Jannicke Wiese-Hansen is another lady with an important role in bm. She did the logo for Immortal and the inner art on their first album, the first two Burzum albums, and Dark Medieval Times by Satyricon.

You create an incredibly beautiful atmosphere in your videos. I love the way you, the environment, your art and music work together. I myself got lost in Black Metal many years ago. It's not just a blunt anti everything genre. There are so many different variations of music and art that it will always be one of my favorite genres. Of course, funeral doom, space rock or matcore also have an appeal for me, but especially when I think of cold rainy days in autumn or winter, I often associate this with black metal, which reinforces everything else. I don't know if you know what I mean, but I find your videos great. Please keep it up.

Your channel is cool, Ulvers old stuff is my favorite specially the album art. It actually inspired me to start painting so i did, i think it turned out alright. I first did Bergtatt then did nattens madrigal (wich i framed and is on my wall) now im working on Kveldssanger. All acrylic, anyway greetings from Canada!

Yes, I know he's kinda' famous, but Necrolord might've worth a mention for his amazing artworks. Might be a cliche, but he's my favourite cover artist, although I also adore the art of those you've mentioned.

Amazing artwork. Very talented. I love black metal. My brother has his own solo project, it's really good. I keep my music to myself. My music has never been heard even by my own girlfriend. She knows what it's about but never heard it. Dark subject matter. Maybe another 5 years and I'll release it. Life is vile and sick and the humans could care less what happens to ppl even if it involves torture and worse. Metal is the reason I'm here, that and my artery was nicked not cut. Amazing video and art
I would find it amazing to hear your music, and how can one not share your views? I find it odd that christians r on a kick that Jesus is retutning now as things are so horrible when at any given time in history people were even worse. B.M. is a huge part of my life and the art amazing. Stay strong. DEAD
A lot of people don't know what true torment is. Or what it's like to relive it night after night 20 years later. Even my friend doesn't seem to understand what a trap abuse is and how it's near impossible to leave it due to fear of killed etc. The most distressing thing is ( in my opinion) is that , my life of hell is nothing compared to what some have gone through. I've had almost everything happen to me that one can imagine. Not had an organ stolen but abuse and death, torture and worse ,almost dying n stuff, I know all to well. I may release it one day when I can cope n put it all enough behind me to just let it all go. I may be 6'5 man with a beard but I'm still that kid. And I hate being that kid but I can't let it go yet, Maybe one day. If you have ever heard a song by Korn called daddy, lyrically , that's the stuff I write about but the music is black metal and Depressive Suicidal Black Metal. I appreciate ya words and it's nice to see not every one is so blind that today's age ain't that bad but the evils committed still go on and with no repercussions. I should know, I went to a group as a kid for kids who have been tortured and ya know. 1 kids perpitrator got 4 years, he was a baby sitter. All I will say on that but the rest of us got nothing. 0. Justice is rare but there isn't as many issues as long ago, so there is that.
Awesome work, discovered a few artists I didn't knew before! I also highly recommend the work by Mariusz Lewandowski, a Polish painter behind masterpiece covers from Bell WItch and Mizmor, and many more.

Album art does seem to be overlooked a little bit, but there is some really great stuff, personally I really like when bands use old paintings for their covers

Not black metal but my favorite is Estonian artist Jüri Arrak who does Metsatoll's album art. Love his striking, weird, Picasso/Chagall-esque figures.
