Stinkin’ Lincoln is an offensive wizard but coaches a soft brand of football. He’s more suited to being an offensive coordinator. He’ll leave USC in the middle of the night to be an OC in the NFL.
That's too bad. USC tried so hard with their $100 million coach and band of NIL mercenaries. Oh, well maybe they will do better playing in the mid-west where the entire conference will be out to do the same to them every week.
USC offense was slow to develop anything all game, and the time they needed to be slow they scored too quickly… left way too much time on the clock in the 4th quarter. Lincoln Riley’s offensive scheme getting out coached by opposing DC’s for the 3rd week in a row. (Yes, including the Arizona game)
Very true, finesse teams like SC tend to depend on a few top receivers and qbs to make flashy plays. When they don't get those big flashy plays they fold to superior team work and strength. Fun fact: Utah beat Stanford back when Stanford was big , good, physical and ranked 5th in the country
@@mcsquared5005 Yep. Even when Utah was still in the WAC, they were big, strong and tough. @@persistentlypathetic6820 That would be a wasted pick in my opinion. He has shown over and over again (in conferences that don’t play defense).. that he is only good against bad teams that don’t play defense. The moment he has to play an even mediocre defense.. he gets shut down completely. There have been several Heisman winning QB’s that were overhyped during their careers until the combine came along and then they were found out.. and more still that somehow faked it through the combine but got exposed once they were in the league and playing. Just call it a hunch based on stats and observations.. but I don’t think Williams will be good NFL QB. He’s predictable, arrogant and a diva.. he’ll fit right in until he isn’t winning.. and that will be sooner than later.
USC seems to play more as individuals than brothers. Caleb sits alone on the bench. They get a big play a couple players congratulate him. Utah gets a big play the team congratulate him. Same with teams like Oregon, and Washington.
Stinkin Lincoln strikes again, his daddy Kyle Wittingham ended his playoff hopes earlier than last year, but good dads come back and teach their kids a listen
Ah'yup! Baylor was simply an off day for him, and literally every good QB has one of those every once in a while (and ESPECIALLY so when they are just starting out as a starter). If we started Barnes vs Oregon State instead of Nate Johnson we likely juuuuuust win that game and are currently undefeated; having Cam Rising & Brant Kuithe or not. (And 100% for SURE guaranteed win if we somehow got Whitt to figure out that Sione Vaki is an untapped thermonuclear fucking WARHEAD for the offense a week earlier than he actually did. 🤷) Hell, even if Whitt had just pulled Nate Johnson out after just the first quarter of his horrifically awful performance instead of waiting until partway into the fourth, we STILL likely would have had a fighter's chance!!!... 🤦😑 ... 🤷
@@monolithtitan I am quite happy for you guys to be outperforming USC given how Lincoln Riley hung you out to dry. Also feels a lot better to cheer for the happiness of Oklahoma residents vs Southern California ones
As great of an offensive coach Lincoln Riley is him defensively will continue to hold him and his teams back. He’s got to get that side of the ball figured out because this is embarrassing
Although Alex Grinch is a pretty bad defensive coach / coordinator (for instance he didn't even adjust for Utah's QB Barnes running the ball even though they've been doing it ALL NIGHT against the SC defense), the main problem really IS Riley. And it has to do with how he runs his up tempo quick strike offense. Even when they succeed, the drive ends in 2 to 3 minutes and doesn't allow the defense to adequately rest. And when the offense doesn't succeed, the defense just has to get out onto the field that much faster! It's just a terrible overall gameplan that leaves the defense exhausted and vulnerable by game's end. USC was very fortunate that they didn't have to play Oregon or Washington last season, or they would have more losses, and Caleb would not have won the Heisman. This season, they will get totally exposed... and it will no doubt get worse as they move to the Big 10 conference from next year.
Il be sitting on in the bench to after a tough lost and your defense couldn’t get a stop and losing back to back to to the same school is very frustrating

@@JRKAAbsolute fucking horseshit 🤷. He can't sustain that level of play throughout an entire Utah game even if he DOES stay healthy! See both this and last year's regular season games. He started hot in this game too, EXACTLY like in the Pac-12 Championship Game, only to hit an absolute fucking WALL when Utah's defense finally woke the fuck up and got it together. And the same exact thing would have happened in last year's chip if he didn't get injured, it just wouldn't have been as extreme as it actually was in reality. The only difference Caleb Williams not getting hurt in the Pac-12 Championship Game makes on its outcome is a closer score between the two teams. (As Alex Grinch's defense would still have been torn to absolute fucking shreds by Cam Rising & Dalton Kincaid REGARDLESS of what happened to Caleb!) Aka, even if this hypothetical make-believe reality, Utah still wins the chip by over a possession (think ≈10 points), although it's nowhere near the absolute utter BEAT DOWN margin that we actually got in real-life. 🤷
Utah is awesome. Fun team to watch! Can’t wait to see this Charmin-soft USC team going to Ann Arbor or Columbus in November looool. A good bet Riley is gonna peace out to the NFL before his 10-ply team gets exposed weekly & his stock as a “QB Whisperer” is understood to be more the result of playing bad defenses. Utah deserves a lot of credit. And their physical brand of play is a nice preview of USC’s future. Imagine if USC didn’t agitate to blow up the PAC12. They could continue playing & beating up on mostly soft, mostly bad defenses in sunny/warm conditions. Instead they lobby to leave & blow-up the conference where they had every advantage to dominate. So they can look forward to this kind of physicality (that they struggle with)…but in much worse weather! Lol.

Couldn't have happened to a better team. Riley is still the BOTW. ;) Good job, Utes!
I have a feeling Utah is going to the B1G in the very near future!
Cornerback #4 got face masked @2:36 on that td run.
Huge missed holding call right at 4:30.
Like so many other things in life, "It sounded like a good idea at time". Had USC kicked both extra points, the game would have gone to OT and who knows what would have happened. Congrats to both teams, I had money on the over 58 1/2.
Qb running like Vince young out there
I don't see how this 🤡 is still the consensus #1 PICK AFTER THESE PAST TWO WEEKS!!! If I had the number 1 pick...I would definitely take PENIX all day,and tell williams to partially own DEEZ NUTZ
Lincoln Riley just brought OU to SC. Lots of wins, but will never have anything to show for it.
Holding by USC at the 1:06 mark.
Maybe the USC band should learn how to play more than just one song
I dont watch College, but why did the clock stop at 5 seconds when he got tackled in bounds?
It was a first down so it stopped to reset chains, then they called a time out.
As a Beaver fan, I use to want USC to do well. They represented the conference and were a good opponent. Now that the left the PAC12 for dead, I hope they suck forever more. The people running their athletic department are greedy. have no sense of tradition or what is really important in sports. Good job Utes!!
Stinkin’ Lincoln is an offensive wizard but coaches a soft brand of football. He’s more suited to being an offensive coordinator. He’ll leave USC in the middle of the night to be an OC in the NFL.
Being a Bruin fan,I say OH WELL
That's too bad.
Not a fan of either team but how was that roughing the passer?
I don't know how you kick a field goal with three minutes left down by 8 though
I hope Barnes does good at Utah State
Not a Utah fan but Barns is a playa!!

USC has a Utah problem. When Stanford was big, good and physical, USC had a Stanford problem. USC just can't handle strong, physical, talented teams.
Well it's a good thing they play in the Pac-12 where they don't have to face teams like that very often.......
Very true, finesse teams like SC tend to depend on a few top receivers and qbs to make flashy plays. When they don't get those big flashy plays they fold to superior team work and strength. Fun fact: Utah beat Stanford back when Stanford was big , good, physical and ranked 5th in the country
@@BetleyIsland36Until next year.. when they move to the B1G 😂😂😂😂😂
@@mcsquared5005 Yep. Even when Utah was still in the WAC, they were big, strong and tough. When they were in the MWC, they were big, strong, and tough, leading to two unbeaten seasons (2004, the 12-0 Alex Smith-led, Urban Meyer-coached team that won the Fiesta Bowl, and 2008, the 13-0 team under Coach Whittingham with Brian Johnson at QB that won the Sugar Bowl.)
And just to think they're coming to the B1G 10, with more.. physical and good teams hmm?
Caleb Williams is not just partially owned but wholly owned by the Utah Utes 😊
Maybe if he works on Brysons pig farm this summer he can earn some of it back? 😂
rent free
And dude wanted part ownership of the NFL team that drafts him in his rookie contract lol.
Caleb left the door open for that one lol
He can't play offense and defense. Real question is where is Alex Grinch going to find his next job?
None of them would admit it, but every Ute starter is SICK of hearing "can they win this week without Cam Rising?" and damn are they sending a message on the field. I'm a Husky fan but I friggin love the Utes🍻
Husky fan here too and I definitely enjoyed watching this one more than our game tonight. Super impressed with the way Barnes finished the job. That was a serious collision at 3:48. If you slow it down the DB actually got the worst of it. What a stud
Hell yeah buddy!!!😊😊
I've been a fan of the Utes for a long time.
One of my favorite Bowl Games ever was when the UTES beat Bama in the Sugar Bowl .
Here in Atlanta the talking heads were saying Bama world destroy the UTES didn't happen 😀
At this point, I wonder if they just sit cam out for the whole season and bring them back next year? I wonder if he would go with that?
@@GR-bn3xjthat’s precisely what’s happening, Kuithe as well. Red shirts for the Big 12 entrance next season.
@@juddh8089 I think that would be very good for Utah. Even though they only have one loss, no one's giving them any respect. I'm not a Utah fan but I think they're a very solid and good team that no one wants to play. If Cam was there this year, they would be undefeated in my opinion and a definite threat for the playoff, and probably the best team in the pac-12. I hate that the pac-12 finally got good in football and then they break up. It's all about Oregon and Washington right now but if Utah wins out, It would be tough to keep them out of the playoffs
Imagine thinking you should have partial ownership in the NFL team that drafts you when you're literally owned by Utah.
💅💅💅💅💅
Whoever drafts him will have to buy out Utah's ownership of Caleb lololololol
@@Jalreal Too bad he'll end up like Manziel but worse. Would have been a well rounded investment by Utah. Should have invested in a nail polish company instead.

He is the most overrated player in college football. I would bet money that he isn’t taken before the 3rd round and is out of the league in 3-5 years tops.
@@darthsilversith667he's definitely going in the first round. Likely #1
He didn’t get up to say good game at the end? At home? Not like fans were storming the field.
Cuz hes not about team
Because it’s just about the image and being a Star not the team or fundamentals or winning
That's the commiefornia lib mindset for you
Theyre in LA... they recruit talented guys who only care about themselves not about their team or winning games. This has always been a problem at USC

Congrats to Bryson Barnes and the Utes. Felt bad for the flack Bryson got earlier in the year.
That kid is a baller.
Barnes balled out
Watch the hit at 3:48 in slow mo. He actually trucked the DB
Hell, even if Whitt had just pulled Nate Johnson out after just the first quarter of his horrifically awful performance instead of waiting until partway into the fourth, we STILL likely would have had a fighter's chance!!!... 🤦😑 ... 🤷
big shot is 0-2 since he opened his mouth about wanting ownership in the NFL
Utah happens to be back to back undisputed PAC-12 champs but get zero love from the media and the conference
Undisputed? They hit into last year's championship game by the tie breaker rule.
Is there anything more glorious in college football than disappointed USC players and fans? Right in my veins, please.
Oklahoma won, Oklahoma state won, and USC lost..😂 today was wonderful.
Disappointed Ohio State and Bama fans.

OU fans rejoice, over and over
@@monolithtitan I am quite happy for you guys to be outperforming USC given how Lincoln Riley hung you out to dry. Also feels a lot better to cheer for the happiness of Oklahoma residents vs Southern California ones
As great of an offensive coach Lincoln Riley is him defensively will continue to hold him and his teams back. He’s got to get that side of the ball figured out because this is embarrassing
I dont think Riley know what a defense is, this is the same guy when Ku played against him, Ku looked like a football team. (in 2021)
Oh no bud, it gets better. Just wait..
Serves him right for going to USC. I hope they choke every year like the dodgers
That side of the ball will never be figured out because the offense he runs doesn't allow for that to happen
Number 8 for Utah on special teams was flying down the field to keep that return out of the endzone. Great hussle!
Just for the defense to let them score on the next play. Caleb should’ve slid before going into the end zone.
also good hustle..
That's Cole Bishop.
He's a baller 💪
The look on Caleb and teammates face after the kick tho😂😂😂 priceless
Williams sitting on the bench instead of shaking hands, tells you all you need to know.
You hating on a young man tells me all I need to know.

To his credit he got injured in their second meeting last year. Before his injury he was dominating them.

@@JRKAwould’ve lost anyway. USC had a double digit lead with like 5 minutes remaining against Tulane, and still lost.
(As Alex Grinch's defense would still have been torn to absolute fucking shreds by Cam Rising & Dalton Kincaid REGARDLESS of what happened to Caleb!)
Aka, even if this hypothetical make-believe reality, Utah still wins the chip by over a possession (think ≈10 points), although it's nowhere near the absolute utter BEAT DOWN margin that we actually got in real-life. 🤷
