This is inspired, Jenn! I love the staging props you created. The foam turned out to be the best thing ever! You created authentic roots and vines. Love the eye dropper trick. Question: is that bottom drawer cedar lined? I hope, now that you have helped and painted it, the chest’s spirit is feeling loved and it won’t be leaving you any more messages because that would be spooky! Kudos for the film and sound editing and for the music selection. A special nod to the Beetlejuice-inspired nail art! Absolutely excellent! Every bit of all of it! Chef’s kiss!🌸
It surprised me just how great that spray foam worked. I've used it for it's true purpose before but I wasn't sure if it would work for this. Sooo much happier than if I did sheet foam! This project (the piece AND the video) was so dang fun I'm actually sad it's over 😆 But it's made me excited to up my game even more on future projects. You're totally the best, Deborah! Fabulous!!!!! Foam was a good solution. Air dry clay would be $$$ and take forever..
I considered doing something with joint compound, clay, and even that other type of foam. Thanks! Sooooo glad I went this route. And it's really lightweight too so it won't wear on the piece over time.

The fourth store that doesn’t have the mark looks like it’s made out of cedar I wonder if the previous owner replaced it except for the front because they had some warm clothing. Just a thought
You're right, it's definitely cedar. Back in the day it was common to find a tall boy with a bottom drawer cedar lined to protect against moths and other bugs getting into wool clothing. I'm still not convinced of how this was built or who built it. Wish Cavalier wasn't out of business!
