For me the part that stood out the most was, ironically, in her boss fight. The way she talks to you the entire time sounds like a scorned lover, especially "We could have walked together..."
She might as well be screaming, "after all I have done for you, how could you do this to me?!"

What makes that fight the hardest in the game is that it's very hard to see the screen through my tears.
I did the liberator ending first. And then realized. Oh crap I gotta hurt Ayre now. Even for those that don't simp for her it hurt. It hurt more than fighting rusty. I couldn't even get mad any time she beat me. Girl just wanted to live and save her people. But I had to to get the true route which im still working on. .... All that aside though frickin AWESOME fight.
Both Ayre and Walter really care about Raven/621 in their own way.
One as a potential partner, the other as a loyal dog... Gee, which one shall I pick.

You missed the bit of dialog during the ECM fog mission. after the 3rd one she points out that comms with Walter will be back after we disable the last one, but that the last jammer isn't going anywhere so we can take our time. Couldn't help but smile at that one

And the second you finish clearing the area, Walter's call finally connects, and he warns you that the PCA are nearly on top of you.
Now, who tipped off the PCA? Who *definitely* doesn't want a fully-operational Xylem in the hands of Overseer? Who has this level of information access? Who is such a skilled hacker that she can find, and subsequently break into, Allmind's secure files in a matter of seconds?

I actually chose to do go for the ending where you turn against her first, that way the endings where I side with her are the most recent memories.

@@RhazOfRheosthat moment after fighting her in a previous ending, then the actually subtle foreshadowing with the training simulation (itself just a fun fight with the stairs turned so far down), for her to show up at the end in her own Ibis and fighting side by side, my god that feels good.
she's also a perfect foil to Walter, especially at the beginning of the game. She's gentle and cares about your wellbeing, as opposed to Walter's cold and callous dialogue.
Erin Yvette did a splendid job giving life to her. No praise is enough for her role

The bit about being glad her mission could be profitable to you really solidified that she wants you happy. Makes me think something about the connection between coral and human causes them to become extremely attached to their humans.
I mean saria (dolmayans coral voice) was fine with him having to smoke her kind just so they can talk. And it takes killing the species for Ayre to turn on you.
It makes sense since the coral is sharing your brain waves, meaning they get to sense and feel everything you do. They basically get to experience having a body, "a shared life".
Well clearly this "Contact" must mean that a coral individual must have some same vibe or something that makes them special in terms of compability.
@@blitzwolfer4154 that means iguazu could have had one too, or maybe not, he did say Ayre was the voice that was bothering him so maybe we were always fated to be enemies
@@sdbzfan1 I think it was more like Iguazu was tuned to the same frequency as you, not necessarily having his own coral buddy. Def a fault of the 4th gen augmentation. I don’t think he entirely understood what she was saying, sounding like a ringing in the ears, and when he finally fully tuned into the coral frequency he was finally able to understand here.
@@sdbzfan1My guess is something went wrong with Iguazu so that, unlike with 621 and Dolmayan, he couldn’t even recognize that it was voices, and could only interpret it as painful ringing. Maybe a faulty Contact.
When she tells you to take a little longer since Walter is out, she's like it's just me and you I don't mind that at all.

@@RayRMT Well in her case she literally lived inside you and guided you better in missions than any of them. Like fr do you think our lobotomite is gonna have an easy time navigating all the maps and figure out stuff all by themselves (including detecting enemies)? Easy examples that pop up on top of my head are investigating the underground depths, xylem related missions, and coral related missions. Also SPOILERS she actually fights alongside you in a boss fight tho only temporary but that goes for every ally unfortunately. What would I give to have a full map with Ayre and Rusty at the player's side

In the end I just opted for Walter and Carla cause it was 2vs1 character I liked and it still broke my heart having to fight her and her dying words. Raven was the only other she could rely and talk to. And saw the alternate ending spoiler in the video so im gonna def get that ending so she can fight alongside her Raven 😭❤️

All the voice actors in this game did incredible jobs. Arye, Walter, Carla, Snail, Michigan, and Rusty all give S rank performances.
Even when this is a Ayre focused video, our buddy still have to time to say hi to us XD

I dont remember him dying in the Alea Lacta Est ending, and maybe he just gets knocked out on the Liberator of Rubicon ending.
@@FarmerSlayerFromTheEdoPeriod in the AIE ending he and all other mercs/corporation personnel are wiped out by ALLMIND offscreen. And in the LoR ending he is suddenly obliterated while talking to you over comms by V.II Snail in the Arquebus Balteus AC
@@davidpotts7116 I just remembered about Snail killing him, but dont they all sort of come back in the ALE ending? Atleast i think he does come back with the other AC pilots, maybe im just tripping tho
@@FarmerSlayerFromTheEdoPeriod it's... complicated with the AIE ending. They'll be able to essentially live forever so long as their existence isn't devoured or burnt away, but it's unclear whether or not they're still truly themselves as they are now part of a collective and may not retain their own sentience. It's just an example of Fromsoft storytelling - we have a billion piece puzzle and only a fraction of the pieces needed to complete it. Especially when Ayre calls herself a Rubiconian, yet ALLMIND identifies her as an entity born from a mutation in the Coral that ignited when 621 destroyed the collector. So it's unclear whether she calls herself a Rubiconian because she was actually born on Rubicon and somehow disembodied herself, or whether she was a mass of Coral that mutated and she only calls herself a Rubiconian because the Coral she was born from was from Rubicon.
The best part about Ayre: she doesn’t go away when you take your meds

NG++ is the best experience with her because ALLMIND isnt around. You need to get the second ending for it tho. I feel like the game till NG++ is the full story of Ayre, 621 and ALLMIND repeating time. Ayre tells you that she feels like she have known you before when you first made contact and ALLMIND just remembers you.

@@saftigerkeks5212 Thats why I always do the worst thing first. Itll give me the motivation to "Fix things" afterwards. Also the game honestly wants you to do the bad ending first because on NG+, lots of new story choices supports the good ending. So its kinda weird when you play all the new missions then suddenly chose the bad ending.

You forget the mission when we're at the floating city for the first time, our comms with Walter was jammed by the fog and she said it's been a while since we were alone together and then wanted us to "take as long as we need". And then when we destroyed the fog machine she sounded sad because now Walter's coming back online. Cutest moment imho.

The Xylem mission is the best one, She likes the routine and she also says you should wait a bit before activating the beacon so its just you two for a bit before you get Walter back.
Disappointed that we don't get extra chat/dialogue if we just hang around. I guess it's difficult when 621 is a silent protagonist. Oh well.

I kinda adore how despite Ayre being the sweetheart of Rubicon she also is completely okay with (and occasionally encourages) killing, she understands that 621/Raven is a merc, she isn't trying to pull a "stop all this violence PLEASE" shes more like "Raven sweetheart can you kill that guy? For me please? I'll sell whats left of him to make sure get cash for this!"
Unless you go for the “Fires of Raven” ending where you’re attempting to completely extinguish her species.

To be honest, I just love how she identifies as Rubiconian even when she's not human. She's born in rubicon, therefore, she's a rubiconian, just of another species.
The more I think about this stuff and the concept of symbiosis, the more sense I find in Alea lacta Est. I can't wait for VaatiVidya's lore videos and... of course, his "Prepare to Cry" videos.

Many dates were had with my Coral waifu and the adventure (hopefully) continues, very happy with the clear romance implications from FromSoft as usual. My favourite is when she tells you to take your time since you're alone together and Walter isn't around on the Xylem survey mission.

She used to be human though, she just got consumed by the fire and became part of the coral.
Pretty sure coral itself can have its own consciousness as well. Pretty sure thumb dolmyan had his own coral waifu before the fires of ibis because he was snorting coral.
Since Ayre can control machines that runs in coral, then they can just go further research coral and see if a person that has a symbiosis with coral can be taken over by ayre or they can just make an android waifu, you know just for research purposes. HEHEHEHE.
@@AwakenShogun, or go thru the Bladerunner 2049 route and have a coral-powered hologram technology and use that to create a hologram body for Ayre. It would be like Agent K and his hologram GF, Joi in said BR 2049 film.

from what ive heard, older AC games allowed you to pick different pilots to have as voices for your OS. could be wrong (i haven't played the older AC games) but that's what ive heard around.

It took until just now, without the background noise of being in a mission and instead just listening, to realize that 621 is listening *through* the ‘noise’ Iguazu complains about every time. ((Ignoring ng++ comms that explain it later)) There is a low-volume-high-frequency whine when Ayre speaks or takes over the brainwaves in the hangar that I couldn’t pick up without screwing with audio balance.
Given that gen 4 augments can make Contact, it is likely Iguazu could hear coral beings, but his link is imperfect so all he gets is ringing

I love Ayre. Beat it 1st playthrough maybe a few days ago. Got the good ending. Felt great siding with her. It's going to kill me to betray her for my NG+ since I want all 3 endings. Saw some fights vs Ayre & her dialogue alone throughout the fight just kills you.

Yes, Coral and Lifestream are similar.
