I have a computer science exam that's coming up next few days and I have put it off to last minute revision which was the worst decision I have ever made. Watching before I revise, it made me slowly start to break down. I may be in a bad position but I know that my exam will pass through. Good luck to everyone that's going through the same boat as me.
I have my maths paper 1 tomorrow and I did a practice exam today and got a 6 which really demotivated me but thank you so much for your video, I will try my best 🥰
And now I'm crying because in schools these days, nobody stops to tell you well done before an exam, nobody stops to care about how you are feeling because everything is so clinical and grades driven. Thanks for being so amazing Jade! And well done to you for taking the weight of everyones stress on your shoulders without a complaint because you really do care about us
james willypiss actually I’m doing A Levels, which is besides the point. The point is that, ‘teachers want you to do well’, I completely agree with that, but I do feel like that mantra can be taken to the extreme maybe to the detriment of student mental health. Stress is normal, it can even be beneficial to your success, but they teachers need to be watching out for the students who are not at a healthy stress level, who are exhibiting signs of non-ideal mental health. While exam stress is not a cause on its own of mental health issues, it can be a contributing factor. Thus, teachers should be better equipped with training to spot these issues to improve the lives of students within their school, through this stressful period, but also throughout the entire school year.

Leia Patel I’ve done a lot of blurting! Positives of being an afternoon exam: you can revise all day. Negatives: you have to wait anxiously all day 😂😂😂
Honestly, can confirm the "meant to get the grade you get" mentality. I did my A Levels this time last year and ALL my math exams went worse than expected (I just had a mental THING that no matter how many hours I studied, in the exams I forgot it all). I got my results- A* A* E.... yes...I got an E. I couldn't attend the university that I wanted to, but in clearing I found a course that I liked the look of. I had applied for zoology and marine biology courses in the city my family lives in/commutable from the city, so as I could live at home, but no uni there, not even the really shit ones would take me. The place I ended up is a research laboratory on the coast, not within commuting range from home- It is not a renowned uni, and the "rankings" are low because of its small size, however, I couldn't be more greatful for that E grade. I have been able to take opportunities not possible to those in the city, I am lectured by actual researchers in a class of less than 30 students (so you can actually chat to the lecturers) and I am able to be at the top of my class, getting all firsts without the huge effort needed in other unis, so I can do career development things on the side. I completely see the value of a typical uni education, but for me, I couldn't have hoped for something better. Our university is literally ON the beach, and we go snorkelling at lunchtime- What more could you want!
Hey! I am only doing gcses rn but i also want to study marine biology when i go to uni :) how are you liking the course? Also, would you mind sharing what uni you're at?
@@iloveyoutaha8679 Hey- I am at the Scottish Association for Marine Science. I am just finishing my first year and it is AMAZING! There are currently 3 course paths- Marine Science, Marine Science with Physical Oceanography and Robotics and Marine Science with Arctic studies (with a semester abroad in Svalbard in the arctic). It is a really good, practical course (the lab literally looks over the sea). The benefit of this course is that you can specialise in any area you want (marine biology, marine biogeochemistry, marine microbiology, marine geology, marine robotics, physical oceanography, chemical oceanography and so on), but you get a basic education in all of these, which is really beneficial, as to be a great marine biologist, you need to understand the water and habitats that the organisms live in. It has been super practical so far- we have done coastal zonation surveys, trawls, CTD samples, plankton sampling and much more. The other benefit is that you are being taught by actual researchers, you can get involved in their research and get experience throughout your degree super easily. Because everyone in the whole university are marine scientists, they really know their stuff and are amazing at helping you get opportunities. A month ago I got to go on a boat for 4 days surveying whales and dolphins! The day I came back we had a day on the university boat! If you have any more questions I would love to help!

My A-Level French Speaking Exam went so well today...it was so surreal, especially after going through two years of self doubt and constantly comparing myself to my peers, and then realising that the reason my teachers doubt me is probably because I doubt myself too. Your mindset is so so SO important, so do whatever you can to positively change it. At first it might seem like you’re lying to yourself, but just keep telling yourself “I’ve got this, I can do this!” until you believe. Because the reality is, you really have got this. Nothing and no one can hold you back except yourself. With that being said, give it you best shot! 🗣CLASS/COHORT OF 2019, LET’S MAKE OURSELVES PROUD! WE CAN DO THIS! BEST OF LUCK GUYS💖
Hey guys remember, non of us are revising as much as you think we are. The grade boundaries depend on how we all do, and we're all just as lazy as you are! 😂
@@mariamst2096 what I meant by the comment is that people shouldn't stress too much if they feel like they aren't revising enough because we are in the exact same position, also not revising enough
@@mariamst2096 not at all, I suffer from dyslexia, anxiety, OCD, depression, autism. Basically a lot of things that stop executive function and pretty much cut off all motivation to do anything. I revised probably like an hour maximum for each subject, for some I didn't revise at all. A year ago, when I wrote that comment, I hadn't been diagnosed with any of it yet so I just thought I was lazy. Unfortunately it was much bigger than I realized and I have to come to accept that I just don't function like neuro typicals and it's not my fault that I don't have the motivation

I keep revisiting this every time I have an examination coming up, no matter how minor it is. It always releases me from stress and gives me the courage to think positive about myself and the outcome of the exam. Indeed, let's try my best! Whatever happens, happens. What matters is that I try my best :)
I found your channel at the perfect time. I have 5 upcoming final exams, all orals. After that I’m done with high school. The fact that I can say “I’m graduating” makes so emotional because a part of me was scared I wouldn’t make it. Tomorrow is the day before my exam and I will without a doubt take some time off to lay down and visualize the best outcome of my exam! Wish me luck ☺️🫂
The only reason I'm worried is because if I fail Maths, it'll make me feel like a failure. The things I've been told in School led to me feeling like I have to pass or I will ruin my life and be a failure of a person forever.
My exam is in two hours and this has been so unbelievably helpful. Thank you so much Jade, you're literally one of the best things that has ever happened to UA-cam ❤💙💜❤ Edit : I took my English Literature exam and it went so so much better than expected. itzskyexx thank u x. I’ve been seeing a child support counsellor at school to talk to and give me guidance. But thank u and good luck to you if you have exams too x
Just had my last exam, a few days before my BA thesis defence. It didn't go as well as I thought it would (but also not incredibly terrible, I believe). Just got back my thesis feedback from the referee, and wanted to immediatly start crying, but this video gives me some hope. the referee's feedback may have been overwhelming, but it is still good in the sence that she asked a bunch of questions - which i now have the chane to answer through my oral defence. good luck to everyone else as well. may the omens be ever in our favour. we are strong. we can do this. and afterwards we'll have something nice. im going to get a slushie, for example :D

When you got to the point of saying "well done", I couldn't help but tear up a little bit. It is so hard to, as you said, push yourself than to give yourself credit. But in the end, I had nothing but a smile on my face. Thank you so much for this lovely video. ❤
I'm currently having an anxiety attack and honestly it helps when to know that I'm not alone. I've taken statistics multiple times and I've been doing alot of work into it tbh and I'm just nervous I might not be able to pass it 🙃 😅
Oh god I hope you’re doing ok now!
How are you finding the exams x
English Literature today was 🤌🏼🤌🏼 chefs kiss 💋
I just realised not all of Jade’s audience is from the UK so you may not be doing GCSEs if that’s the case then just ignore me :)
I love how you bought out the whole idea of "Do your best". It's important to know you did your best at that moment. With whatever you had and whatever you prepared. ❤❤the video.
you are literally one of the kindest people with one of the biggest hearts that i've ever seen. thank you _so_ much for everything, you're so precious 💓☄️
Good luck to everyone doing GCSEs! I'm so struggling as replase of ME/CFS has left me bedbound, so I have to do mine at home :/
Livvy Greg goood luck gorgous u will smash them x
fellow cfs sufferer here, doing IB exams... much love xx
Literally never see anything from anyone with chronic fatigue doing a levels!! I’m in the same position, got my first a level in 10 days and my immune system is very weak from CFS and I’ve come down really ill this week from trying to push myself too hard and now I’m having to spend days I need for cramming in bed 😩🙈
What extra support/ help are you’re school allowing you with your exams? Are you being allowed to do them at home? The only thing mine is doing is letting me sit at the back of the exam hall
Good luck! x
I'm so happy that UA-cam recommended this to me! It's like it's meant to come to me! Thank you so much Jade, my finals are in 5 days from now and they are the last finals I'll have at my secondary school and they are so important that will change my life and I was really stressed but when I saw the video it's like you're talking to me and it made me feel so much better
me too
Literally cried whilst watching this. Thank you, Jade ❤️
Awwww this is so sweet, thank u. My exams start tomorrow and I’m so stressed, ahhhh x
all the best ❤️☹️
I just want to say two things:
1- You look BEAUTIFUL with your hair straight 😍
2-THANK YOU you really appeared in the EXACT RIGHT MOMENT i NEEDED this kind os support so THANK YOU ❤🌸
Ahhhhh... Even though I'm not going through this process.... Im going through exams too so good luck to everyone! And also jade u look stunning in this vid! GOOD LUCK 🤞 for everyone :)
Ahhhhhhh u hearted my comment! OMG this is like a dream come true. Thanks jade! Ur my biggest inspiration 🤗
Same good luck g e o r g i a t a n
Those words are priceless!❤
At this point I dont even know how many times I have already watched this video....
Omg thank you much for this!! I was panicking for my AS exams on tuesday and this has calmed me down a lot 💙
ChibiSunset good luck! I also have AS exams soon :)
Hey guys remember, non of us are revising as much as you think we are. The grade boundaries depend on how we all do, and we're all just as lazy as you are! 😂
Yeahh thats the point
@@mariamst2096 idk what you mean by that but I commented this a year ago so it's irrelevant as shit how
@@mariamst2096 what I meant by the comment is that people shouldn't stress too much if they feel like they aren't revising enough because we are in the exact same position, also not revising enough
@@notaseat5934 and I got wut u meant I visualize you as the top student in my class saying that
@@mariamst2096 not at all, I suffer from dyslexia, anxiety, OCD, depression, autism. Unfortunately it was much bigger than I realized and I have to come to accept that I just don't function like neuro typicals and it's not my fault that I don't have the motivation
biology paper 1 exam tomorrow. LETS GET IT! we all are gon' finesse this exam ♥♥♥
oh sorry guys i mean its on TUESDAY LOL see last minute revision had made me forget what day the actual exam is ! I have officially lost the plot
You made me panic when I read your comment

This made my cry sm, ive worked so damn hard this year and still feel like its not good enough.
I feel you. At the end of the day, all you can do is try your best 🤷♀️🌟✨ sending you all the love and luck!! x
Thank you so much Jade! I really needed this bcs I’ve always been compared with others and it has really demotivated me so much during this period of exams. Keep on posting videos I’m a fan of you🙌🏽👍🏽💪🏽
your hair is stunning! i love your straight and natural curly hair, i don’t know how you suit them both so much! but thank you, i really needed to see this :,)

I'm a French student and I have my exams on wednesday. I feel like I didn't work at all for many reasons, I've just done like not even a half of the things that I had to do/learn, I am just paralyzed by the thought of it, and watching this helped me so much. Thank you. ❤
Biology P1 today. I’m going to do great! So are all of you! ❤️ A positive mind during these stressful weeks are going to be worth it!! ❤️
Yeah true
How was the paper for you?
Khadijah Djemaa it actually was pretty good. Not the best biology paper but it was pretty good. Yours?
This video made me cried. I've been struggling this semester with my finals. I feel overwhelmed because of all of the assignments I have due, but this video really helped. I don't give myself enough credit for what I do: I'm a full time university freshman and a full time employee, I pay for my own rent and my own college, I'm relying on grants and loans. I'm struggling, but somehow getting through. Thank you for this video.
2 years later and i still come back to this before any major exam. My first GCE A Level written paper is tomorrow, and i’m back here to seek comfort and affirmation. thank you jade ❤️
Yesterday I studied for 6 hours 😭 I still am anxious I feel like I didn't study enough
Thank you so much Jade! I don't think I could ever thank you enough for all the motivation, tips and help you've given me over these years leading up to exams! You put so much effort in and have always been there to exactly at the right moment with the perfect video (including right now!). I'll be thinking of you these next few weeks of exams!! Xxxxx
I’ve just finished my exams and really wish that I had this before I went in, it’s incredible how you always know how to motivate us and I am so thankful!!
At 2:09 thx so much!!
Wishing everyone the best in their exams💗
DarkShadow 1613 I did maths, English, science, geography, history and rf, all of which was one hour!😫
So glad it’s over tho 😂
Thanks for the motivation and advice it really makes me smile and feel quite calm, even if I am not going through main exams this year. I believe it applies to anything you are struggling with or stressed about.
In the middle of A-Level exams right now, thankyou for this.
GoodLuck! 💜
@@sam76279 Thanks!
Really needed this! On study leave atm for year 12 exams and I still don’t think I quite realise that I need these to go well for my predicted grades
She looks so pretty omg❤️🥰
As always💕.
My exams are after 3 days im scared :(
I'm watching this to prepare myself to prepare for the hell that is the HSC, any other Australian student freaking out?
I don’t have exams yet, but tomorrow I have this VERY important test. If I don’t do well I will fail my class and I’m already failling a class which is not good. I’ll update tomorrow and ty for making this
so scared for english literature😱
Your hair is gorgeous. Thank you for the motivation boost during my study session. Thank you! 🌸🥰
thank you a million. this has gotten me through my exams, stress, friendship and family issues. just everything was cascading down at me but i just watched your video and it filled me with motivation and a somewhat sense of (false lmao jk) hope thanks again needed this xxxx♥☻♥♥♥
I stayed up 4 nights to prepare for it but then i ended up loosing Mark's. Thank you for this..
thanks, mom
i needed this
I am watching it again as always before an exam tomorrow I have a biology test and I worked so hard for it. It’s only a small test, but it means a lot to me :)
Thanks for the advice Jade! Only in year nine at the moment but im revising already to make life easier haha. Hair looks lovely by the way☺️❤️☺️
karen YES THATS A SMART MOVE !
Sammeeeeeeee!!!!!! In year 9 right now and I’ve already done like half of the biology spec 😂😂
I have my final exam on the 20th for uni and it determines whether I graduate or not and I’m quaking. Nice to see one of Jade’s videos to help motivate and inspire me though 🙌🏻
Daniel Loughins good luck 💗
Good luck :))
Good luck 💛
I keep revisiting this every time I have an examination coming up, no matter how minor it is. It always releases me from stress and gives me the courage to think positive about myself and the outcome of the exam. Indeed, let's try my best! Whatever happens, happens. What matters is that I try my best :)
I am so afraid for my exams, I do not want to fail. But I am going to try my best! It is all going to be okay, I can handle it.
Wish me luck ☺️🫂
she is pretty !! thanks for the advice tho i have a exam tomorrow and i m watching your videos
The only reason I'm worried is because if I fail Maths, it'll make me feel like a failure. The things I've been told in School led to me feeling like I have to pass or I will ruin my life and be a failure of a person forever.
My exam is in two hours and this has been so unbelievably helpful. Thank you so much Jade, you're literally one of the best things that has ever happened to UA-cam ❤💙💜❤
Edit : I took my English Literature exam and it went so so much better than expected. I watched this video again ten minutes before I went in and it literally calmed me down so much. Thank you so much again 💙
Congrats!!!
Ik this is shocking but I would contemplate self harm this year bc I found it so stressful and I had a fear of failure (and disappointing my family) but now I’m going to try my best in these exams. My first is RS tomorrow
Thanks for this Jade! x
I hope you feel better x
itzskyexx thank u x. I’ve been seeing a child support counsellor at school to talk to and give me guidance. It’s just that my stress and anxiety takes control and sometimes the only option is self harm. Like I’ve had panic attack’s over exam stress but I’m getting there slowly. But thank u and good luck to you if you have exams too x
Mehdi I wish you the best, Exams mean a lot but they shouldn’t be allowed to stress us this much. You’ve got this!
Roland Kgm tysmmm x Ik my anxiety just takes control and makes me over think

I didnt realise how much i needed this, i also didnt realise how much of an impact exams would have on my mental health but thanks for this, you helped me alot :)

Such an inspiration. You make me feel confident for all my future exams, especially with a lot of teens going through dark times, we will get through this and do the best :)
Oliver Belemet so true I just feel so pressured why do we have to let these grades determine our intelligence and worth I’m totally against that
