First time I see a set up like that lol the carburetor tuck in by the motor. I have a suzuki ax100 im having cold start problems as well. Im gonna don’t this first before anything else. 👌🏼
I want to say thank you for your video. You were spot on in. My 86 Yamaha yz250 was having the same issues, hard starting, about 10 kicks, but once it started it ran great. I removed carb, cleaned choke circuit with a small wire, and it started on first kick. You know carbs!
Glad you got it to fire on one kick brother. I'm definitely learning as I go and probably like yourself just fixing what's not feeling right. Btw I would love to own anything bigger than a 150 here in my neck of the woods especially your old school yz250.
Good job and cool bike! One thing though, if you had an expansion chamber on there instead of the pipe you have now, you wouldn’t believe the difference it would make.
Ive got to try this. Ive tried cleaning the jets. New float valve. Setting the float height. Checking fuel tap etc. new plugs. Hard to start. Grumbles. But wont go. Takes loads of kicks and eventually goes. When warm or hot it goes first kick.
Yes sometime we just miss that one that one simple hole that will do the trick. Good luck and lmk if it fixes it..and one more that have gotten me a few times on my other bikes is fuel cap vent.
@@zukins5003 yes I remember watching my friends quad run for a while then cut out. He would check he had fuel and it would start right up. Then cut out again a few mins later. We eventually figured out it was the aftermarket gas cap that was covering the vent hole 😂
Makes sense i had brand new DS100 back in 78 that thing would be fine hot engine cold it would just flood the dealership never fixed it so dad returned it
Isn't that crazy, here in Thailand as well bikes are slammed with this euro5 emission and it runs inconsistent just like what you mentioned plus park it a bit and more problems..

Yes and while you're at it make sure all those tiny orifices are clean of any debris. Good luck and lmk how it goes.
