travelling full time Keen to hear your thoughts and if you still own the troopy?
Hey mate, yeah truck works well for us, we still have the troopy however doesn't get driven much these days.
Appreciate the reply mate, cheers What would you say is the reason for your not driving the troopy? Just so I can take the info and make an informed purchase whichever vehicle I choose to buy. Its looking like I'll buy a truck though Out of curiosity, how long could you live out of the troopy for off grid, how much water can you carry etc all while being within gvm? There's no point asking about how long you can go off grid in the truck because there's no comparison aha
weight is the main reason as we carry tools for work while on the road and tow a 4500kg caravan. The troopy can be off grid as long as you have access to water the battery set up will Easley run the lights and fridge. in comparison the truck has 400litres of water compared to 90, the truck has 600ah of power with 700watts of solar compared to 100ah and 100 watts of solar, the truck has a gvm of 7500kg compared to 3950kg. With that said i do love driving the troopy as it has 225 kw and 1200nm so plenty of power @@JoshSinnott97
Yep, I can relate to weight being the deciding factor. Because you could carry bigger batteries and more water in the troopy but it's useless if it's going to send you over gvm I drive a td42 so a truck is probably faster than my forklift engine, with a troopy I wouldn't know what do with all that power aha Decisions decisions.. 4xo is building another troopy with an internal fitout anybody can bolt into their troopy, I'm keen to see what that looks like but my gut knows that it's hard to compete with how off grid a truck can take you and even just the bang for buck side of the truck The truck gives you free reign to go as far as you want. 400L blew me away tbh, the most I'd seen was 200L which I was still impressed by. Is that all done through ATW? I sent them an email last week but still no reply
Yeah ATW did our build, we have an underbody tank and a headboard tank as well as another tank in the canopy. I know ATW are quiet busy, try contacting them on facebook also @@JoshSinnott97
85 psi on road ,is that correct ?
Yeah mate, keep in mind we are running at around 7 ton
@@jnadownunder fair call,7 tonne ,bloody hell
Those canopies look hard to access for a little gnome. Would you consider getting the truck lowered so you reach things?
Hey Mate our tray is as low as it can go. We can access most things quite easy as most things are in draws, however for the hard to reach things we have a small ladder.
Beautiful truck.
Nice video, can you show how you screw the slider to the back of the shower tent? What’s screws did you use ?
Just a nut and bolt i will see if i can get a pic for you
I use a teltonic router with the RFI mimo flat panel antenna you had using high quality coax to connect them, but I set the phone to wifi calling. Works very well for calls and data...A cell fi go adds another $1000 for the same outcome...
nice video .Pity about the loud music. would rather listen to the truck engine
Background noise was too much , couldn’t watch the entire video.
Yes I like your seats comfortable
Hi guys you have a great set up enjoy your time my mate got rid of the dual wheels and put fat singles all round Yes they had a good set lockers front and back with one on the gear box yes nice
Hi johnno hope your well , love the videos of your travels, can’t wait for your other video that hopefully would be coming out soon. Can I please ask you a question re the nps ?? I also own a nps and I was thinking of purchasing a caravan, I have seen your videos of you travelling to Victoria towing a caravan, how does the nps tow ?? Might sound like a stupid question but I’m hearing stories of the transmission getting hot all the time when towing heavy loads Is this correct in your experience?? Thanks
Hey Mate, our Isuzu tows great it is the best tow vehicle we have ever had by far. Our NPS is a manual so no issues with over heating the AMT modal did have an issue of overheating however there is a cooling fan available which solves the problem. You will be surprised at how well they tow. Hope this helps
@@jnadownunder thanks mine is the amt, after driving my 79 series manual for years I thought I would try the automatic. If I had my time again I’ll go the manual. I usually drive the truck in Manual Mode on most occasions. I frequently drive through Newcastle on my way to Byron bay and funny enough I look out for you. ( driving up from Melbourne ) Would you know who would do the cooling fan ?? Thanks I’ll be driving back up early December to take the truck to atw for some goodies for it. Thanks I asked Stuart from all terrain warriors about the cooling fan and they can’t really help me. I might ask him again when I see him early December. If you know anybody that do the cooling fan’s please let me know. Thanks again
There is a couple called No where bound touring, they have cad drawings of how to make a cooling fan on there web site. With that said Isuzu now make one for them so you can now buy one off the shelf and bolt it on. Any time your heading North let me know and we can catch up, we have a couple of acers at Stroud so your more than welcome to stay.@@erolmunur5879
@@jnadownunder thanks I’ll call Isuzu tomorrow. Perth diesel tuning do one also, I’ll make the calls tomorrow. Thanks for the offer to stay at up in Newcastle also. 👍👍
Hi mate called Isuzu they don’t do anything for the nps transmission, so I called Perth diesel and ordered a larger transmission cooler, they tell me that all the mining Isuzus use this type of transmission cooler, see what happens. Have a great day.
Hey guys, just wondering how your founders tyres are going after all this time are you happy or would you change them?
Hey mate, We have 50k on them now and would expect another 15 to 20 k. we will be getting another set of founders when due. They are fantastic off road, they do wear quick if driving the blacktop all the time however we find there off road performance out weighs the highway wear.
Music, grrr
Im having the same problem with my rooftop tent and it already came with a condensation mat and still having this problem. I might have to try your idea but i might also have it going up the sides of the tent. The tent is only 9 months old used 3 tim3s never in the winter and dried out after last used and still got mold.
We open ours up once a week to air out when we can. it is worse on a hot day after rain.
Trop fort 😂
A netgear Nighthawk paired with the 2x2 mimo panel antenna like the one you had from rfi will ALWAYS provide a much better service then through a celfi unit. Reasons: Celfis can only boost one channel frequency - while the nighthawk can use carrier aggregation to combine multiple frequencies. Celfi have a limited bandwidth that can pass through the unit of 20Mhz while some tower locations have much greater bandwidth available Lastly the MIMO vs SISO using yagi antenna vs a panel antenna .. the panel has two connections so it can easily be understood that you will get a 10-20% improvement with the extra diversity antenna. It also has a much wider signal so is great in trees or with hills where the signal bounces off in random directions. I'm a telecommunications engineer
If you work for Telstra you will know that 80% your towers in regional and remote areas (where Cel-fi’s are used the most) are configured for 700-800MHz 4G with 20MHz of bandwidth. So it’s not like using a nighthawk with an overpriced antenna is providing any advantage over a Celfi especially when you consider that you have to pay for a stupid data plan and if you want to let others use it you have to give them the wifi password and tell them not to use a lot of data. And I gotta say Optus is so much better than Telstra in regional and remote areas. Provided that they have a tower in the area, which they usually do.
@KieranMahoney incorrect information, but I'm sure it made you feel better getting your opinion out there. A mimo antenna is the way to go to provide affordable internet in rural areas or a starlink service. Newer towers generally have better equipment but trying to suggest optus or Vodafone have towers in regional Australia is a joke and country people know that. Unfortunately there are alot of armchair commentary from non experts when it comes to telecommunications in Australia
I never stated vodafone have towers in regional areas. vodafone is a joke. optus and telstra are the only providers that are expanding and rolling out new technology. In my comment I made it clear that optus doesnt have towers in alot of regional and remote communities that telstra does... Im not denying it, im a telstra customer myself and ill ALWAYS be one, because of other reasons. but ive been running dual sim using optus for a couple months now and ive been many places and not only do they have better coverage, they have way faster speeds. take koah in FNQ for instance, telstra has a tower in the centre of town while optus is on the side of the highway a couple of k's away, but they still have better coverage and better speeds, because they deploy more frequencies and have more capacity! you mentioned carrier aggregation in your original comment so i know you understand it, please tell me how is telstras ONE BAND of low freq 4G better than optus' 7 frequencies of 4G. If you still can’t reason with that than you shouldn’t be working in telecommunications you should be working for Vodafone. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of armchair commentary from out of touch people like. @tmillerau
@@tmillerau anyways Telstra needs to step up their game on regional and remote sites, from what I’ve seen during their 2 week upgrade period they usually switch on a couple extra 4G bands usually for 4GX but in most towns it’s a lucky dip with the 5G as to whether you get mid or low band. Since you work for telstra do you know if their waiting for the 3G spectrum refarm to switch on low band in the areas with only mid band 5G. Or will it have to get fixed 16 years from now when 6G goes regional
This is very valuable information. Thank you. If 2X2 MIMO antenna is good, would 4X4 be better? Would you please recommend something for mobile hotspots?
Nice idea!
