thank you so much that means the world to hear. I know I paused a lot, but I just had so much to say and I need to learn to let a little more play outs and then address multiple points at a time rather than stopping every five seconds to address each point. But I seriously appreciate your support and your comment. Much love to you wax on and wax off.
I couldn’t agree more. This was a real piece of work that the narrator put together. I don’t understand how people were so adamant that this was convincing. Thank you for your comment and support. Much love and God bless. ❤️⚡️✨🙏✨⚡️❤️
Naw. Better theory is In ‘84 the true OG bullies were Sensai and Dutch if you really watched the original film. Johnny and Daniel were not bullies but Johnny used karate violently which made him a bad guy. Dutch was a real bully towards LaRusso through the whole film. Daniel was not a bully but a trouble maker in that Halloween revenge scheme.
I'd call Johnny a bully, but you're right that Kreese was the real bully, as was Dutch. I was reacting to a popular theory that apparently had been circulating for years. As for the Halloween incident, I don't think spraying water on someone is that bad. Especially in comparison to beating the crap out of someone else. I do think the film portrays Johnny as the main bully for Daniel because he was jealous of their relationship and prideful in his ability to use martial arts and being the champion going into the tournament. I completely agree the real bully and true villain of the film was John Kreese though. Thanks for the comment.
Yes it’s an older discussion theory but I never saw Johnny as a true bully in the sense of the word, since he really turns “baby face” good guy during the ending fight scenes at the tournament (against Sensai)for not agreeing to sweep the leg move. Although he did it, which takes us to the classic Intro of the sequel Scene after the tournament is over. In the ‘86 sequel intro Johnny has clearly turned on his bully ways against Sensai - (whilst the entire Kobra Kai Crew is present in the intro, including Dutch) who being the real bully just turns his back on the entire incident with Sensai and Johnny not choosing sides in the sequels Intro which is a real Bully move on his part to not get involved in there scuffle. Johnny really turns into a good guy during those final moments in part 1 at the end, and intro of Part 2 along with a couple of other cobras defending Johnny also turning more into good guys, it’s a weird twist while Sensai and Dutch stay bullies throughout the sequels Intro scene. This theory lends itself to open interpretation since nobody knows any of the characters BACK STORIES & origins from either film.
@@MagicDJ300 I agree with your assessment, but I think that people can be bullies and then resent their actions and become a hero. Take an extreme example of save venom in the comic books was a straight villain in the beginning, wanting to kill all of Spider-Man’s friends and family, including himself. But as the issues grew, he became an antihero and eventually a hero, that doesn’t negate the fact that he was a psychopath in the beginning but he had a redemption and I think that’s kind of the same thing that happened with Johnny. But I respect your opinion on this. I just happen to think that he was a bully in the beginning, but it was due to manipulation on.Kreeses part. He was kind of brainwashed from the beginning of his martial arts training to be a violent bully to get what he wanted. And it was only through seeing Daniel‘s determination to keep getting back up after getting knocked down and getting overpowered and outnumbered over and over and over again that he finally saw that what he was doing was wrong, and the way that Daniel was being taught was the superior method and he dropped his sensei because he saw through the BS. That’s just my opinion on it.
Y’all are gaslighters extraordinaire! I’m pretty sure they’re broken up, he breaks someone’s property, is verbally abusive, also throws the first punch, continues to harass Daniel unprompted during soccer tryouts and on their motor bikes. And then he doesn’t listen to Bobby reasoning with him. You also see the general attitude displayed by the teacher and other karate students. Outside of Bobby, they all act pretty shitty throughout. Also, Johnny sexually assaults Ali. I don’t want to bring it to that level but if you are trying to gaslight fans of what the movie was really about then you need to be called out on b.s. It was to make Daniel jealous but it was definitely aggressive and non consensual, so yeah….. if you think Johnny is the good guy, you are weird. Go watch some more How I Met Your Mother. The whole argument is boring.
Those karate kid movies all have deeper meanings❤ great analysis 👍🏾

as a New Jersey native born and raised, I accept the moniker violent sociopaths. "It's a Jersey thing." hahahha.
LMAO!!! That's the most hilarious thing I've heard all day. Good form. Thanks for that. 😆🤣😂
Johnny did a way better job making himself look good telling the story to Miguel than whatever the heck this is 😂

Short answer? No
Agreed

Did you not watch the video? I said the exact same thing in the video.
