I have these and they are very narrow. I even returned and went up a size and to a wide width and still has rubbed callous on arch and outside of foot. Mostly the left foot. I dont even wear a wide width on any other shoe. I really wanted to love this shoe, as the comfort level, aside from being too narrow, is great. But it has gotten to point I cant bear the callouses any longer and will have to ditch these shoes. I have read so many other reviews with same problem. You'd think by now Hoka would get the hint and redesign them to a more accurate sizing.
I have a love/hate relationship with Bondi 8. The first pair had to return, too tight, too narrow. So exchanged for 1 size up and wide width......I dont even require a wide width in any other shoe.....but still got the wide width. I could not tell any difference. Still very narrow. Aside from rubbing calous on the outer edge of my foot and inner arch, they feel great. I dont know what Hoka's deal is with the width, no otger brand runs that narrow and there have been zillions of complaints about it.
Bondi 8 hurts my feet. My podiatrist recommended it after I went to have a check up but it failed added insult to injury instead. My plantar fasciitis worsened.
The Bondi 8 runs extremely narrow in the forefront and toe box. I mean extremely narrow. There’s not much of a difference between wide and extra wide so go with the extra wide. Lengthwise order a size half to 1 up.
Tried these and the Cloudmonsters. The Bondi 8 was too narrow and felt more stiff than the cloudmonsters. Got the clouds instead and for my first run my legs barely felt fatigued, it was my breahthing holding me back when usually it's my legs tiring out! Hoping they get better once they properly break in. No idea why the Hoka's are so narrow and hard.
It's crazy I was just looking at these shoes earlier today. I'm deciding whether to get an Altra shoe, this one, or the Bala 12s for my job I'm on my feet all day. My pet peeve is whether the Altra shoes are good for flat surface walking as they are more outside shoes, and if they squeek on the floor.
I can highly recommend the Bondi for walking and being on your feet all day both inside and out, plus they come in very cute stylish versions with suede, embroidery, etc, or all white for nurses, that can still be taken out for a run if desired though they are a bit warmer. They are stable, the rocker feels awesome AND they really last forever too!!! I recommend the wider model but I fixed my toe room with the old plastic-bag-filled-with-water-in-the-freezer trick!
Idk how people wear these, i bought the bondi 8 and the middle of the sole jabs my arch in a painful way. Had to return them and saw online that other people had the same
That’s what I’m worried about. Cramped toes is torture to me, I’ve even had to scrap shoes and even some socks. Did you have standard width socks or the wide? I’m gonna go try a pair tomorrow. I have an older pair from 5-6 years ago and the toe on it was nice and spacious. What I love is how they wrap around rocks and roots and whatever like they aren’t even there. Never had a more cushioned shoe.
Dont buy them. Literally buy anything else. They are not soft and dont have good cushion. Maybe they are good for walking but not running ignore what the guy said. They are very stable but to a point you feel like youre running in a moonboot. Who needs that?

I had the exact same issue. Tried three variations of sizing but led to same issue. Now awaiting the Gaviota 5 in hope of better design.

Thank you! We're getting there one video at a time :)
Been very happy with my Bondi 7.
Agree completely: These are more nicely styled. When mine wear out...

Just talking about the update today. Glad this video was here for me :)

Why would you go up a size when they offer wide and extra wide?
Any recommendation for a very breathable cushiony shoe for summer?
Dope review per usual!
Question: im usually a 2e in 13 for hoka but with the new spacious toe box should I be good going regular 13 ?
When do these release?

Kinda bummed out how narrow these shoes are :( Seems like up to 3 miles is okay, then my toes just start getting battered afterwards

Why is it so narrow??
Bon-dye!
Btw it's pronounced Bond-i as in Bondi Sydney, not bondy ;-)
MAP violation lol!!!
The sole looked promising and I hoped they had a wide toebox. Alas, I was left dissappointed.
Too narrow for me
worst running shoes, too narrow in the midfoot..
