Fellers, some of yall are COMPLETELY missing the point, the whole purpose of resurrecting this heap of rust. It's not can I get a decent looking truck to run and drive, it's can I drive a hopeless heap of junk with an awesome patina out of these woods. And why in the world would I want to ruin this patina with a big ol bright red door from another truck??
Understand the thinking, but I don't think you completely understand what "patina" is. Haha This is just a rusted out body with very little patina. However, I think it's awesome!
Glad you are having fun, I am having fun watching you! Reminds me of the John wayne (?) war film rescuing nuns in the far east using a bus that had turned into a chicken coop and the engine taken out to run a generator...
I have built 2 chevy three quarter tons fresh out of the wrecking yards, a '74 and a '78...I'm overwhelmed at the skillful professionalism of this man...I envy you, alot of good ideas I could have used in doing my rebuilds. 🇺🇲😀👍
I love your perseverance, no matter how much bad luck you run into, you just keep plugging along. Never afraid to get your hands dirty. I like your style Mr. !
I hear that the mind is a terrible thing to waste... you have me just near a rolling on the floor at times. I just know you moved most definitely to no. one on the favorite must watch! I can relate to this so well
This truck brought me to your channel and now im a subscriber. I totally get what your doing here and i think its awesome. Keep up the good work. Cant wait to see it run and drive from its grave.
All it needs is a bath and a paint job and it's a Sunday driver! 😁👌 Tetness shot up to date Chad? 👍enjoy your videos and the work you put into them to give us great content to watch! By the way there are a lot of will it run you tubers out there but I have never seen any do what you are doing here, it's epic.👌👌
This definitely has been the very fun little series it's amazing what people will ditch in abandon out in the woods. Got a spot where we do a lot of four wheeling with our trucks no gravel pit it was notorious place for stolen cars to be stripped and ditched on a good day get up on the big hill looking down on the quarry you can see the shine of chrome bumpers and stuff I know they pulled out about 30 cars about 2 years ago out of there and there's so many vehicles just stripped and abandoned out in those woods we actually took an old suburban and made it a bridge it had been rolled and smashed pretty flat dragged it over the creek crossing that's pretty bad and use that as the main structure of the bridge that we built in the truck and the trees but I pulled a few runs out of vehicles out there in a couple motors. This is definitely been a lot of fun watching you do this way better than a lot of those will it run videos for me get some old car drags it home and gets it running what you're doing is well beyond that and much more fun and enjoyable I believe that will it run videos are good depending on what it is they're doing you have a pretty good variety of things you get running again reminds me of your candle reminds me of mustie1 videos cuz he does will it runs on all kinds of stuff and then he does a lot of other random projects on there your camera reminds me a lot of his which is a good thing it's different why when I found you I have binge watch all your previous videos you do a great job you really do thank you for the hard work you put in your videos for us much much appreciated. Thank you and have a great evening
This is gonna be one heck of a "will it run" series! It's gonna be epic if you can drive it home in the end, I tell you what. And I was thinking, what if I was a local that used those woods to walk my dog, and I had walk passed that old C20 sitting on the frame in the mud for years, and all of a sudden it's sitting on four tires with new shiny parts on it... I'd be like "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE!!???" LOL! 👍👍
I've said it before I'll say again I've fixed trucks in similar shape and sometimes parted out better trucks to repair them and then fix them reminds me of the Chevy truck i put better fenders and a bed on it was a C10, and the parts trucks were a k10, and a k20 and both of them had a better cab but needed doors rockers and cab corners and the holes under the corners of the windshield patched and then the outer part of the floor on both sides patched
Some determination and a whole lot of skill and you're proving a complete pile of rust can come back to life. Great job, I enjoy watching your videos 👍☮️🇺🇲
I love this channel and the content. Out of all the build series I've seen this one is the best. I love how you just went huntin in the woods for a rear end. Priceless😂😂😂
I think this is nice...because I do this heap of junk thing too. Got me a fully dismantlet c10 and now i'm putting it back together piece by piece. No-one wound have believe that it'll run ever again, I'll pro em wrong ;)
I remember being young and wondering about a grown-up all by their self talking to no one but carrying on like you. Funny thing is in the 70s there was no internet. Or was there
You got that good looking truck off the ground that's wonderful .wonderful video look forward to the next one and by the way you never did say if it was redneck tetness or regular ? 🤣 You need to wax it when you get it out of the woods.......
Love a man with a plan (...) And I like this wood preservation project, it's all about nature these days and all that sweat and elbow grease you put in it seams pretty natural to me 💪🤣
I use to work for a company and the owner always glazed his rotors and we had to clean them up we used a die grinder and cleaned them up yoy can hit both sides as long as the calipers are off
10 out of 10 for effort Chad👍👍 I have to admit, I thought you were bonkers when you first mooted the idea of driving Lockjaw out the woods. But now, in the words of The Monkees, I'm a Believer🤣🤣 Yet another fantastic series of videos from you👍
I don't call saving things fixing them and then reusing them cheap, I call that smart and frugal, I grew up in West Virginia we were poor and if we didn't fix it and or refurbish it we just didn't have it.
Looks like she’s ready to roll! Careful with those rusty edges, LockJaw might bite. Your doing a good job bringing her back around. Can’t wait to see her run and drive.
Why would you ruin the patina (other than to get to the other side of the road)? ... ummm ... to have it so you won't fall out on the turns? Maybe? 😉 Look at it this way, you could have "My Truck of Many Colors" painted on the back of the cab! Just kidding - do it any way you want, it's your truck! But I will relate this - way back ('72 or so) my Dad wanted a pickup truck, so Mom & I searched around. Found a big old '60 Chevy 3/4-ton fleetside at a gas station - for $350 bucks. It was dark olive green metallic and had "Bong City" painted on the back of the cab. Dad fell in love with it and he and I drove it home (and promptly repainted it Black & White two-tone). On the ride both he and I almost fell out of the thing on turns as first one, then the other door would fly open. "Good doors make for good journeys"- I think Robert Frost may have written that. 😁 Have to say this - you made quick, and pretty easy, work out of putting a front end on that old chassis! Good job! The rear end was a job more - too bad you'll have to re-do much of it. You clearly won 'The Battle of the Brakes'. Strange to see new parts on ♪♪ ... the old, rusted chassis from long, long ago ... ♪♪ Can't wait to see the tractor hoist an engine/transmission in there. Thanks for the great content.
Hello Mr Chad! First off, thank you for being such a genuine individual that (imo) is willing to share your knowledge in such a humble way! I have a non-mechanical related question. I was wonderin'. What do you wear/apply/spray on to be able to work in the woods, like that? I'm surprised at the fact that it's summertime in Tennessee, which equals hot n sweaty, yet I haven't seen you swat one skeeter. Being the resourceful American that you are, I imagine that you have some magic potion ya brew up. Whatever it is, can ya let us know?
Enjoying this truuuuk and it's progress back to life. What are you going to do with it? How many days in the making of the videos so far? I can agree with you about being in the country - I like nothing better than going out into the bush and listening to silence, the sounds of Africa and the voices in my head!
Just found your channel. This is hilarious I've often wondered if such a dilapidated vehicle could be put back together and driven. I'll be following this.
Your determination is truly outstanding verging on amazing ,,but do see your long term plan , wish had same place and space! to do the exact same tis so frustrating..
TowRolla got some competition.... LOL I live lowered duallies, but.. I think you should leave this one be. It checks lots of useful boxes just like it is.

I'm with you, I work on discarded equipment often. I'm amazed by what gets thrown out
Understand the thinking, but I don't think you completely understand what "patina" is. Haha This is just a rusted out body with very little patina. However, I think it's awesome!
Where my homma??👍
Don't bother with brakes, the floorboar outta be open where you can stop it like the flintstones.🇺🇲😀
@@rickyvaughn2252 I'm well aware of what patina is and this truck has lots of it.
Not a bad job for one man in the back woods of Tennessee! I haven't seen an old bumper jack like that used in 45 years or so, loved it! Good times!
Watching this expletive free video is a lot of fun.
That truck is not a project, it's a commitment!
This type of project uses all of your mechanic skills. And seeing all of them is why I'm watching this series. Keep it 100% country. GOD BLESS!!
Preshate it!
Not sure why but the theme song to Mission Impossible kept playing whilst watching! You’re amazing!
Geeez, i did not want this particular video to end.
Was just down in Tennessee last week and yes it is hot down there. Great video
Glad you are having fun, I am having fun watching you!
Reminds me of the John wayne (?) war film rescuing nuns in the far east using a bus that had turned into a chicken coop and the engine taken out to run a generator...
It's rising from the grave. Old Chevys never die!
This one had a heart implant, and both prosthetic legs transferred though.
If u ever have to do that again with those control arms a ratchet strap works great for winching crap like that in place without loosing fingers
I have built 2 chevy three quarter tons fresh out of the wrecking yards, a '74 and a '78...I'm overwhelmed at the skillful professionalism of this man...I envy you, alot of good ideas I could have used in doing my rebuilds. 🇺🇲😀👍
Good job on that old truck putting it back together.
Good video and a propane torch will take care of them frozen up brake lines just about everytime. A little helpful hint there brother.....
There you are again without your hat! Be careful around all of that jagged metal! You are a man of the earth!
I really am enjoying this build about Lockjaw. Good to see it coming along. Those old trucks are coming back. No computers either!
I love your perseverance, no matter how much bad luck you run into, you just keep plugging along.
Never afraid to get your hands dirty. I like your style Mr. !
This Guy is doing such a great job👏
I learned a lot. Thank you for sharing your experience.
You must get a lot of people saying why don't you do it this way or why don't you do it that way but you know what you're doing keep it up I like it.
When that fender well fell, I almost soiled myself! I thought, for a second, the whole truck fell on you. Glad you survived!
I hear that the mind is a terrible thing to waste... you have me just near a rolling on the floor at times. I just know you moved most definitely to no. one on the favorite must watch! I can relate to this so well
It's so peaceful out in the woods! Except when that crazy guy comes out and hammers on them old pickup trucks :-)))))
Hey chad, their's nothing like a good Ole rusty chevy coming back to life. Really enjoy watching you brother

Your doing just great work on that truck, thanks for taking the time to do this i will look forward to part 4
Saving the unsaveable, your my kind of guy! Really glad I found your channel. I grew up doing this kind of stuff with my dad on WWII trucks.
This is an epic series

Buddy you earned my subscription. This is some major dedication.
Preshate it!
It’s always a learning experience Chad ! More Power to you!
I haven't seen a farm jack like that in many a year. They are great for everything.
That ole girl is gonna be like Christine driving out of those woods. CHEVROLET STRONG 💪
Looking forward to seeing her go. I give you credit, she’s in tough shape.

Gonna be awesome seeing that old truck drive out of its grave !
Be liking your content. It’s a lot of fun watching you bring those old engines back to life. Brings back old memories of my grandfather.
Man that poor old truck needs some serious fabrication.
Hell ya lovin it man can’t wait to see it moving under it’s own power great job as usual my friend
This is fantastic. When his truck is done find some other piece of classic American steel and do the same thing. Forever
This is gonna be one heck of a "will it run" series! It's gonna be epic if you can drive it home in the end, I tell you what.

If it was me, I'd have fixed the red one, but this is commitment!
That's a fine looking chef lol you can fix it lol
Wholly crap, that truck you took the steering knuckles off of looks better than the one your putting them on.🇺🇲😀👍
Man is this truck rough but I like it.
Some determination and a whole lot of skill and you're proving a complete pile of rust can come back to life. Great job, I enjoy watching your videos 👍☮️🇺🇲
Abm, wer keine Arbeit hat macht sich welche, raus aus dem Wald mit dem Schrott

I think this is nice...because I do this heap of junk thing too. Got me a fully dismantlet c10 and now i'm putting it back together piece by piece. No-one wound have believe that it'll run ever again, I'll pro em wrong ;)
Ignore the naysayers, most of the time they've never done anything in their life.
A great educational video. Only thing I worried about is the farm jack. I had a bad experience with one. Please be careful with them things.
The truck might need just a little help, but that grill looks really good. Lol
This is my new favorite channel. I sure am glad I came across your videos. Keep up the awesome content!
Man I love this! Great work man! Can't wait to see more.
I remember being young and wondering about a grown-up all by their self talking to no one but carrying on like you. Funny thing is in the 70s there was no internet. Or was there
Well done. You bringing it back.
Wow you got a lot done ! Great seeing it on four tires.Thank you for the video. All my best. Liked, shared.
Man that's cool at least you are givin' her it's last chance. even if it needs a complete new body. still fun project.
I’d go to the dump and pick up some old appliances for sheet metal to rebuild the floors and add some structure back to the cab
Good gawd brother 1st video i heve looked at and im hooked! You dont give up good to see.
Brilliant stuff, very enjoyable. Regards from Sheffield UK. Alec

You know what? I think I will wax it! I decided to name it LockJaw.
Out of all the "will it run and drive channels This N That Garage says...hold my beer. lol
Hard hard. Work. Good. Luck. My. Friend

Yet another fantastic series of videos from you👍
You remind me of me! Taking some lump of rusty iron that should have been gone years ago and breath new life into it. Just good me-ka-nikin' !!
I think you should have started with the red truck that the rear end was in
My favorite rear truck axle. Corporate 14 bolt full floater.
Probably a semi floating gm corporate 14 bolt rear but yeah
I don't call saving things fixing them and then reusing them cheap, I call that smart and frugal, I grew up in West Virginia we were poor and if we didn't fix it and or refurbish it we just didn't have it.

She's really rusted. But i think its the truck on the intro thats doing burns outs down the street. Dont judge a book by its cover😂
You are a mad man, but it's entertaining keep up the good work
You should take the door off the red truck put it on the white one. Awesome job

Whole new definition to literally running and driving out of the woods
So I must admit I've been enjoying watching this series! But I'm starting to think maybe you're not hooked up right.
😁 👍
