It still is. Most murder goes unsolved, unless you ask the FBI who say 51% are solved. But they're the FBI, they're going to inflate that number quite a bit. Considering serial killers are skilled enough to develop a pattern, they are more likely than not to avoid capture- since their killings are usually not linked. Thank you for covering these cases, Mike! I've been following the Lewis-Clark Valley murders for a long time, and I'm glad to see you put a spotlight on these largely forgotten victims. To me it seems highly likely, given the circumstances, that Steven Pearsall was also a victim of the killer in question, and I feel heartbroken for his friends and family that his disappearance has left him linked as a potential perpetrator of these crimes. Again, thank you for bringing attention to lesser known cases like these.
I believe that Kristen's remains were deliberately meant to be found on The Fourth of July... on the River where 100s of families would be in/on to "taunt" like Mike said about the journal pages placed on the farm. ✨ Condolences to the families 😢
I grew up in the Lewis-Clark Valley and lived in Lewiston from 1976 to 1979. Then we moved to a smaller local town and Lewiston was the big city. Our parents were always pretty chill back then about watching kids closely. Glad I didn't run into Lance Jeffrey Moss! Thanks for this and all your videos, Mike!
Did mike really just bring up the most popular case in my home town? Yes he did. Crazy man you even pronounced asotin properly 🤯 hits home me and my sisters were growing up here during this. You just blew my mind with this video mike. Great job
Great job covering these cases as always Mike, and good luck on reaching two million subscribers. It's such a tragedy that this serial killer hasn't been caught; however, the fact that forensic tenchnology has advanced so much over the years, and that other long unsolved cases (such as the golden state killer, and the long island serial murderer) can be solved- even decades later offers a hopeful outlook; even though it's overdue, the perpetrator will be made to face justice- and hopefully that will lead to first victim who disappeared being found; cases like hers specifically have always left me with such an ominous/eerie feeling. There is something so disturbing about the idea that a person can just vanish so completely. Everyone involved is due resolution
Hey, Mike! I was born and raised in Idaho. As kids we ran loose in our small communities with out fear, but cases like these changed that. I grew up thinking my mom was over protective only to be just as protective of my kids. If they're of any interest or help with your channel there's these Idaho cases. Paul Ezra Rhoades (serial killer) David Kaneko (lived with the mummified remains of his wife and daughter) Stephanie Crane (missing to this day, cold case) Keith Glenn Hescock (kidnapper who led police in high speed chase committing suicide as police cornered him) Amber Hoopes (missing to this day, cold case) Thank you for covering Cassie Jo Stoddart's case and I think you covered baby DeOrr Kunz. I'll have to look and re-watch as that case is extremely frustrating because the grandfather passed away and it seems the parents know more than they're saying. The most horrific cases out of Idaho has been Joseph Duncan III. Scary World we live in.
I have commented to Mike a couple of times, letting him know about the Angie Dodge/Chris Tapp story. I'm sure he doesn't read most comments, but I really think the story needs to get out there, and Mike is the one to do it! I hope DeOrr is found soon 😢

It always surprised me that the Zodiac didn’t identify himself. He loved the spotlight. Being quietly satisfied and living to a ripe old age feels unlikely. It’s a theory, but I think whoever he is, he died suddenly. He wasn’t done yet. Car accident/illness/incarceration… something stopped him in his tracks. A sadist like that wouldn’t give up on that journey. It meant far too much to him.
It’s amazing to see you blend your love of storytelling and folklore with your interest in true crime! Your technique has grown over time and it’s cool to watch!
There have been cases with less circumstantial evidence than this that were convicted at trial. I have no idea why they are dragging their feet on this one.
Probably double jeopardy. If they bring a case with weak evidence and he gets acquitted they cannot charge him again. It is a reason why authorities and the DA hold back on charges until they have enough they think will result in a conviction.
How sad for the families of those still missing. It's so heartbreaking! This is such a tragic story. Appreciate the video, Mike! May everyone's week be a great one and, until Friday, see ya'll later!!
I was born in Lewiston, grew up in Clarkston. Went to the Asotin fair a lot. Reflecting back, I truly do think it's a really good spot to hide bodies. I recall them searching the Snake River once looking for bodies when I lived there. Insane when a True Crime youtuber covers your home town. 🤯 Family story is my grandma use to live across the street from Ted Bundy's grandma and saw him a few times. I always thought "small world" when the family talks about it.
Also knowing all the locations spoken about... the drive through theater's pretty spooky. Went there a few times. Preferred viewing inside. Always thought the building was super high, like as if someone was living up there. Phantom of the Opera style.

Great video Mike, hope you get to 2 mil soon!
Oh Mike, Mike oh…lols, so close to 2 million! You are a rock star 🪩🕺🏻✨💖👏👏✌️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I believe that Kristen's remains were deliberately meant to be found on The Fourth of July... on the River where 100s of families would be in/on to "taunt" like Mike said about the journal pages placed on the farm.
✨ Condolences to the families 😢
Thanks Mike and the commenters! Makes my Tuesdays a great day! Been enjoying the podcasts w/Keith as well.
It's Wednesday dude

I grew up in the Lewis-Clark Valley and lived in Lewiston from 1976 to 1979. Then we moved to a smaller local town and Lewiston was the big city. Our parents were always pretty chill back then about watching kids closely. Glad I didn't run into Lance Jeffrey Moss! Thanks for this and all your videos, Mike!
Did mike really just bring up the most popular case in my home town? Yes he did. Crazy man you even pronounced asotin properly 🤯 hits home me and my sisters were growing up here during this. You just blew my mind with this video mike. Great job
Thank goodness you guys made it out safely! I know the feeling. I lived three houses down from the West Memphis Three 😳
Been watching since the beginning. Crazy how fast you made it... almost 2 mil! Congrats 👏
Paul Ezra Rhoades (serial killer)
David Kaneko (lived with the mummified remains of his wife and daughter)
Stephanie Crane (missing to this day, cold case)
Keith Glenn Hescock (kidnapper who led police in high speed chase committing suicide as police cornered him)
Amber Hoopes (missing to this day, cold case)
Thank you for covering Cassie Jo Stoddart's case and I think you covered baby DeOrr Kunz.
Thankyou for these cases I always love reading about unsolved cases so I've day when they are hopefully solved I'll know what the back story is
@@cc-sb1is Sorry, I missed your comment until now.
Excellent recommendation as that story just keeps going.
I'm sure you know about Tapp's murder and Daniel Rodimer being charged.
@@anitagoodman4657 you're welcome. The other commenter recommended an interesting story that continues to this day. Angie Dodge and Chris Tapp.
I sincerely hope these cases are solved, and very soon. The monster has been free way too long!
The monster is the underaged sitch and her family
It’s just sad and painful to the families and/or loved ones of these victims that their cases remained unsolved ..Hoping they will eventually find closure in the future…
I don't think the Zodiac committed the murders because he enjoyed the act. I think he enjoyed the publicity he got, which continues to this day.
He could still be alive doing other crimes 🤷🏾♀️
I agree.
It’s amazing to see you blend your love of storytelling and folklore with your interest in true crime! Your technique has grown over time and it’s cool to watch!
So true I love Mike's style and hope he gets to 2 million subs 🎉🎉🎉
There have been cases with less circumstantial evidence than this that were convicted at trial. I have no idea why they are dragging their feet on this one.
What would be your charges? Being around several crime scenes?
Probably double jeopardy. If they bring a case with weak evidence and he gets acquitted they cannot charge him again. It is a reason why authorities and the DA hold back on charges until they have enough they think will result in a conviction.
I swear Mike Is the only one who I enjoy watching talking about the promotions 😂brilliant

Family story is my grandma use to live across the street from Ted Bundy's grandma and saw him a few times. I always thought "small world" when the family talks about it.
I’m really glad your Grandma had no run-ins with that devil ! You are right about it being a “small world”, though. Have a good day! ✌️
I grew up in Kooskia after a few years in Lewiston. Def easy to drop a body and never see it again, imo. Sturgeon gotta eat too, right? 😅
Also knowing all the locations spoken about... the drive through theater's pretty spooky. Went there a few times. Preferred viewing inside. Always thought the building was super high, like as if someone was living up there. Phantom of the Opera style.
I live in Lewiston, been here most my life. This all happened before my time but I still hear about it from time to time.
Idaho has more than it's share of creepy, unhinged shit going on considering it's sparse population. I live there, so maybe it just seems like it to me, but idk.
Hi Mike, seems like you've been looking into more old cases lately. I'm really hoping someday you can cover an absolutely horrific incident that happened in my parent's hometown in the 70's: the Hi-Fi Murders (Ogden, Utah)
I've heard this story and only tend to watch Mike so perhaps he has? Maybe on his podcast? Could have been someone else though
@@blackveilkirby I've definitely watched every single one of his YT videos but I don't listen to the podcast though. The story got a lot of news coverage and I think there was like a made-for-tv movie or documentary or something like that years after so maybe that's where you've heard it before? I just really like the effort Mike puts into researching his topics, how he presents cases, etc
I've looked again and I think it was a disturban video I'm thinking of. I agree though I think Mike would do a brilliant job covering that story

The Lewiston civic theater is actually for sale right now. It’s said to be haunted, which with a history like this, makes sense. I wish I could buy it! I’ve lived in Lewiston all my life. I wish there could be some complete closure for the families of all of the victims 😢
Mike, thank you for everything! Your videos make my day! Guys, Mike is so close to 2 millions. Lets help him there!!! Love you Mike🌹
This is creepy. Some poor victims were found, but how could others disappear into thin air? I wonder why the police didn't question the guy more; it's not possible that he was so unlucky to be next to murder scenes so many times!
But it is a possibility!
@@deanobrady3.. Yeah weirdo's have acted like that about many Abducted children cases and maybe not Guilty they're just creepy weirdo's. Like the California abduction of Amber Jean Swartz a weirdo named ? Binder acted creepy he became a suspect OF COURSE he was arrested and investigated he sued the PD won I think. Their weird behavior makes them a suspect but some are innocent and just creepy no crime in that..

Mike, from idaho and frequent the lewiston area. I want to thank you for professionally covering these stories, getting the word out and telling the story. Much appreciated . Thank you and never change
It is impressive that the family and friends of all these victims have retained self control and not taken the law into their own hands. There is hope for humanity - one can be forgiven for thinking, given the never ending supply of real crime stories, that one person affected by these crimes may have 'lost it'.
How is there not more coverage on this case? Thanks for sharing it!
Hey Mike, huge fan of your content. Crazy you are almost at 2 mil subscribers, I remember when your channel was just about to break 1 mil. You definitely earned the following! Best of luck over taking this milestone- I can relate, I'm on the verge of reaching 5 subs, I can feel it! Careful, I could over take your sub count at any moment 😅

There are NO coincidences.. and I hope these missing people are found and returned to their families for proper burials.
What a shame that this is soooo cold. These victims deserve justice and the families living with gnawing pain omg its sinful. Love you Mike. You are without a doubt my fav. You are sooo sweet.
This is so tragic. When I see these foto’s I feel bad. These were real people with a whole life in front of them. Just ripped away from their loved ones and from their future. Sometimes it’s good to stand still for a moments and remember the victims. It’s all about them. If the culprit would be found after all these years that would be a mean piece of police work.

Hey Mike! I just came across a very interesting story. Joseph Parker shot his wife and left her in the freezer for two days before he found out she was alive. I believe it’s an ongoing case. Would love to see a video from you about it. One of the craziest stories I’ve ever heard. 😊
Crazy is an understatement!
From what I read he made that up about her being alive, she would have been killed instantly. Plus I highly doubt you could survive in a freezer for two days anyway. But yeah, interesting case to cover.
I’ve been watching since the beginning mike, took a break and come back to 1.9M subssss omg 😱 so happy to see your success 🥹💕
I find it interesting , the imbalance of judgment . We have seen so many cases where the perp ends up incarcerated for minor evidence where some of these other ones go free. My heart goes out to all. ❤🔥
Gosh it must be so heartbreaking 💔when you have soooo much circumstantial evidence and no justice. 😥
I hate unsolved murders, because it means the murderer/s got free, and that's unacceptable. Thanks for the stories though, Mike. Somebody's got to tell them!
I would love to hear you cover robert yates. He was a military pilot and a serial killer from spokane Washington. He buried one of his victims in his rose garden in front of his house. Super creepy dude.
