  • @MazdaChris
    @MazdaChris 4 роки тому +10

    Definitely agree that suspension mods are all you really need. I've always loved drifing Roadsters. It's a slightly different driving style I find, where you have to enter the corner significantly over speed and throw it in at a good angle, then just nail thr throttle. With the low power if you try to drift with a shallow angle it'll just straighten up. Keep the speed up and just chuck it in - you can't really be timid.

    • @carcrobatics
      @carcrobatics 4 роки тому +9

      @@panikk2245 well you should start off with a decent car, if we're talking about mx5's, whatever a decent example in your area is a good place to start. Talking in USD you'll spend about $600 on your first set of coilovers, maybe another $600 to get a good bucket seat in your car, deliver your differential to get welded if you don't have an LSD, another $100. After that all you really need to do is get your fluids changed and a fresh alignment to start practicing. Seat time is more important than anything. If you have extra money investing in chassis bracing and a bjgger rear sway bar will help a lot. Good luck!

    When you started talking about the lantis I was so proud that you knew what my car is even if mine does have a dead engine but at least it's the type R which just kinda makes it harder to find an engine for

    Dude, 6.6k likes and 6 dislikes... Please keep the videos coming!! I'd love to hear you back as an announcer for FD japan too, round 1 was so boring!! No hate on Robbie cuz he was doing double duty but the other guy didn't talk much other than saying "yeah" every few minutes... Honestly was hard to watch but man did I love the driving! OG deserved that one for sure! The emotion he exhibited on his winning speech was very touching!!

    Should have highlighted that Sunny truck. It has full s13 running gear in it including the rear subframe. They were parked up next to us on North course Spring Matsuri 2019.

    Loved that green metallic colour! And as always the funny snippets at the last seconds of the video makes the ending just sweet, this time it's a 'tap' 🤣

    I've a mate who owned a 323F (Lantis) in that colour, but it looks better on a MX5 for sure.
    He always dreamed of upgrading to the 2.0L v6, a motor I still haven't laid eyes on to this day :P
    That dream never came true, but he has an FC RX7 now so I think he's content regardless!

    I had a Lantis Coupé in green but here in Europe it's a 323F BA! It was my first car and the colour name was "Smaragd Green Metallic"!
    I sold the car to buy a BMW E46 Touring and this was my biggest mistake in my life!
    Now I have an MX-5 NB 1.8S, a Roadster RS and an FD!

    Love the Mazdas, my first 2 cars were 1986 HB 929 coupes with the second one being the rare Australia only turbo version with an aftermarket intercooler, 3" exhaust and boost controller, was fast enough for me at the time.
