@@CrazyByDefault Why stay on top of what city? The Last City? That wasn't built until well after the Collapse. There was nothing below the Traveler until humanity huddled underneath it. This is chronicled in the 'Constellations' lorebook where the Traveler wishes for 'something to grow' in its shadow.
@GeeBeeOhThree brother, in Witch queen dlc, Savathun wanted to "protect" the traveler inside her throne world, from who do you think that idea come from? The traveler itself wanted to hide there, he was read to abandon us same way he abandoned the eliksni.
It is likely going to be Mithrax but... what about our old buddy Variks? If you think about it even when he was on Europa with Eramis he never really aligned with the darkness and acted always to protect the great machine and its followers going as far as contacting us for help with all the risks that brought upon himself. In doing so he may have saved for sure house light if not most non scornified Eliksni. He's also an old judge and scribe with a huge wealth of knowledge from the old days of Riis before the whirlwind.
Wonder if Mithrax is able to interpret these memories/visions of the Traveller because of the concentrated Darkness he absorbed from Nezarec's relics back in Plunder, maybe like a side effect?
Some characters, can receive visions from the Traveler. But, long before D1 released, there was concept art of the entity of the Light. The Gardner. Her opposite, the Winnower. I’ve always viewed the two in a sibling relationship. A brother of dark, and a sister of light. But, I can’t help but wonder, if we meet her through Mithrax receiving visons of her? Maybe she lays dormant deeper in the Pale Heart? And the Traveler is merely her domain? What if Mithrax is the first to meet the Traveler’s true form?
Sadly I think to speculate this heavily on these few voice lines is unreasonable. They didn't reveal any entities in the finale of their 10 year saga, why should we start to get our hopes up now that they would suddenly reveal a gardener and winnower as actual speaking, acting things through some visions of a singular character.
My headcannon has always been that the traveler would bless our allies with the light in order to defend it from its enemies. When Savathun was granted the light, I was so hopeful we would also see Caital and Mithrax be blessed with the light in some form.
Hold up... is Mithrax basically a data miner - like IRL people who try to go into the game code for secrets? That would explain the theme of him basically being a prophet telling the future...no?
been a big Mithrax stan since in his purple NPC days in base game. so glad he plays such a big part in the story now-a-days, and will in the future. ::3
Hearing more of these traveler perspectives makes me want its perspective of what happened in the Red War. What emotions was it feeling? What were its thoughts on Ghaul or what was happening to the Guardians?
Back during plunder, I was really hoping they were taking Eramis in the direction of first eliksni guardian. My theory was she would eventually turn on the witness to protect Eido and as like a “our future is in your hands now” kinda move. And then get resurrected. I can definitely see it being Mithrax now tho
Since they pointed out the Misraaks still has the curse and Michawas saying how the nightmares are an unused resource I see something with Misraaks learning how to use darkness coming and it will have some affect on him not the corruption itself but because of his religion in the Traveler
This isn’t related to this topic but I just rewatched your video on Toland the shattered. My theory is that he is going to be the big bad in the 3rd episode, he is going to get his hands on the echo and do some things on the dreadnought. Just wanted to drop this idea here and see if anyone has any other insight.
I really hope Misraaks becomes the first Eliksni guardian! It could open the way to finally having my dream since D1 of playing as an Eliksni character!
The light is in all places, in all things. Safe to say that mithrax would be able to have a connection to the light as we see that light returns to light
I can see Mithrax dying in act 1 of Revanvet battling the scorn leader and being brought back by a ghost in act 3 but with his memory intact because of the combination of light and dark in the traveler and rising too be come the Kell of Kells and our new speaker
I’m positive there have been different small bits and pieces in the lore that hint at Mithrax having more “pain” as time goes or something. I remember there was one lore tab where Saint and Osiris were trying to recalibrate Mithrax’s splicer gauntlet or something. I don’t recall the reason why, but I thought it was because Mithrax was suffering in some way. Idk, but I do know that Bungie is being very subtle and slow about this whole “Curse of Nezarec” thing going on.
Those feathers are all over the pale heart, not just the cysts. They are in the patrol areas as well. I think there is a triumph to track that says there are over 30 of them.
Now that the Traveler is being changed by Darkness, I wonder if whoever takes the title of Kell of Kells might somehow represent both the Dark and the Light. Maybe a co-ruler situation with him and Eramis?
I would absolutely _love_ eliksni guardians, in my mind the most likely candidates are taniks, eramis and mithrax, taniks because it would be funny for the guy thats died at least five times in lore to come back as something that straight up cant die under most circumstances, eramis because itd be pretty much eliksni crow and mithrax because as stated in the video it could be a really good sacrifice in the story (although yeah him dying would suck)
Kinda controversial, but I interpreted Eramis talking about Eido being the savior of their people back in Plunder, as her being the Kell of Kells. Missraks definitely seems like the eliksni speaker, but i believe Eido will become the Kell of Kells. It also fits with Bungie's pention for parrells, as Mithrax being a speaker and guiding Eido as did The Speaker guide Zavala.
Ghost stories lorebook titled: savin. If i remember correctly refers to an fallen that was rezed by a ghost. It possible that this fallen could be a contender for kell of kell. Edit I'm wrong just re read it
I always had the theory/assumption that Misraaks would become a light bearer of some kind, one of if not the first. Bungie has been hinting at more species becoming guardians for a while now and whether they become playable or not the Eliksni would make sense to be the next to have risen.
It would be unfortunate if the upcoming Fikrul episode were to not involve characters like Eramis, or even Variks, given the rather heavy implication from the development CG that Fikrul is not only amassing an army, but one filled not just with Scorn, but normal Eliksni in numbers never before seen prior.
Im more in the camp of Guardian Misraaks. But I wouldn't be opposed to a Redeemed Namrask. From the Butcher of London, to a simple weaver, to another beacon of Light.
The way Rasputin died, I can’t but wonder if he’ll return one day as a Guardian, and perhaps regain his memories through darkness by visiting somewhere familiar. Such as the Cosmadrone, where the satellite he originated from, still lays. Maybe he will return in time to help us defeat Xivu Arath one day? It’s hard to say, as his story was seeminly quite conclusive. Then again, we could see a storyline in which we may need to rebuild the Warsat Network from the ground up. Recovering the plans, and means to do this, should be more possible with the Neomuni’s aid.
In addition to the new Lore that dropped with week 3 of the "season" I wouldn't be so sure if he makes this out alive, yet if he comes back as a guardian, he will undoubtedly be hailed as the Kell of Kells Also "moved" can mean a lot of things. Not only can it mean what you implied, the physical action, but also the emotional response could be meant, no? The Traveler could be impressed by Misraaks and chooses to ressurect him, therefore having been MOVED to action (or moved by empathy for that matter)
The Guardian Creed isn't exactly the only way to be blessed with light as with tail Shin Malphur and the hunt for Dredgon Yor. Mithraax might end up having a similar type of blessing.
10:40 All this is just me rambling more then anything, but there also maybe Savathun in the witch queen with her ritual. Not exactly the same way of moving the traveler as Rasputin, but it sure is something. This could possibly extend to us as well, since the Traveler still left her throne world by choice, so maybe us proving our strength gave it hope of the Witness Death?
Rasputin’s actions might have caused the traveller to stop leaving, but there was another who’s actions & might arguably caused it to start doing so - and that’s Eramis
Me personally, i believe it would be interesting if Eido got to be Kell of Kell's. She has bonds with all the races, and shown to have the bravery to put her life on the line. Also her nickname is "Child of Light" and is know by Eramis as "The furture of their people." Besides despite me lovimg Misraaks i believe if he dies and comes back ot wouldn't be the same. If Eido does and comes back with Misraaks's Guidence she can become the future the Eliksni needs
I kind of wonder if future guardians will be resurrected with memories intact, now that the Traveler has been changed by the darkness. Darkness is the power closely linked to memory, itself. Savathun even used the power of darkness to restore Crow's memories, before the Witch Queen expansion. So it is hardly unprecedented. I find it unlikely, but the possibility exists. Though, the Traveler tends to view memory as a heavy weight for one to bear, and he gives people a second chance as a new person. However, if it is vital for the Traveler's survival, I could see it giving someone that burden. Even if everything I've said is just out there, it is fun to speculate on the future of a narrative.
I have a theory about why we haven’t heard anything about non-human speakers. There’s a popular theory out there that humans have a “core of darkness,” so I’m wondering if that is why we can commune with the traveler. Since darkness is the power of the mind and all of that. Mithrax would be able to now commune with the traveler since he now had a connection to darkness through nezarec
My hope is that Eido is the one who fulfills the prophecy. She's honoring and acknowledging Eliksni history, learning from it, but she's one of the few of her people that isn't pining for old Riis. She sees what the Eliksni CAN BE especially in cohabitation with humanity.
To my knowledge of the prophecy involving the Kell of Kells, I do not think it was ever said if this Kell is an Eliksni or not. Then again, I could be wrong.
The way I see it we've got three likely contenders for the Eliksni becoming guardians. 1. Mithrax 2. Eido 3. Eramis In my own interpretation of story writing I have doubts about Eido, as they seem more of a catalyst to the other two. If such a time should arrive where Eido preforms the guardian tenants and dies, not becoming a guardian that could drastically push both characters into altering directions, as both see Eido as their peoples future, Mithrax's faith in the traveller could be shaken which in turn could lead to one of two outcomes for Eramis, one being the likely continued war on the traveller, however if she herself is responsible in some way to Edio's death, perhaps she'd finally surrender her hate filled war. Just my thoughts on a story outcome.
I'd love to see a redemption arc for Eramis, feels like that's what she's being set up for. She went off to try and find Athrys, maybe Athrys became a monster hunter out in space and can guide us in the next episode
I remember when I first did that mission on Titan I’m pretty sure I killed Misraaks. My guardian is probably living the darkest timeline rn

Misraaks even has a vision that tells him that the Traveler was done running away. It didn't run away during the Collapse. Why would it run away now?
@@thatawesomethings why didn't it move during the first collapse then? why stay right on top of the city, and remain there?
@@CrazyByDefault Why stay on top of what city? The Last City? That wasn't built until well after the Collapse. There was nothing below the Traveler until humanity huddled underneath it. This is chronicled in the 'Constellations' lorebook where the Traveler wishes for 'something to grow' in its shadow.
@GeeBeeOhThree brother, in Witch queen dlc, Savathun wanted to "protect" the traveler inside her throne world, from who do you think that idea come from? The traveler itself wanted to hide there, he was read to abandon us same way he abandoned the eliksni.
BUNGIE!!!
GIVE MITHRAX THE LIGHT, AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!
I can't express how much I appreciate you, Byf. You make the lore so much more digestible for me. And for that, you are a scholar and a gentlemen.
Wonder if Mithrax is able to interpret these memories/visions of the Traveller because of the concentrated Darkness he absorbed from Nezarec's relics back in Plunder, maybe like a side effect?
one of the new weapon tabs from echos act 1 shows missracks having disorintating headaches and other "curse" like symptoms
We've had at least 2 lore tabs that are probably from the witness
I would love to see a video of diving into the mystery of the Euphony lore and maybe try to find the Stone that it talks about
My headcannon has always been that the traveler would bless our allies with the light in order to defend it from its enemies. When Savathun was granted the light, I was so hopeful we would also see Caital and Mithrax be blessed with the light in some form.
Nice, I was catching up on the last couple vids, and right after I finished the one about Echoes, this one dropped. Love it!
Lol that’s a lot happening to still be doing seasonal quest v34
Hold up... is Mithrax basically a data miner - like IRL people who try to go into the game code for secrets?
That would explain the theme of him basically being a prophet telling the future...no?
That's a fun metaphor ahaha
been a big Mithrax stan since in his purple NPC days in base game. so glad he plays such a big part in the story now-a-days, and will in the future. ::3
Hearing more of these traveler perspectives makes me want its perspective of what happened in the Red War. What emotions was it feeling? What were its thoughts on Ghaul or what was happening to the Guardians?
“Eramis, Kys” Mithrax probably
@@THER8ERKING that is honestly a great theory
I really hope Misraaks becomes the first Eliksni guardian! It could open the way to finally having my dream since D1 of playing as an Eliksni character!
The light is in all places, in all things. Safe to say that mithrax would be able to have a connection to the light as we see that light returns to light
Saving the Monster of the Eliksni from the Vex would be a place where Mishraaks and his skills could face death.
I think I remember at some point Variks was considered a possibility for Kell of Kells.
Those feathers are all over the pale heart, not just the cysts. They are in the patrol areas as well. I think there is a triumph to track that says there are over 30 of them.
my 3 top picks for the kell of kell's is either Mithraxx, Eido or Eramis
Did you hear the dialogue in one of micahs ghost missions acknowledging that nezarec might not be dead or killable?
Now that the Traveler is being changed by Darkness, I wonder if whoever takes the title of Kell of Kells might somehow represent both the Dark and the Light. Maybe a co-ruler situation with him and Eramis?
The Khan of Khans is what I've always equated it too.
Mithrax a straight homie want to go invade the vex hive mind, go pirate raiding in space, or even go fight an eldritch horror? Cause he will
Ghost stories lorebook titled: savin. If i remember correctly refers to an fallen that was rezed by a ghost. It possible that this fallen could be a contender for kell of kell.
Edit I'm wrong just re read it
Taniks turns guardian, becomes kell of Kells and teaches us resonance
Not merely risen, but a RISEN SPEAKER? One who CAN speak to and for the Traveler?
I always had the theory/assumption that Misraaks would become a light bearer of some kind, one of if not the first. Bungie has been hinting at more species becoming guardians for a while now and whether they become playable or not the Eliksni would make sense to be the next to have risen.
New nightfall weapon SHADOW PRICE at Zavala has a lore tab about an eliksni guardian...
No, that one is still human, just a friend to eliksni and uses their weapons
It would be so damn cool to have the first Fallen Guardian, I'd love to see it.
Can’t get enough of the beautiful lore of destiny
You could already perceive Mithrax sacrifice when he took on the curse to help cure Osiris, it's just happening at a slower pace
Straight away, the great machine.
Plot twist Taniks becomes a guardian and the Kell of Kells
This makes so much sense now, the curse of nezeracc
misraaks been hitting that Stigma of the Witness a little too much🌿
12:52 That Looks Like a House Light Flag Being Burned.
Moving could also be metaphorical. The traveler may not physically move, but be emotionally moved by the Kell of Kells.
10:59 you forgot Savathun moved the Traveler to her Throneworld
The way Rasputin died, I can’t but wonder if he’ll return one day as a Guardian, and perhaps regain his memories through darkness by visiting somewhere familiar. Such as the Cosmadrone, where the satellite he originated from, still lays. Maybe he will return in time to help us defeat Xivu Arath one day? It’s hard to say, as his story was seeminly quite conclusive. Then again, we could see a storyline in which we may need to rebuild the Warsat Network from the ground up. Recovering the plans, and means to do this, should be more possible with the Neomuni’s aid.
I could’ve sworn that Ido is a dreamer.
I think Nezarec has the potential to be a great “big bad”. Maybe for the next saga. Or a future episode.
In addition to the new Lore that dropped with week 3 of the "season" I wouldn't be so sure if he makes this out alive, yet if he comes back as a guardian, he will undoubtedly be hailed as the Kell of Kells
Also "moved" can mean a lot of things. Not only can it mean what you implied, the physical action, but also the emotional response could be meant, no? The Traveler could be impressed by Misraaks and chooses to ressurect him, therefore having been MOVED to action (or moved by empathy for that matter)
Light bearer Eliskni would be awesome!
We all know the Kell of Kells will be a risen Exo Taniks whose ghost is named Steel Chair
it sounds like Mithrax is suffering with headaches in the most recent lore tab, Bungo better keep those death flags away from crawdaddy!
All we need now are Guardian Eliksni and Cabal
Rasputin’s actions might have caused the traveller to stop leaving, but there was another who’s actions & might arguably caused it to start doing so - and that’s Eramis
Eido is defo one of my Newfoundland absolutely favourite character
Gotta get our boy of those nezarec fumes first
The kell of kells will definitely be Taniks with the steel chair upgrade.
Spider will just purchase the Kell of Kells title from Eververse.
I'd like a story that shows Variiks fighting for the position but Mithrax definitely deserves to actually have the title
The crazy part is that i never realized thats why mithraks was the one reading it
Me personally, i believe it would be interesting if Eido got to be Kell of Kell's.
I do think eramis will be taking the role of Amanda as the ship master
Right off the bat, Wolves in the cold.
1. Mithrax
2. Eido
3. Eramis
In my own interpretation of story writing I have doubts about Eido, as they seem more of a catalyst to the other two.
Y’all remember when we thought we would get cabal with guardian powers at some point
I still wonder bout Variks' place in the Eliksni story. Maybe he's gonna make a return for Kell of Kells plot?
I'd love to see a redemption arc for Eramis, feels like that's what she's being set up for. She went off to try and find Athrys, maybe Athrys became a monster hunter out in space and can guide us in the next episode
We love our destiny lore master
