Awesome miata. I’m building a forged 1.6 and I’m wondering about what type of head work you have done. Specifically, what type of values are you using? I have completely built my head and used Supertech 1mm oversized valves. After complaining the build I read some threads questioning the reliability of these valves. I’m wondering if I should be concerned.
Awesome fella :-) I actually came down really briefly, timed you at 2 mins 20 but noticed on here you were actually low 2 min 18 to poss a late 2 mins 17 that's epic fella :-)
Peak Performance Reviews thanks buddy. You should of said Hi. I'm still scared of the 1st corner when I came off last year. Lol still plenty of time to make up if I pull my finger out.
I literally stayed for 20 mins at Coram but had to get home, i would have otherwise but would have been late to get away if i did. Let me know next time you go down. Your driving very well there fella, takes some to wrestle anything around there in those sorts of times hence why your going past some full blown race cars, awesome. i think there is 1-2 seconds possibly in there maybe mainly the set up and perfecting a few things but your not doing a lot wrong if anything trust me. Nice one fella.
I have to ask you, what is your set up on this car? I absolutely love the way it sounds and gets up and goes...your videos of your turbo miata are making me want to get one for myself more and more for every video of it that I watch...such a beastly little car
Hiya mate I would really like to know the spec of this car as saw u said would do video of everything u done but never saw one?? I am planning on doing similar to my mx5 and would like to know what you used as this seems to run spot on!
Ian Tubon A miata with stock internals can not handle this kind of power reliably. You have to upgrade rods, pistons and oil pump at least. Would be in your best interest to use an aftermarket harmonic dampener for the crank pulley too
Oskar Jakobsson #96 thanks for the input. I alway try and ask people to give me feedback. Only way to learn. I know I need to brake later but think it's more me being protective over the car. Maybe next time I will try it a corner at a time each lap and brake later until I feel comfortable. 👍🏻then onto the next corner etc.
This car is just absolutely Crazy in the best way possible!! It Sounds so mean! I love it!!! 😍👍🏻👍🏻
I love everything about that car, I'm also pretty impressed with you driving it to it's limits
Thanks dude, wish I never broke it. :/ the engine + turbo setup lives on in a friends car.

This seems so well sorted, nice work!

Great power band! What oil pump are you running on your set up here?
It's a Boundary Billet Geared oil pump.
You're definetly Living the Dream Law ✌
My dream is to Build Up my Miata with a GTX2867R too 👌
Cango hope your dream came true, I follow the same dream

Did you do a build breakdown ?
388 brake horse power or wheel? Either way, that's amazing power.
At the flywheel :D
What transmission do you have? Because I don't think the 5 speed can handle that much power?
It's a NB 6 speed gearbox. :) depending on how you drive it they will handle 350+
How mucht cost to build this engine ?
The engine itself I did myself… but a good budget of roughly 2k will get you a good engine spec.
how much money do you think you've spent all together if you don't mind me asking would love to do a build like this!
TEAMCHUNKS LIFESTYLES I dread to think. But easily over 10k :(
ouch! expensive but so much fun, how wide are the tires at the back they seem to keep the power down well
that's a fuckin' airplane
Awesome!!!
What is the complete setup?
what oil are you running
Redline 15w50. Really nice oil.
What mods make a video
Build thread?

Stock internals? What modified did you do?

What shift knob do you have?
Rob Baez it’s a quaife style gear knob :)
Good driving! although you can brake later and get on the power alittle harder out of some turns, but otherwise your doing good:D
