I love your neutral color palate, but do you ever create with bright colors. I would love to see some pieces if you do, I am trying to figure that out. Love the way you describe--I am a retired teacher and my head likes your explanations.
Lol! Many teachers think in terms of “how can I say this so others understand?” I do use bright colors, but I haven’t for the last two series. Color to come!

@@CoriDahmen Oi! I forgot my first junk journal! I used it to write down the directions and diagrams for all the ways I found on how to turn 1 sheet of paper into a booklet and how to fold a sheet for pockets! I even wrote the crafter's name with it.
Your videos are so very informative!! I just found you and am so glad. I have a question about glue and unwanted curling. I try not to use a wet glue. Three different types of glue sticks don’t hold for a long time. So! My QUESTION is this: Do your press your collage pieces or embellished bookmarks, etc between books? Yours are so nice and flat. Thanks for any advice. 😀❣️
Hi Kathy! I'm not a gluestick fan either, but I do use (and have had good luck with) the Gorilla gluestick. I use a knockoff version of a book press to make my papers flat. Just two sections of plywood clamped together. More pressure than laying under books and super quick a nd easy to make and use.
@@CoriDahmen thanks! I have not tried Gorilla. Just received Pritt. We will see! I usually use the stick liberally on both surfaces and the art glitter glue around edge. Thanks so much for answering me. It is good to know it isn’t my gluing method alone and that the press is also important. I am now going thru your scrap buster list and making flips and pockets and such, as you inspire me, for a junk journal that I might keep inspirational thoughts in. You are really a good teacher!!
