I´ve used G7 for the past year here in Ireland and the upgrade is insane. @kate-pure I would say it's more accurate, most of the time I'm not too far from what the finger readings say (0.1 to 0.4 difference maximum). Hi Mary! I’ve had my g7 for about 3 months and I love it! Much easier to use than the g6, and less problems with signal loss from laying on the sensor (g6). The one thing it does do is if you put your phone down and go more than 20 feet from it, it loses signal and gives an error. But still much better than the G6!
i have the Dexcom g7 for about 3 months and so far I love it. I hardly need to calibrate it unless its in the wrong spot. The arms gives good readings more than anywhere else it seems. Probably why they say arms only for adults. leg, its okay but it just depends on the person. basically, listen to your body if placing it elsewhere than arm. i nearly gotten g6 but it changed to g7 at the last minute. I do hope your insurance accepts and approves the g7 for you, Mary. Take care and love your videos.
I loved watching you get your first Dexcom G7. I live in the United States, Pennsylvania to be exact. I have been using the Dexcom G7 for about 6 months now. I love it so much. No more scary nights waking up with a 60 Reading, that alarm at 3:00 in the morning it's kind of scary but it's better than having a medical emergency. Good luck with your new Dexcom, I love watching all your videos.
i've had my g7 for several months now (i live in the states), and it is a complete life saver. when i was younger i was apprehensive of the g6 because i found the insertion a bit too painful, so i struggled with highs for several years without using a cgm. i've only had one g7 insertion be painful at all so far, and it has brought my A1C down significantly! so glad its approved in canada now as well, congrats!!!

It only came out this year in the US, so it’s not covered by my insurance yet, likely next year. I’m also waiting on the Omnipod 5 integration and the direct to watch communication. ???? Just because you are using the Dexcom G6 now, does not mean you cannot switch to the G7 in the future. Your 4 year reference is in relation to the warranty on diabetes products such as pumps or CGMS. But with CGMS, like the Dexcom, you can switch to the newest model when it becomes available. CGMS are used up every month or so. Its not like a pump which is a durable product and lasts for many years. With a pump you have to replace the whole device. A CGMS is similar to insulin. You can switch to a different brand/type of insulin anytime. Change from Novolog to Lyumjev or Apidra for example. You would likely just use up your old insulin vials and then start using the new insulin. Same with CGMS. Use your existing G6 sensors and then start using your new G7 sensors.

Heyo. I've been using the g7 for about 3 months and im in love. I tried the g6 and hated it. I donlt feel this at all. I will say that the overpatch it comes is kinds weird when you get it wet. I just use a extra overpatch that you can get off Amazon, that way you can get it wet. But i love it. I hope you love it too.
I'm a month using the G7 now and it's been a game changer it's really saved my fingers, I'm paranoid when my sugars spike high now and I was constantly checking my sugars and was using about 6 tubs of test strips or close 😅 but it's not always accurate but 90% of the time I do still have to use my meter but not as often.
My insurance made me switch to G7 in June. It actually costs my insurance company less. My copay on it is still $0. I love it. I see lots of complaints on Facebook, mostly because they like to restart their G6 sensors. I've never done that. I like the G7, haven't had any problems with it. I went on a cruise last week and it handled the ocean, pool and hottub just fine. The cruise I went on in May, wearing my G6, my transmitter failed, I didn't have another and had to finger prick and bolus the rest of the cruise. It was annoying. I had brought an extra sensor but not a transmitter, the transmitter I had was only 2 weeks old, so I didn't have another transmitter to bring. Anyway, the G7 worked great and if it had failed I could just use another and not have to worry about another transmitter.
I'm not a diabetic but my mom is and I'm learning more and more about diabetes. I'm hoping that she can get on dexcom g7 but I'm not sure about her insurance though. Fingers crossed that her new doctor says that she can get it through her insurance next year. Cause I really think that this might be good for her.
(I'm not a diabetic but this is interesting) So although the warmup is TECHNICALLY 20 minutes By the time you get it on it's even less then that, 15 minutes or less That's not too bad Especially considering you can keep the other one on while it's doing its thing Very pog congrats 🎉😎
Great video! I'm not diabetic but I came across your channel and think you're fab! QUESTION: If the instructors tell you to clean with an alcohol wipe...why don't they come in the kit?!
New user still learning this new fangled device. I'm still on awe, won't have bleeding tender fingertips. Unfortunately my 2nd install didn't take fell out 4 hours later. I need reorder since I was only sent 3 initially. Will try again tomorrow.
Been using mine for 2 months now. It have been a game changer for me. I have not used another CGM so I have no comparison. You do need the overlay. It will fall off. I find it is about 5 minutes behind fingersticks. I will put the new one on and pair it 30 minutes later. Only then will I unpair and remove the old one. One thing I found put recently is that when it accidently falls off when you are on a trip, you can only pause the alarms for 6 hours at a time. And it will continue to try to pair with the sensor that fell off even after you unpaired it.
That's so cool! Unfortunately the g7 app isn't compatible for my phone so I had to switch to the g6 but it works fine for me so my mom especially knows what my sugar is because since I'm also special needs too but congrats!
The G7 is the only sensor I've used so far, and it is great. One thing I have to say is that sometimes the Bluetooth connection won't work, and people might get bad, "batches" of dexcoms.
And I really like the G7 it work kinda well I think you will have a good experience with it but is only my 4th time having it because it only just been diagnosed like 3/5 weeks ago
I'm in the States and switched to the G7 for a three-month cycle and wound up going back to the G6. I got lots more disconnects and I had to calibrate a LOT, and a fair number of them came off.
Same but i love see the good and bad of technological help other communities now my questions is what happens to the dexcom6 that is on your arm are waiting for it to be finished then just use the 7 also glad you have the 7 now i know you have been talking about since you knew about happy its available in your county 😊
I came from the Libre 14 day to the G& due to insurance coverage in the US. I enjoy the G&, just wish it was 14 days LOL. and Im sure you found out by now, the warm up starts whn you press the button. that is how ppl get around the no readings, insert new sensor during the 12 hour grace period but dont 'activate' on the reader for several hours to allow it to soak, mine usually takes about 5-6ish hours to level out. I dont calibrate till after 12/24 hours as that is still the 'wonky' period
My son tried the G7 a few months ago and we had a terrible time. Constantly failing in insertion and would take 3-4 sensors to have one that worked. The warm up time is good though as it starts as soon as it's inserted so you can put one on wait 30 minutes then switch over to it so there is no gap in readings.
I like it. I just wish that I could buy over patches for it. The aftermarket ones suck. I like the one that comes with it because it stays put the entire time.
I'm hoping this is fairly affordable and comes to the U.S soon. The g6 is not bad in my opinion but this completely fixes the flaws it had in my opinion. Is it compatiable with the omni pod?
I love my DexcomG7. As far as I know it still won't work with your omnipod yet. You must remove the old sensor before inserting a new one your meter will tell you that.
I’m not diabetic, but I love seeing how the technology progresses! I wish they had something like this for my health condition. One day.

Dexcom will get it all soon and hopefully I will get the G7 soon. Love your videos humor! I was on the phone with my Doctor's office a bit ago and I was telling them about you and your videos.
I'd love an update on how well it stayed on and how accurate it was.
I like the notes part! I can’t wait for them to connect G7 with the Omnipod 5!
Your hair looks amazing today!!❤
Hello… I just started on my G7 today and I must say that I love it
How cool! I got mine yesterday! I love it so far. The app is crazy good. Much better than the g6.
Warm up starts as soon as you insert the sensor.
There is a tiny magnet in the injector which turns it on 😊
Magnet is removable too 😊
That’s so cool!!!
That’s so awesome to hear!!! I love how much smaller it is too. I think i’m already in love with it 😂
@@marycomeau yeah. It doesn't hurt at all. I'm so happy with it. I'm pretty sure you'll like it too. I'm happy you're posting again. I was worried lol
The warm-up starts as soon as it is inserted so you can have it warming up while the old one is still working
You are back ❤❤❤❤
Yay!! I got the g7 a couple of months ago and it is soo good!! ❤
Congratulations‼️‼️
Congratulations ❤❤❤❤
I'm so jealous I want the G7 so bad. But I'm so happy you got it ❤
Yes it starts immediately (countdown)
(I'm not a diabetic but this is interesting)
So although the warmup is TECHNICALLY 20 minutes
By the time you get it on it's even less then that, 15 minutes or less
That's not too bad
Especially considering you can keep the other one on while it's doing its thing
Very pog congrats 🎉😎
Great video! I'm not diabetic but I came across your channel and think you're fab! QUESTION: If the instructors tell you to clean with an alcohol wipe...why don't they come in the kit?!
I love my Dexcom seven it’s so small and so convenient
Congrats 🎉
Yay, so happy for you
havent even watched the vid yet, but i click this and the FIRST thing i see is a dexcom ad lol
And I really like the G7 it work kinda well I think you will have a good experience with it but is only my 4th time having it because it only just been diagnosed like 3/5 weeks ago
I’m glad you like it!! I’m excited to see how the next few days go with it. Hope everything’s been going good for you since the diagnosis 🤍
Is being good I don’t really like being the only one at school who has to. go through this
I'm in the States and switched to the G7 for a three-month cycle and wound up going back to the G6. I got lots more disconnects and I had to calibrate a LOT, and a fair number of them came off.
It’s totally like my Libre 3 applicator
I also hold it on for 10 seconds to make sure the adhesive sticks well
Love the details you can put in on the app…. Libre 3 lacks details
Also love the blond hair 😍
Wow awesome!!
G7 really small !!
You go girl ❤❤
Ahhhh I can’t wait to finally get the G7!!!!
Eagerly awaiting the integration with the t:slim!!!
I find it funny how I got a ad for the g7 while watching this video about g7. That's funny
I’m waiting for the G7 with with the insulin pump, not FDA approved yet in the US for pregnancy.
I got diabetes when I was 8 and I have had mine for about almost 2 months and it’s really 👍
I am looking forward to seeing the review after a few days. My patients keep losing them in clothes and in the shower.
I'm hoping this is fairly affordable and comes to the U.S soon. The g6 is not bad in my opinion but this completely fixes the flaws it had in my opinion. Is it compatiable with the omni pod?
I AM SO JEALOUS!!!
I like my g7 can’t wait for it to sync with my omnipod 5!
I’m currently using the Dexcom G6 and hoping to get the Dexcom G7 in the future
Omg this is going to be good ❤❤
I just went from the freestyle libre 3 to the Dexcom G7 and it has been a massive upgrade
congratulations !! 🩷🩷
I love my DexcomG7. As far as I know it still won't work with your omnipod yet. You must remove the old sensor before inserting a new one your meter will tell you that.
i remember when you put on the g6!!! it only feels like lastwek.
