I have a 600x in absolutely mint condition that I acquired as part of a lot purchase. It has the original Eflite 700 500kv motor, a Talon HV120 ESC, the original H6040 cyclic servos, and the 6080G tail servo. I installed an IKON2 BT fbl with two Spektrum satellites. I have programmed the fbl and done a full ground functional checkout. This heli is for sale and I'm taking offers. Thx.
The 600X and 550X aswell were fantastic. The H6040 and H6080G servos they came with, are fine. The motors are nothing Special but good and reliable. An 7210Bx BeastX FC, and and reliable ESC and you're ready to take off. I still rely on this mechanisms for my precious 600size scale models.
I have flown it quite a bit since this video and it has yet to disappoint me, I don’t do any hard 3D with it since it’s such a rare model, but sport/light 3D is an absolute dream. However, one thing I am dealing with is the tail case, and since you have owned one much longer than me, maybe you could help. As you know, the tail case is held on by two bolts, and that’s it. The tail case crimps the boom and is held on by friction alone, however, even after snugging the bolts as tight as I feel comfortable, the tail case is slipping rearward as well as spinning, I have to constantly keep a check on it, especially if I do fast pirouettes. Does your model have this issue? If so, how did you secure your tail case?
I have three of them. One is equipped with 6-blade main rotor, and since it produces huge torque load, with 4-blade cascade tail rotor. None of them had slipping or spinning tail case. But if it should occure, i wouldn't hesitate to secure it by a short bolt, just long enough to cross the tail boom tube. The tail boom tube allready comes with holes on the tail end.
You could always try a couple of layers of black electrician's tape on the tail boom. Then clasp the tail rotor box over that. So cool to see one in mint condition like this and still getting flown. Thanks for sharing it here!
I was still flying mine till, recently. The pitch slider will wear out . Can't get any more and can't find one that fits from another company. I love that heli it Flys great.
They are out there, recently saw a 550 sell on Market Place for $900. I only paid $200 for mine, but it was really just the heli, no electronics other than the motor and tail servo.
I actually have its little brother the 550 and im not gonna lie, it scares the shit outta me just because i know the damage one of these things are capable of in the hands of someone as inexperienced as i am. Sometimes even the experienced pilots make mistakes and not only do i not have the parts and cant get the parts but i certainly wouldnt want to see someone get hurt. I usually just fly it in circles of figure 8's , maybe a loop or inverted. But my inverted and your inverted is like night and day because mine is like 10 mistakes high!! Lol . I wouldn't trade it for anything because it is a blast to fly!! Anyway, great flight, thanks for posting!!
It looks really nice, i wihs i could have a 600 size some day.. i got a small 100 size, a 275 Esky, and a 325 KDS 450SV And my mom said "Now you just need one of those really big ones on the wall above them" haha

God i miss these helis. i still want a 550. i remember the day it came out. i was in middle school computer lab waiting for it to be revealed.

It sounds awesome, it sounds like a humming bird with very little resonance or motor noise.
