This was created by a true Diablo player.
then whys teh book make a potion sound?
What is a TRUE diablo player?
@@markuss4133 The opposite of a FALSE diablo player
@@CalmDownHarold cause he was duping, a true diablo player would know that lol.
@@Killercoldice22 💯
I never get tired of this. It's _the_ most authentic representation of Diablo that I've ever seen.
The player's reaction towards meeting the Butcher was exactly my reaction the first time I fought the Butcher. Scared the crap out of me.
Scared the crap out of all of us 🤣
I was 5 when i first found the butcher…..i was so terrified i didnt load up the game again for 5 years lmao
@@666LonerWolf seriously?!
@@666LonerWolf How lame is that! LOL
that back fire and weapon speed is very accurate too, you couldnt escape when you had been hit once
God, I love that classic Diablo music. So chill and ominous at the same time.
You mean the Tristram theme?
My diablo 2 got only 1 music, it sounds like a fast thumping heart, no voice over. All other sounds ok. It was scary af, i literally jump out of my seat when Andarial showd up. 😂
Takes me right back to the 90's every time I hear it.
“Please...listen to me...”
As the Warrior walks by holding a large pile of healing potions lol.
That he doesn't even use himself
To be fair he dies immediately after you end the conversation window. So I always felt sad rather than upset about it. I meant the guy's pixel was chopped up and lying in all his body's blood.
Well I think Pepin or someone in town says that the Butcher's cleaver inflicts wounds that are festering with disease and almost impossible to heal, so the guy was probably f**ed either way.
Ya he was the last survivor of Farnham and Wirt's Butcher Dungeon Adventure.
@@arthurblackfire5247 you could dupe using dropping a potion from your belt if you picked up an item at the same time. I loved the parody though.
This is such a love letter to players of Diablo 1, and so well done. Animation is great, creativity is great, and you immediately know which character is which through the combination of animation and sound.
It really was a big mushroom.
speaking of voice it's funny when the warrior drops his pants to fap to the sounds of the archer and succubus
This is just dumb af. Dunno what you're liking about it.
@@TinariKao not that big of a mushroom
@@trippymlgjunkrat5749 Don't mushroom shame... it's... just cold, and wet.
You guys have nailed SO MANY small details (item dupin in the beginning, butcher frame locking you, cheesin with flames) ya'll are incredible
thats so much good memories omfg
@@eliefrossard i honestly think these guys can't miss. They're always on fuckin point for sure
I cheesed the Butcher using the stairs to the next level.
The guy just duping skill books the whole time really got me.
That was perfect.
Same
So realistic ! How many time did I spent duping those expensive elixirs and damn books ! LMAO
Not even talking about epic items to lend them to friends... When PK players were about to loot them, you just had to drop the original on the ground to have the copy disappear in front of the disappointed murderer... Laughter guaranteed ! :D
And the Butcher is spot on ! Also love the Skeleton King, and the shitload of archers are spot on as well ! LOL
And of course, I did use an Archangel's Staff of Apocalypse to finish off Diablo's goons (Diablo being in the center of the room is usually unreachable :p) but the first time I finally succeeded without cheating was using Greatsword of Haste, which proved to be the most useful bonus to avoid getting knocked back...
I also remember one time my warrior got swarmed by death knights and couldn't even move while getting bashed...
The succubi running away and the stupid golem that only walked the same way as your character (and had the bad habit of opening doors leading to rooms full of monsters) was also spot on.
@@Z80Man What an amazing game right? To think it was mind blowing back then. Kids these days will never know
That game was anticipated. The free demo was released a couple month before the full release. I got a copy of the demo from PC Gamer magazine. The game had offline and online mode, but i only played online. the game lobby had an irc chat and there were lots of people on the servers. Since the game was player to player, there was no server authority, so after about a year cheaters destroyed the game :-(
The warrior who left with the succubus started a family with her and they lived happily ever Diablo.
Nope, he never caught up
The legend says he's still following her.
Cow at the back seen in 9:29 has a Horadric Cube on its head and holding both Wirt's leg and a tome of town portal. Callback to the Secret Cow level.
Call back, or call forward? Hmm!
There is no cow level
@@Dayrell-sr9tj There is no spoon, but there is cow level xd
Yup, that's a cow all right!
Also, the cow is actually a hidden NPC in the expansion Diablo: Hellfire called Complete Nut.
After hundreds of hours in this game I can confirm this is 110% accurate.
Hours spent duping items with the potions trick
Just hundreds of hours i was thinking thousands
I concur.
@@daveg9160 Your most likely right but since this was pre-Steam I didn't think to say thousands! I still have never played as the Barbarian, but I love how he looks in the remasturbated version. So I may just give him a go this time.
@@fabiolince3398 The heck with duping items. The PSX version of D1 had character import/export. Literally hundreds of hours spent restarting the game over and over and over to get Halls of the Blind and its free level of Guardian to bolster my Warrior. Fascinatingly, the cost on all spells drops to ~two mana, then starts going back up again; a Warrior with a two-mana Guardian spell has the game permanently set to 'cakewalk' difficulty, until Hell.... At which point every enemy in the game is immune to Guardian's firebolts and you promptly get wrecked, even in a full set of maxroll Zodiac equipment.
It's amazing how even in this format D1 has so much more atmosphere than most other games in that genre.
You made a masterpiece even better
I'm being repressed
Indeed they have.
CAN WE GET 666 LIKES
Man the succubus kiting the warrior for an eternity was so accurate hahaha
Why Diablo2 got a remaster instead of Diablo 1 is beyond me. Hell, both should have been done and packaged together.
Such beauty. As someone who truly enjoyed the first Diablo more than any sequel, thank you for posting this.
It's utterly dumb.
you should play the Belzebub mod. You will cream your dacks
First interaction with the butcher: Me and my brother sits in a dark basement room at the tender age of 9 and 7, unknowingly walking around. We open the door and instant regret was upon us. We spent the next 5 hours panicing over what we had just released and the next two days trying to kill him.
Good games doesnt have a ''play through time'', they have moments that will scar you for life.
Similar experience. My older brother and I thought "Yeh, we're ready", then proceeded to get scared shitless and die countless times for multiple days before swapping characters. Such a great time to have been able to experience this stuff.
I remember selling most of stuff just to get the "Brutal axe of slaying" (8-24 damage, which for D1 is like top notch, especially early levels :D, and still almost lost it :P)
Sad thing is you can never have this experience ever again with the advent of UA-cam
I had a very good Soundblaster card when playing this game, which had a couple of interesting EQ settings. When playing Diablo, I had it set on "Haunted Cavern" so most sounds were a bit echo-y and more scary. I stopped using that setting when I met the Butcher...
Same shit but I was alone, playing demos on my father'c pc at 8. Discovered Diablo 1 and the fucking butcher who scarried me for ages xD
I 100% feel the rogue’s accuracy.
i loved diablo 1 so much because of it´s atmosphere...sounds, music...was perfect
So many memories of sneaking up bat shit early in the morning the summer we got a hold of this game just to play while everyone else was sleeping. I can't believe it's been 30 years since then.
I've not played this in over a decade, but the sound effects and dialogue immediately took me back.
The rogue's hair animation as she battles to keep the door shut is a thing of beauty.
OMG, the duping part got me immidiately. :D :D Awesome video, so many memories. :)
You're watching this funny parody but you hear the soundtrack in the background and those creature sounds, and it just brings out that initial trauma. Those people sure did a good job back then.
yep
With the hundreds of hours I spent playing Diablo back in the 90s, I can say this is all perfectly accurate and hilarious. Great work!!
1:40 The sudden contrast between the easy-to-kill early mobs and the difficulty of the Butcher before much experience in the game has never really been replicated to the same level ever since.
In diablo series yes. But in might and magic 7 on first island you kill fireflies and than you encounter red dragon in cave who can one shot your whole team haha.
Duriel was close. i was always able to breeze through first two acts until the very end, in Tal Rasha Tomb. ... he is not called lord of pain for nothing
@@lukaszabojnik778 drink a thawing potion every 30 seconds for you and your merc. done. duriel does half his dmg pretty much.
The biggest issue were the invisible resistances and the fact that most skills are unbalanced and useless and most builds are not viable. Oh and merc randomly nerfed for boss fights along with all summons - except valkyrie.
Ah, the first Diablo. So rough, but my favourite of the series.
Same - I'd so fucking love a remake of Diablo 1 in the same horror feel.
Yep, same here.

02:05 lol, so true to the game.
when i heard the music from D1 start up i actually closed my eyes and smiled to myself for a moment. memories... ~sigh~
Just listened to the soundtrack a week ago. So good.
I will never forget the first game clan I ever joined in D1, the Draconian Empire. That put me on this path to where I am today... for better or for worse :p
It's depressing that the magic we 90's PC kids all shared together will never be the same. It's impossible to convey to current generations or past generations how special of an era it was and how good the games were.
@@cocoonman It was like for a brief moment in history, people made games with their hearts, wanting to make something they themselves would want to play. When companies broke free from the corporate chain to develop games with love, only to become the future corporations they hated to begin with due to leadership changes. Sure they wanted to make money, but they actually cared about the product and the fanbase. They didn't see us back then as they do now, as blood bags they can bleed when they were thirsty. And over the decades, that thirst has become completely unquenchable.
Expectations are high, standards are low, and quality is foregone in favor of a quick buck. No more risks making something new and exciting that builds a cult following or a dedicated fanbase. They only release calculated mathematical games designed with data aiming to appeal in some form to as many groups as possible, only to satisfy none of those groups and to manipulate whales into keeping them fed. Designed with data instead of with heart. Yeah... I feel like they can never truly understand it, even when putting it that way.
7:48 the Tidus' laugh made that scene even funnier
yeah i thought the same xDD
What's so funny about that laugh?
@@martins4781 you have not play Final Fantasy X i'm guessing?
@@JoseManuelCigoySegura7239 Nope. not a fan of FF.
FF10 had sorta bad voice acting at times. The Laugh Scene is so infamous that pretty much everyone knows about it if they played video games from 1990 to 2006. They will know what it is just by saying the Final Fantasy Laugh Scene. You don't even have to say what game it's from.
Oh man, I died laughing through half of this. You know these guys played the hell outta this game when you see all the details that you know so well (Cain poisoning his own well, lol). What a letter of love to an all time classic game! Great job.
6:40 my favorite music in the whole series, nothing else goes that hard and ominous at the same time
6:17 When a family member enters my room.
12:39 when a family member enters my room.
*"Listen to me..."* *"Your death will be avenged!!"*
But he's not even dead, and you have lots of potion xD
1:48 Yep we all did that as a kid lol
I actually tried to give it to him. It was the day I learned what "Video Game Logic" was.
He dies as soon as the dialogue ends. You can only replay his dialogue in the quest menu.
Anyone else find the Rogue plinking away with that bow just utterly adorable somehow?
Her moan is where the easter egg is hidden, man
How the heck did you get my player profile from the 90’s!! I let my youngest watch this as I explained the gameplay-she started laughing along with me-great job!!
cant get enough of that rogue voice
oh man you awakened an ancient memory for me with that stunlock animation while trying to run away from the butcher.
1:08 the music, the camera movement, the cool line, combined with how silly the character looks is so amazing
30 seconds in and i love it already as the dupe glitch is just running in the backround lol
This is pure gold ^^
Lautauro? :O
Omg.
Exacly :)
Right lol
Loved it. Loved the extra scenes. This is nostalgia made flesh.
The butcher’s butt 🤣 killed me with the details
I love Warrior's "Wooooooah". It is so cute and dumb at the same time.
Thank you for this Director's Cut!!!
I always find myself going back to watch all of the Diablo 1 series anyway, so this is just what I needed for a one-stop-shop!
You guys are amazing and I appreciate everything you do!
100% accurate depiction. I once did that very thing near the end with the Apocalypse staff. Walked around the Diablo rave club blasting until it was just Diablo himself left. Another time I actually defeated Diablo by stacking firewalls. I didn't even intend to -- I just panic-clicked.
I literally lost it at "SEND TP!" omg , and the duper since the beginning lol
Pure gold. Right in the childhood.

I couldn’t play the game for at least a week
That is the correct reaction to that moment lol
First time i saw the butcher i panicked so hard my character died. Haha
I read it fresh meth.... Like perhaps I need to crack one
I don't remember the word meat having an H in it...
12:14 This part on Hell Difficulty as a warrior is the embodiment of pain.
Hell Diff doesn't make it any harder. It's pretty much the same regardless. Sometimes it's harder on normal if your gear sucks. xD
The butcher moment is so freaking awesome and accurate hahahahah, I love it
I like how they are walking slowly. 100% accurate, lol.
I've never seen the first diablo game more accurately portrayed.
The ultimate Diablol cut.
I loved that! =) =D
At 1:54, I laughed my ass off. I had actually lent my Diablo CD to a friend of mine back then and the Butcher scared her so much, she immediately quit playing the game and never touched it again, ever.
The butcher was a really BAD dude but hey you´d gotten warned beforehand...I myself would never ever open a blood stained door again^^
Back when Blizzard was good at what they do ... this brought back a lot of memories, thanks!
Keep the same comment for D IV

Oh man. I'm in tears. The memories.
The butcher was so scary, I stopped playing for days just to process what happened.
I couldn't stop chuckling at this masterpiece, and couldn't stop crying at the nostalgic sfx..

Amazing... Simply amazing.
The memories flooded back instantly, and I laughed harder than I have since the beginning of Covid. Thanks for making my day/week/month/year!
3 minutes in and i am crying of laughter. I don't think i can make it.
Not me
This made me cry so hard. Omfg the nostalgia. Every tiny bit had me dying. I absolutely hated the golem just walking off and getting lost. I didn't see the nice tome of hydra come to life though. I especially loved all the actual OS sounds. This was extremely well done. God, it brought back the joy and the hate of every part.
this is amazing, love how spot on they are about EVERYTHING.
the fight against the butcher is the most accurately depicted even i have ever seen

Every single part of this was perfect, Brought back memories. My favorite was the potion duplicating glitch in the beginning and the end.

Ohhhh shit! I remember playing this game when it first came out! For a parody this was spot on to how it was playing the game online via dialup modem on the phone line. You had the PK's (people killers) and the PKK's (people killer killers) constantly doing battle while some of the players were Legit (not cheating) while the rest of us were clad from head to toe in Godly Plate of Whale armor! such fun!

Absolutely hilarious. Thank you for making.
Diablo 1 is the one i played the most online when i was like 10 years old. This is so accurate it remember me so much details about the first sequel. Excellent work.
I was waiting for it, the Archangel staff of Apocalypse, you snuck it in at the end. That was ultimate easy mode. Go in, right click 50 times, clear the entire lvl. Amazing video!! Exactly what Diablo was like!!
This is the best thing I've seen on the internet, ever.
This is and will remain as one of the best things on the internet
