Bought the Jefe trigger and followed the instructions like the video (took me some back and forth), but it works perfectly!!! Thanks for the teaching. Keep on doing it!!!
Glad I watched this, I forgot a little so I did it a little differently but it worked, everything was lined up. Pretty simple, functions way better than the stock trigger, pretty much retired this pistol, now I can use it again, the stock trigger safety is garbage. Very good video, I think I did it in about 15 minutes, no rush, I'm no gunsmith, but I know a little, one thing is when you take something apart remember how to put it back together and don't lose any parts. Or when all else fails, read the directions, or watch the video, lol
I curse your name Galloway Precision!!! You're costing me more money every time I watch your videos! All kidding aside, I love your simplistic way of presenting these videos. I'm about to install a Galloway trigger for my G2C and I have the Jefe trigger, as well as a full length guide rod, in my cart on your site and about to order. I'll probably be getting some more Galloway products for my Ruger SR9 also. I hope my wife understands...
Feels a little crunchy if you're not on the trigger safety in a very narrow window, compared to the stock 2018 SFx trigger. Hoping the trigger safety and frame surfaces wear in with fire/dry fire.
Thank you for your video. He helped me a lot by some miracle. I was able to do it myself watching your video. I really appreciate it. Please keep making more videos.
Picked up a Jefe trigger from eBay. Honest assessment prior to installation: the finish between the polymer on polymer engagement surfaces could be smoother. Probably going to hit it with some 1000grit sand paper and/or a rotary polish bit, maybe do a bit of edge beveling work, before I install it. Otherwise, solid tutorial.
Your video just helped me install my Fat Daddy trigger from FreedomSmith!!! Great presentation! Only thing worth mentioning is there a is a little retention pin that keeps the slide stop in place and I missed that and was wondering what I did wrong bc my slide would lock back every time I racked it until I noticed that pin just barely in your video. Other than that, I’m good to go now!
Hello, I hate to hijack these fine folks' video but evidently, UA-cam stop allowing messages yesterday. did you have any problems with the Fat Daddy trigger fitting in the gun?
ColtCommander45 I didn’t have that problem and it shoots just fine! I saw another comment on another video about fitting issues. I guess I was lucky but it installed exactly as displayed here.
ColtCommander45 I had to reinstall my Fat Daddy trigger after the drop safety tab in the trigger broke during normal firing. (Freedom Smith supplied a new one free of charge.). Rather than install the firing mechanism and trigger bar first as shown in this video, I found it much easier to install the trigger and pivot pin first, and then install the fire control and trigger bar. I was close to the point of completely disassembling the lower frame after struggling with trying to do it the poster's way when I decided to install the trigger first. When I took that approach it all went together easily.
@@cenichols1641 my fat daddy safety lever broke as well. i think they have now switched to a better design. they are sending me a "heavy duty" safety lever.
Is there a way to modify the Jefe to get rid of the takeup. I love the trigger reset for follow up shots, but there is a ton of take up before the wall that is worse than the factory trigger. Can a set screw be added to reduce the take up with this design?
I just installed mine and there’s so much extra polymer on the safety lip that I can’t get it to go up and out of the way. I can push as hard as I can’nand it won’t move up. I have stick my finger behind the trigger to move the safety out of the way and then it works. I guess back to the factory trigger until I can get it to an armorer and spend a shit ton of money to get it sanded and fine tuned. Bummer. Oh well.
I've been looking for a trigger that removes most of the take-up from the first shot. There's so much of it. On the initial pull, there's a lot of take-up, then it hits this artificial wall where the trigger gets slightly harder to pull, then it finally breaks. Does this trigger remove all that take-up? If it does I'll buy one, seems simple enough to install.
The Jefe SFx is a flat face trigger that allows full forward travel of the trigger, while having a built in over travel stop so that once the striker falls the trigger stops shortening the overall trigger pull length. Here is a recent customer review of the Jefe trigger, "This one has almost the same pretravel of the original but the feel of this trigger is amazing compared to the original. But adjusting the small screw at the bottom is when it gets interesting, as soon as the trigger breaks, if adjusted right, you’ll have almost no over travel and have a super short reset that will blow your mind doing follow up shots."
@@GallowayPrecision thank you unfortunately I traded my canik before my trigger got here so now I have an awesome canik trigger and need to buy another canik lol
Just installed the Freedomsmith Champion trigger, on my SFX, using this method. Thanks for the video!

That is great to hear. Thanks for the feedback.
Glad you have it installed and working perfectly. Thank you for the feedback and the encouragement.
I love that short reset. I think I need this one.

One issue, brother. The safety would snag a bit, so I had to shave about 1/16 of an inch off the safety behind the trigger. It works good now.
Dude someone who did what i was thinking. why take it all out to just pop the trigger in.

Buy the fat daddy, no take up, like a 1911

I watched the installation video and am curious as to why you decided to change the trigger and what advantage is the new one?
Are you in a race! Slow down and show what trigger pin you are taking out. Terrible video.
If you use a finger on either side of the trigger you can pull without pushing the blade
Something was not installed correctly if you can do that. Please contact our tech through our website for help with your installation.
@@GallowayPrecision oh, i was saying you could do that to not pull the blade safety.
If you are doing both the jefe trigger upgrade & the reduced power spring kit at the same time, which of the two wouls you do first?
Will this process also work for the Freedomsmith Zombie Pro trigger?
Just installed the Freedomsmith Pro trigger on my TP9SFX, thanks for the help. Update you on range test tomorrow.
Lol name dropping a more expensive brand here... dunno how GP is going to feel about their tutorial being used on a competitor's product XD
Waiting on the jefe right now just curious why does the fire control group need to come out?
To get the pistol apart. The trigger unfortunately doesn't drop out the bottom due to the trigger bar.

I have a tp9sa mod 2. will this trigger kit work or do i need to piece a kit together?
Mine should be in tomorrow
