The Rev is the coolest, my old friend!! He used to come see us in Houston years back & hung out with him & Dusty(RIP) in London for a week..Outstanding gentlemen!!
Buk, This is as close as I will ever get to being on stage, covering a Jimi tune with Billy Gibbons, while playin' a sick vintage Tele through an old Deluxe. From the bottom of my heart, Thanks for sharing it.
that moment around 1:40 when y'all stop to check a part and each guitarist is playing it is so great. even through a camera mic, you can hear that each guitar has its own midrange character and is sitting in a different frequency range. very cool
This is fantastic!! And it's true, Mr. Gibbons is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet!! Was graced with the opportunity to meet and talk with him about 30 years ago. One of the highlights of my life.
Cool stuff as always uncle Lar, but I love how even though EVERYBODY is a somebody, its still like any band rehearsal ( in a cool way)....like "is that walk in G right"...Stop hold on , let confirm another part...hahaha so great...and fun to jam w/ btw....makes you feel like maybe your behind the ropes too.
The last live show I went to was ZZ Top at the Jacobs Pavilion (formerly Nautica in the flats) in the Summer of 2019 - we had 4th row seats dead center. It was amazing watching Billy work his magic up close.
To share the stage with the right honorable Reverend Billy G, AND RR and his sacred steel! How lucky can one guitar slinger be? Plus, we can add Mr. T to Little Tommy B and Uncle Larry. The smile on your face at about the 6:40 mark says it all. Brilliant!
I asked for more and you gave us more. So grateful to see musicians of your calibre doing the same thing I do with my band. That is telling each other what the riff is. Lol. Love that. Music is back, Covid can go to hell.
i wanna call you a lucky bastard while i sit here with chills watching you jam with Mr Gibbons and Mr Randolph but thats just not fair. you earned the right to grace that stage with respect! your boy from CLE residing in CLB!
Such a nice story and great jam, why are the most talented musicians are always the most humble and down to earth people ? So great to live such precious moments tom So happy for you
Here I am sitting in my little 'ol home office, watching the Buk jam with the Rev and 3 other guitarists, and a steel player Robert Randolf, covering a Jimi power Trio song.. you know what.. I wish I could be that lucky. Reminiscing playng in Dive bars jams years ago .. You go Uncle Larry! Thank You for this vid!
I watched a documentary about ZZ Top a while back where the 3 of them turned up in Billy's car for the interviews. Such nice, quiet spoken, humble guys. They way they stuck together over the years, especially when Frank went off the rails for a while, just like family.
I know you have played with a lot of famous people and great musicians, but jamming out on "Foxy Lady" with Billy GIbbons has got to be a career highlight.
Ladies and Gentlemen, but especially the ladies, may I present to you the Legendary Billy F’n Gibbons! Thank the lord I caught a few ZZ Top shows in my time. I had to convince my brother to go to one, he thanked me afterward because it was an amazing show and he was thoroughly entertained.
You are such an inspiration, Tom. These behind the scenes episodes are so uplifting.. When you get back to base camp, how about a Homework episode. Just to see if we have retained all of this valuable tutoring, you have unselfishly shared with us. I'll say it again, the content on your channel is Bad Ass, and globally appreciated, man. 🍻👍
Hello I'm not a tele guy! Got a gig with an Icon like Rev. Billy. Let's see. What guitar should I take? Oh I know. I'll take this ol' beat up double bound and down tele! HAHAHA! Love this video man! Watched a bunch! You're hilarious brother. Good seeing you at the show in Franklin. Big Ol Rolling Rock CHEERS!
My two favourite things about this. 1. The amount of attention you give to the others. It’s so important to listen to the others and you do that perfectly. Secondly is how you play with that massive smile on your face. I know times haven’t been easy for you uncle Larry but it’s great seeing you do what you do best and loving every second of it.
Hey Uncle Tommy, there are at least 66 thousand people here that think you are one of the coolest dudes on the planet and love you, including me!! It was cool to see The Rev, and his pinstriped SG with the Flying V head, but we get to hang with you for awhile every week!! Be well ol guitar Sensei !! 8) --gary
Loving the tele man! My #1 guitar for the past couple years looks exactly like it apart from the sides being black and it being a reissue. Works great for everything and looks sick too.
Billy loves his Hot Lava oozing Magnatone amps, they come with a standby switch that is a direct phone line to the Fire Department just in case if they are needed. LOL 😂
Haha the deceptive walk up notes, brings me back to first learning this song and guessing at the wrong notes from memory. My mate still plays it wrong, in another way. He's been gigging it in his solo accoustic set too long now to remember the right notes on the fly, we play it wrong every time hahah
Great to see Lance Keltner on stage! Dr. Tone
The Rev is the coolest, my old friend!! He used to come see us in Houston years back & hung out with him & Dusty(RIP) in London for a week..Outstanding gentlemen!!
ZZ Top and Pantera together in one room is the most Texas thing I can think of. Thank you for all the amazing music and inspiration over the years🤘
An awful lot of cool music from Texas. An awful lot of attitude.
Anything with Billy Gibbons is awesome!! Thanks Tom.
Glorious. Is that MIKE MILLS on bass???
Your the coolest uncle anybody could have, thank you for the field trips. just awesome !!!!!!
2:20 love the nod from Billy G. confirming what you showed him was right. so cool!
I love watching band practice, getting to see how it all comes together.
I don't know how I missed this one, but I'm glad I found it. What an awesome, fun upload!
Awesome....looks like Mike Mills from REM on bass?
Buk, This is as close as I will ever get to being on stage, covering a Jimi tune with Billy Gibbons, while playin' a sick vintage Tele through an old Deluxe. From the bottom of my heart, Thanks for sharing it.
Dude!! How freakin’ awesome!! Thanks for giving us a glimpse, Uncle Larry!! The Rev is one of my all time favorite guitar heroes.
Billy Gibbons and Robert Randolph?! That's a darn good day!
Love these road videos Tom. Thanks!
I was just happy to have a great band rehearsal tonight, then I get home and oh.. look.. Uncle Larry is jamming with Billy G.. lol
Wow!
Thanks Tom!

Looks like a great time. Loving these videos.
Robert Randolph kills it!!! Always !!
It must be fantastic to get to work with people you grew up listening too. Great jam, always nice to see how you interact with the other players.
thanks for this!
So cool Tom!! He is one of my idols too. How awesome is that to be on the same stage with Billy Gibbons!! Wow!
Give yourself some credit Tom. If the coolest guy on the planet remembers you and gives you a nickname...you are definitely a cool dude.
excellent point
Love the Rev!! Thanks for sharing your time on stage!!!
I got to meet Rev. Willie G at a guitar show here in Austin back in the late 90s and it made me weak in the knees. He is just the coolest.
Het Tom, thanks for hooking us up with such cool shit! And also thanks to whomever you enlisted to record it.
Kudos to Marshall, brilliant!
Beautiful share my friend, fantastic music concert, I enjoy your song, wonderful band.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful song.
Living the dream! I don’t know why but the last few posts totally remind me of old school family videos on VHS.. except completely epic. What a treat
This weekend's content was, as the kids say, the GOAT! It really shows me that the professionals are no different than the rest of us.
Please more vids like this. Absolutely awesome to watch you play with BG and Robert Randolph. Too F'n cool. :)
So cool , my mind would be blown if I was just there watching , let alone playing !!!!!
Awesome stuff. Thanks for giving us an 'onstage' pass for your rehearsal. Livin' the dream. Congrats, you've earned it.
You’re very respectful laying back. Would’ve liked to have seen you unleashed on a lead!!!
That steel player is from another planet. The jam from about 4:15 is phenomenal. I didn’t think that was possible on a steel guitar.
I think its Robert Randolph. If it's him, he was on the Clapton crossroads videos. Incredible player !!
Yeah, I'm surprised almost no one is mentioning Robert Randolph. He's great.
@@robertbutton9428 ❤❤he sure was
@@heebsdad1 yu
Im surprised noone is mentioning that he should learn the simplest of Jimi's songs before he attempts to jam them with the pros.
The last live show I went to was ZZ Top at the Jacobs Pavilion (formerly Nautica in the flats) in the Summer of 2019 - we had 4th row seats dead center. It was amazing watching Billy work his magic up close.
Dear lord. The collective talent on this stage, sweet Jesus. And Marshall is ON POINT. Kid has it.
Thank you for the glorious gift of this video!

Looks like no person or no thang is too cool for our uncle!
Awesomeness!
God Bless!
Wayy cool Buko! 🍀🤙🍀
My pupils dilated when I saw The Rev just chilling with you all onstage. However, that steel player is absolutely off the handle, Holy moses.
This is fantastic in all ways.
Billy is legendary for a reason, just a class dude. you are to Tom.
i wanna call you a lucky bastard while i sit here with chills watching you jam with Mr Gibbons and Mr Randolph but thats just not fair. you earned the right to grace that stage with respect! your boy from CLE residing in CLB!

The Good Rev Billy G and Mr T! How cool is that!! Go Tommy Go!
What a fun job!
Piano guy, new to guitar here-- How does it work w/ so many guitars in one band? I count three electric guitars, one acoustic, plus lap steel & bass.
Kenny Arnoff is like the engergizer bunny.. 😂😂❤
This is freaking awesome Tom!
Such a privilege to get this sort of insight, thanks again Tom!
that steel playing is incredible.
Its pretty crazy!
Great player with a great band. He tends to hog the spotlight, though.
I watched a documentary about ZZ Top a while back where the 3 of them turned up in Billy's car for the interviews. Such nice, quiet spoken, humble guys. They way they stuck together over the years, especially when Frank went off the rails for a while, just like family.

That's bad ass!!! Love me some Billy G.
Man what a great way to spend the day. I am also a huge fan of Billy. He is a legend for sure. So cool.

Love the fly on the wall feel, and damn....Billy Gibbons!
Is that Mike Mills from REM on bass?
Very cool and different sound with the steel.
Loving these Little Tommy!
Good to see Billy G in good health. A friend of mine was backstage at a ZZ Top concert and said he was looking quite frail.
Uncle Larry time !!!!!!!!!!
Wow! It's da Rev!

Well, let's unpack this, shall we? If Billy Gibbons is up there, you're gonna be paying A LOT of attention!

Adding this to the saved list for sure! 👍

ZZ BUK❤
Might start watching this first thing every Monday morning.
Even the Rev Billy G is learning the intro from uncle Larry’s. 👍🏻😎
Oh hell yeah... Billy is very cool. Came and did a concert for Columbia SC during the floods, brought a band and was Rockin and a Rollin!!!
F is one smoove dude!!!🤘🏼👍🎸
Robert Randolph is the shit!!! I’ve seen him many times. What a talent.
So cool!
BFG looks relaxed in his jammies… 🤣 damn that tone he gets is rockin’
Billy loves his Hot Lava oozing Magnatone amps, they come with a standby switch that is a direct phone line to the Fire Department just in case if they are needed. LOL 😂

lots of badasses up there, and take note of Kenny taking notes, the pro of pros
Love it!
Tres Hombres is my favorite Z Z Top album with a lot of high school memories associated.
Well dang man ... playing with the top of the heap! I can dig that
Sweet. Love being in the early class.
Did they eventually let the girls sing the background during that song? It would sound killer
Tom, you are pure talent and much too modest. You make up part of the elite in that room! Great video, brother!
Awesome!
