If I was riding Mountains, tight woods, or rocky terrain.
Sherco
* In tight single track, this bike turns directions as good as any 4 stroke I’ve ever been on. Super quick and nimble feeling. Feels almost too light in some cases.
* Forks are softer and better suited to absorb the rocky stuff and slower speeds
* Motor has a gentle nature about it that helps you to maintain traction when traction comes at a premium. Doesn’t blow you away, but does move you forward.
* Friendly, forgiving disposition.
I was riding Desert, more open woods, or open terrain.
Yamaha
* Stable and balanced Chassis - loves to go fast! Feels as planted as any bike I’ve ridden. Eats whoops for lunch. Jumps and drops are incredible
* Forks are MONEY in 2-4th gear. I love them.
* Motor is more snappy than the Sherco 300. It brings the bike to attention and freaking rips! Makes me giggle all the time.
* Gives me confidence to go faster, jump further, ride harder.
* Ready to be pushed hard and rewards you when you do.

You should test the WR250F.
Great review, would like to see Sherco 300 2T vs KTM 300 EXW back to back
Great video! I'm considering one of these bikes for woods riding in Texas & OK. I haven't been on either machine so this video was very informative. Keep up the good work.
excellent review it was making me excited almost as much as Kyle 👍🇬🇧
Great idea on these segments. You said all the reasons I chose Sherco for a 2 Stroke woods, single track replacement. For open desert or faster trails, Yamaha or even the Beta 390/430 is my choice.
Yewwwww, love ya videos mate!!
This series is a great idea!
great review, had a sherco 300 4t loved , just got a 2021 300 sherco se racing and its amazing, weiting for your review, cheers from isreal
Interesting video & perspectives 😎😉
Kyle, I would live to see a review of either the YZ450FX or the WR450F. Watching the YZ250FX videos makes me want one bad, but would love to have the bigger bore to get some of the bottom end back that I think you lose with the smaller 250 four strokes. Hope some day you can make it happen! Love the channel and have been watching for years now. Keep up the great work.
I would love to see the 300 vs the 350 four bangers!
YZ250FX - with the power tune app you can adjust for throttle response to soften out the mapping a bit for slower speed traction flowy tighter trails. But I defn like the kyb probably on either bike more than the WP.
Nice content!
This is great stuff.
.... this "would you rather" idea has opened my eyes to how many bikes and versions of bikes there are...
Sherco 300sef hands down. Love mine 👌
nice information 👍
My man, you've got 23k views and only 650 likes! Come on people give this guy a like when you watch the video!
Nice comparison Kyle these are the 2 bikes I was considering for my next purchase. Your video's helped with this. I own a 2000 KX250 set up for scrambles racing and wanted a new ride (will keep the KX) for me the Yamaha is the one. I go to the mx track with my boy's and I love that the FX will do that very well also. Overall it's a no brainer for me. LOL
And Yz450fx vs Yz250fx 🤙thanks mate!
Great video and comparison.
How about would you rather: KTM 300 XC or 300 XC-W?
I'll take the Sherco!
Kyle...I think its time you hop on another 450, and an off road 450 (KTM XC/XC-W, Yamaha FX, Honda RX, etc.)...you've improved as a rider so much that it will be a different experience for you from that last motocross 450 you owned.
Plus, with the push button map changes (like on the YZ FX) you can make the power feel however you want and take out that initial hit that is so hard off road.
Would love to see more reviews of Husqvarna bikes.
Makes sense. Yamaha is basically an MX bike with wider gears and softer suspension. Sherco is a true enduro bike.
Nice video mate! Yz450fx vs sherco 300 2t some mix 4 and 2t 🤙
I guess it would vary with different riders on what bike to pick Yamaha YZ 250 FX would be my pick because of the way I ride and it’s more reliable
Hi Kyle ! Great video as always! It would be nice if you give an overall winner at some point. Have a nice day :)
Would love to see a Beta 200 RR vs the KTM / Husky 350 4 stroke. Should be a fairly even match up.
Great video. Ready for the give away this year aherco ok
I think you need to take it a step further if you're going to make this a regular thing; Pick one! They each had their strength, but which one survives the other one's environment the best becomes the winner. We all ride both mtn and desert ( at least us west coasters), and often have to do it with one bike.
Love the vids. Why is skin orange color now?
Most of us don't have two plus bikes so I was hoping it would have been "would you rather" have which bike overall.
I would to see you do a would you rather KTM 500xcf-w vs KTM 300xc-w.
Kyle what is the best do it all bike... Decent at enduro, desert and a bit of mx?
I can’t find ANYTHING on the 2021 SHERCO 250 4T. If you could get your hands on one of those it would be awesome
You should compare a kdx200/220 to one of the new ktm 2-strokes just to show how the tech has changed . That would make a pretty cool vid
I have a 1997 KDX 220 and my dad has a Husqvarna 2020 te300i
1st the Husqvarna is super smooth just doesn't even compare I thought my bike was fine until I rode the 300
2nd the KDX 220 has very little top-end power (it falls flat until you put on an FMF desert pipe and lectron carb) it has plenty of torque down low but the 300 can pull pretty hard consistently through the entire RPMs which is more uncommon in any 2 stroke
3rd price my kdx with a top, Plastics lectron, pipe, handlebars, bar risers, footpegs, clutch, Hydraulic clutch and more im only in $5,200.
My father payed 11,900 plus out the door fees and still has managed to throw some few extra parts at it he is maybe.... 14,000 into it. so my opinion
JUST RIDE (a 2 stroke) 😁
Thats pretty cool! Im always wondering how old purpose built trail bikes stack up against modern bikes
KDX never was that kind of competition bike, than the EXC/WX KTM's. Since the late '80s those EXC/WX were more SX's. Like your idea! Though, a twenty year old EXC300 will do the job "would you rather". What you think?
"Would you rather" by a Beta Xtrainer or KDX would be nice!
I would take the 300 due to what I want to do riding as making my own enduro x course
I emailed about this a few weeks ago and still like to see the old KTM 300 next to a new KTM 300. Like 2012 vs 2020?
so in saying that where would you put them in with the KTMs ?cheers Steve /Australia
Super cool topic 🤟🏼 Beta 200 rr or Ktm 150 xcw
Where was that grassy area you were riding at at the end of the video?
Or a TE150I, I know you had the 150 XC-W, but it wasn't oil injected.
Sherco SE250 2 stroke vs both bikes in this video. Or SE250 vs SE300. It seems a lot of guys in Australia prefer the 250 to the 300. Thanks
What about Beta rr 350 vs sherco sef 300 🤔
Hello... If you could only have one of the two, which one would you rather have?
2:11 so very good
Sherco absolutely
Would you rather - ride a well sorted older bike that you've got fully dialed in or something brand new and unchanged.
Good question
My friends buy new bikes often(beta 250rr,yz250,husqvarna te300,350 exc)and often we swap rides and everything they comment on how muck they enjoy riding my 07 ktm 450 exc and often stay on my old bike all the way bay to the meeting point!
I like riding the different bikes but am yet to be convinced to buy something else.(The 350 exc is the main condideration)
I would probably take the Yamaha just because there’s a dealer in my town but What about a test between Yamaha and the Honda crf250rx ?
Ditto! I got to ride a 2021 250RX. It has 3 maps programed. Pretty much a do all bike. The race map for my taste is way to snappy, good balance and plenty of power. I like red too, but own 2 yamahas. Need to try the 250FX and 250x!
YZ250X is awesome bike!!!
I own a crf250rx and I think it is a great bike, I like it more than the Yamaha, but to me the only downfall of the Honda is the 5 speed transmission
I wish there was more after market parts available for some of these other European brands like Sherco, Beta, GasGas. There is very limited dealer network where I live, even RMMC is very limited in the parts that you can get from them. Until this changes I'll be reluctant to try out a Sherco Beta or GasGas.
Local dealer doesn't bother me, order online and I can wait 24-48hrs for delivery. Local ktm dealer was just over an hour away and I still prefered courier delivery than spending 2hr30min on a round trip and paying for fuel, factoring in my time & fuel it works out cheaper.
True...I have a 2018 gas gas xc250 and its awesome...but aftermarket parts are a harder search I've noticed. Hopefully with KTM ownership they'll get stocked
How often should you replace the top end on a 2 stroke
2021 CRF250RX vs YZ250X. The more affordable bikes. We already know you didn’t care for the YZ250FX
How does the wr compare to the yz?
In my country sherco is plated and yz is not. Only the wr is plated. I believe that the sherco would be better choice over a wr...
Where would 20/21 350xcf/350fx land here?! I'm thinking on top.
Simple answer,Yamaha is a race oriented machine,Sherco is more trail.
Jimmy Younger thx for letting me know before watching the whole. 👍🏽
Definitely Yamaha all the way
How about trying out the new Honda 250RX
2 stroke vs 4 stroke? Which would you rather?
Would you rather have a crf250f or klx300r
sherco looks good, it would boil down to price for me
Sherco 300 SEF
Yamaha all day. Great dual purpose bike.
which is better for a new rider...Sherco?
Bit of a cop out if you pick one for every terrain. Most of us can only afford one, so I'd rather you pick one, warts an 'all.
You can’t compare these bikes because there made for different types of riding . What was the point .
hi Kyle, try the Rieju 300 its the old gas gas or try the sherco 300 2t ;) this are the bikes without ktm blod
And TM!
What’s your favorite of all time?
Yamaha does actually work 300 hours without problems.... how about Sherco.... i have already seen here in sweden shercos that only gets 90 - 110 hours then its time to.... So Yamaha and Honda is better???!
I’m looking at a 2 smoker KTM 250xc vs YZ250X to compliment my 4 thumper.
Based on the type of riding that I do the Sherco would probably fit me better.
Sherco any day
For what I’m doing....Sherco.... I’m a 2 stroke person tho.
Kyle would you rather the yz250x or the yz250fx??? I am also curious as to how the wr450f performs if anyone rides one. I currently ride 2020 yz250x and completely love it in these tight Mississippi and Alabama woods.
I have a 2021 wr250f and it blows me away when I get going faster. You can make the engine feel tame with the tuning app or you can make it feel like a 250mx bike. The kyb suspension is the best I’ve ever felt.
In Hard Enduro we can see HUSQVARNA, KTM, SHERCO, BETA but NO - YAMAHA // SUZUKI why so?
Husqvarna TE 150i vs. Sherco SEF 300 Factory would be interesting.
(Beta RR 200 vs Sherco SEF 300 Factory.)
MotoMatt Sure... 😂
150 twostroke against 300 fourstroke is exactly one class!
MotoMatt We are talking about enduros. Thats‘s a different story!
So please get knowledge first, and then comment!!!
Alpine star helmet versus Arai
Have you ridden a WR250F in the conditions you like the Sherco?
I have, it is fantastic. You can tune the engine down with the app to feel great in tight single track.
Sherco 300f is under powered for a 300 in my opinion. You can definitely ride it a lot harder than for longer to the yami
Stew said he’ll take a Yamaha
if the fork of 250fx is hard just like y250x’s,thank you.
Honda CRF250RX?
With my enduro needs filled at the moment, I feel the need for speed. 250fx.
Most people would laugh at you talking speed and a 250 but those are also the guys saying to short shift more🤣🤣
Get Outdoors - that’s because most people don’t know what they are talking about and think a 450 is the ultimate bike.
gpaull2 exactly!
@@Lostonabike 2 kdx'es made the TKO main event. Ashburn finished 11th OA.People often dismiss those as well.
350 then!
YZ250fx
Test a ktm 125xc and a yz125x
Wr just needs some uncorking and I think it would be very lively
James Clark - an uncorked WR is pretty much a YZfx
No need to buy or uncork a WR bc Yamaha now makes X model. If you want or need more power just buy the "F" model. Want more snap just change the gearing. Up 2 rear down 1 front feels like adding 5 more hp. That's what I always do first b4 paying 500 for full exhaust an only gaining 3hp. 50 bucks vs 500 bucks= no brainer.
Anyone like the new 2020 Klx300r?
Ktm 300xc 2017 carb!
Beta 200 250 300rr models
How about the new 2021 CRF450R?!?
David Tyler it’s not euro, so it isn’t a priority for this channel. Also it’s not a 2t. If you haven’t noticed, the bias for this channel goes as follows, Euro > Japanese, 2T > 4T, if 4T 250 > 450. As a crf450r owner, I’m pretty much the enemy according to this channels standards, but for some reason I keep watching some of the content. I’m sure if these guys got the 2021 for review, they would be the first ones to say it wasn’t a great bike 😉
@@KosmicHRTRacingTeam probably because 90% of his riding is tight single track which mx 450's suck at compared to euro bikes or 2t's. I have a crf450r for my wide open riding aswell but once it starts getting close it's a pig compared to a 300 2t
Thorn Carnegie ya, I get it. It looks like he is in Utah, lots of tight single track (which can be super fun) the light wt 2t with decent torque (300cc especially) seem to be ideal in these situations. The interesting thing is, I’ve considered getting a Rekluse for my CRF. I still ride track and trails so I like the 450, and I have seen some guys with Rekluse that seem to make it very good in both worlds. Mine is older, no e start, so with Rekluse you can lug it super slow when needed and not worry about stalling and modulating the clutch like crazy. I guess in an ideal world I would probably have my crf450r for track and a 300cc 2t for trails and maybe a 350 4t for dual sport/street legal.
@@KosmicHRTRacingTeam your 100% right mate having a rekluse on a 450 is heaps better got one on mine haha. It's more the overheating that plagues crf450's in single trail and the gearing but I also believe Kyle needs to go back and try a 450 for wide open riding now as before he didn't have the skills nor the fitness to handle one. After trying a new yz450fx I reckon he'd throw the yz250fx in the bin haha
Yeah I’ve got the Honda 450L it’s a weapon of a bike pretty much go Bush and ride single rocky hill every weekend and it’s an amazing bike everyone seems to hate it though but they need to ride it before they speak
Please get a crf250rx
Sherco
Definitely the Yamaha, I don't like European bikes. I trust Japanese engines more, and that even extends to my car and truck.
Ohh I apsolutly understand.... But ktm are quite reliable
Well when it comes to offroad riding you're definitely missing out.
Sherco wirein
Why do you never review the wr 250
It's a slower, heavier , softer fx... I am sure it would work better than the fx in nasty eastcoast trails at times .
It's similar to the fx more or less man, same engine, just remove the restrictions and tune it as you like
The WR is a hog and anyone who rides WR’s can’t be taken seriously, that’s why
@@MXJEFF94 harsh....lol not talking about the R dualsport model...lol
I'd go with the Yamaha. I'd love to see you do a Would You Rather with the Suzuki RMX450Z.
He would rather NOT.. do a video with that stinkbug of a bike! 😂😂😂😂 Just fooling around haha...sorry lol I just couldn't help myself...
I would probably pick the yamaha yz250❤ im a yamaha boy❤
A boy that uses love heart symbols. Hmm
@@joshsmith9058 sorry if a heart emoji symbolises anything to you but for me, heart emoji is just for love and i love motorcycles!
I want a comparison between the 250x and yz450fx
Wesley Bickel - if you have to ask you should be on the 250fx
@@gpaull2 I currently ride hard enduro on a wr 450. Getting older and am going to switch to a lighter bike. Question is, do I stick with e start and hill climb power and engine braking of 450, or go even lighter and change style of riding by going back to 2 stroke after 20 years.
Wesley Bickel - I read that wrong and didn’t realize you meant the 2 stroke. Try a counterbalanced 250/300 if you get the chance. It’s a game changer at our age...electric start, hill climb power, less vibes than a four stroke, lighter, less tiring and lugs down low even better than a four stroke. They are nothing like the 2 strokes of 20 years ago. It’s the best of everything except that I enjoy engine breaking too, but you’ll quickly adjust. Friend at work tried mine after being off of a bike for 20 years and was blown away.
I would rather you give some more BIKES AWAY!!!!
Fifth gear? In a dirt road?
Makes feel bad as I can only do third gear in most dirt roads. Yes I am a noobie with only 25 hours under my belt.
Lol wide open on the throttle ul get there my man 💯💯💯🔥🔥💨💨
@WeeStrom CO Guy well said my guy
