Everybody like "wow, you can go under" while I'm realizing you can go above and not get fried 💀
I mean, it's like going towards the Strider directly, verses going behind it. You can make it easier if you think about it a bit.
Same goes for the Wallclimber - there's an alternate path away from the main gate that lets you fight less enemies, and you can immediately dive into the canyon area for cover before flying right into the city and away from artillery range.

Skill issue
If you kick as soon as the laser hits, it completely misses you or goes through you without doing any damage.
I went under on my first playthrough, it felt like the most sane and smartest option when looking at the situation.
I didn't even know that lasers were coming until they were arrived
I literally just brute forced my way through the lasers like a man possessed

I didn't even know going under the bridge was an option
That was literally my go-to but I think it's largely build depenent - I played with Quads so floating under the bridge was quite obvious,
If you use a Coral generator you can Assault Boost under the bridge no problem
I got through by casually flying a quadpedal under the bridge, but still got hit like twice during the climb. Still, a good way to do it.
@@mareczek00713Not necessarily, I did it with tank legs by landing on one of those narrow platforms underneath.

I've beat this mission multiple times and got S-rank before realizing going under was even an option lol.
QB the instant the warning goes away and you'll be good !
I never went above, we only need QB after the alert? Don't have to be in assault boost as well?

I did happen to replay the mission recently with a much heavier/lower thrust AC, and I may have just been sluggish, but you might have to delay just ever so slightly from alert going away... Otherwise, anything with decent thrust and the timing seemed perfect. It seems a fair amount of the alerts - like the assassin/defender droid that fires the laser at you the moment the fight starts - are meant to be dodged the instant the warning goes away.

Kicking just before it hits completely messes it up. Even if it hits it does no damage.
Well damn, now I HAVE TO dodge the lasers, there's no other option...

Then I remembered the boss of this level(pre-patch).
Did they nerf the sea spider as well?

@@TheKnightDrag0n they killed ibis and sea spider, balteus was actually the least nerfed one, yet that specific missile barrage nerf made his fight a joke tho. all 3 now are a joke. Not like they weren't before if you went in easy mode (zimmers-gatlings and songrbids-stun needle)
@@TheKnightDrag0ni feel like the nerf isn't that significant. But maybe it's because i'm over NG++ before they patch the game.
I went above by just not really caring much on my NG+ and the laser that shoots WHILE Carla is saying the special line for dodging them all... hit me. Oops.

First play thru I dodged the lazers np. 2nd play thru i got blasted and had to go under the bridge.
I practiced this so many times, it was good training for dodging.
Never even considered going under the bridge in all three playthroughs. Always do this mission with my fastest booster build

i did this recently and it brought me grrat joy to be praised by mommy carla
I always knew you could go under. But my setup was so lame I had to go top to keep my energy charged. After that I'm just a daredevil. Just built into me to go top for the risk factor and thrills. Oh the thrills of dodging super lasers.
Messed this up a little bit going under. Exposed yourself to the laser early, so she said no where to hide now early.
Yeah, count me among those who didn’t know you could go underneath and practiced dodging the lasers instead.

Always thought she was saying "know where to hide now" as in now she could sent units up top without them getting fried because she knew where the blind spots were

Eh. It makes a lot more sense from a tactical standpoint. Open bridge with seemingly no cover when she says it. "Nowhere to hide now" makes sense. But some of us just looked under the bridge and found the steps
The only time i went under was while looking for battle logs
Funfact i went under in the first part then above the bridge for the crossing part and i dodged a few lasers and i can confirm she said the same thing as crossing abov everything

I just skipped across all the things you can stand on under the bridge. My build was fat and inefficient. It needed the break at the last step before flying across

I only found out yesterday in NG+3 that you can go under the bridge...
i only found out rn because of the video.
And you can even jump on those little platforms there to recharge some energy.
I mean... Isn't that supposed to be the ONLY way to do it? I personally never knew you can go above.
@@Mad_racc00n during my first playthrough, at this point, i was using Alula booster and ling-tai generator. they worked wonders for dodging stuff and brushing thru enemies.

huh, I did go above above the bridge without getting hit on my ng+++, got this dialogue but paid no attention whatsoever, nice to know it was something "unique", after all it was expected from me to not get hit since my AC at the time was heavily inspired by White Glint and I was listening to Remember on spotify haha
I am guessing she says that when you dodge one of the lasers because I got hit one time and she still said she never seen a pilot like me. Or maybe I got hit before the bridge so it doesnt count as one.
I got her to give me that line and I got shot immediately after she said it, lol

It took a while for me to even confirm that you can dodge the lasers because I’m shit at dodging lamo
Because of that I went under the bridge first
I have never gone under...am I the weird one? After the first shot or two I learned the timing.
I went above the bridge on my first playthrough because it didn't even occur to me to go under.
It was a very annoying experience lol.
So, uh, lmao.
I died a ton to the Sea Spider, especially since it was before they nerfed it. It took me a couple of days of trying between work shifts, so I had to start the mission from the very beginning a lot. It was on one of the runs that I realized I could go under right from the start. Helps that there's a chest down there to encourage exploration. I went partly above on one run because there is at least one log to get.
Is that the same lazer that smacked you at the beginning of the game or a weapons platform thats just higher from where you are?
Neither. The Lazer in the beginning of the game was a massive satellite cannon, this I'd just a smaller one
5 times completed the game and almost half of missions already ranked S....and i just know it is possible to go underneath the bridge. this is very unlike Fromsoftware, offering an easy way i mean.
There's a chest down there hidden in a corner, I believe, too. I can't remember what's in it beyond that I'm pretty sure it's not a weapon. I scan pretty frequently after chapter 1 to look for any chests I've missed.

As i've experienced, Carla comments on dancing through lasers if you get targetted by several lasers back-to-back or simultaneously.
Under the bridge is the same. Except you don't get seen most of it.

There's a little hole in the floor that you can jump into as soon as you exit the lift 0:35. After you get swarmed by drones and go outside again you will find yourself under the bridge and you will see a lot of platforms that you can jump on to recharge energy.

There's an entire area on the right side of the map with battle log enemies that comes out directly under the bridge. No clue how everyone still misses it.
people shocked at the revelation you can go underneath is pretty embarrassing. imagine having no problem solving skills
