Nice one dude, really glad to hear that - I think some of the best metal logos out there are drawn by artists with a background in graffiti writing. I think my current favourite metal logo is the Dead Body logo! ⚔️

Thanks so much for the videos man. As a self taught photoshopper they’ve been a huge help!! Had a question, is it possible to use pressure sensitivity with a mouse or has to be a pen? Can’t seem to get it to work!

Glad to hear the vids have been useful mate! Hmmm I don't think it's possible with a mouse unfortunately, but you could try build up your logo shape with a sketch layer with a really small brush like 5px. Hope that helps!

Hey man! Just wanted ask if when making very detailed logos like this for clients, would it be okay to just send them hi- resolution PNGs from PS and not vector files? I'm kinda having a hard vectorizing my designs because of all the detail. It takes up way too much time that I could spend making other work.
Great question, mate - when I make a gritty and detailed/organic feeling logo I will usually bring a super high res version (9000x9000px @ 300dpi minimum) into illustrator and give it an image trace. You will always lose a small bit of detailing, but bringing as big a file as possible in to trace will significantly reduce the loss of detail, and the clients receive vector EPS files of their logo with the high res PNGs then. Another note though, basically anything at 300dpi that is c.A3 in size will be perfect for any merch print, however anything large format like a backdrop etc will need to be a vector.

Where to find that brush you are using? I only have round brushes
That one is a round brush which comes with Photoshop, but I am using a display tablet for drawing so can use the pens pressure sensitivity - if you are using a mouse then sadly I don't think the pressure sensitivity brush will be available ⚔️

Hi mate for the rough sketch layer here I'm using a regular round brush with 100% hardness and pressure sensitivity turned on, then for the detailing layer I use the free lasso tool and fill the selections with black. Hope this helps and good luck with your artworking

Sick! My best advice would be to look for inspiration for names outside of the world of slam/death metal.
Try to find something unique that will set you apart - maybe draw inspiration from your favourite TV, video games, books, anime etc. Best of luck with your project! ⚔️
