Nice flight! I still have my Blade 300CFX that I bought new 10 years ago. I haven’t flown it, since my last crash. I had replaced the stock collective servos with some from Hitec. I won’t be buying Hitec servos for helis any more. I had one fail mid flight and fought it for what felt like forever. I final got it over the grassy field, leveled it out, and got it as low as possible. I hit throttle hold and it fell straight down like a rock. I got off pretty easy though. The only damage was the plastic landing skids broke and of course all three Hitec servos were toast. I rebuilt it with new metal cased Spektrum cyclic servos and new landing skids. I think I had to replace at least one of the servo links as well. I leveled the swash and set blade pitch to zero at mid stick. I noticed that the swash was not moving correctly and realized I needed to get into the programming mode in the Beast X. I shelved it with the intention to work on it again. Unfortunately, I got involved in many other projects over the years and never got around to it. I can’t remember if there are any shims between the blade grips and head, but most blade helis have shims there. I’m still flying my old Blade 450 3d, Nano CPs, Micro CP BL, 360 Trio CFX 6s and new Blade Fusion 360 3s. I think you have inspired me to get that old 300CFX back in the air🤯. I also installed my Blade Trio 360 CFX into an Airwolf fuselage. I had to modify the fuselage to fit the Trio 360, but I got it to fit and have spooled it up inside. Everything looks good. I am still working on getting the retracts to work correctly. I think I will do a test flight with them fixed for now. During testing I think I burned out the servo🤪.
i had such helicopter with all full metallupgrades, inclusive MKS DS 95 Servos. for me one of best helicopters ever, with the ar 7210 BX FBL from CFX 270...absolut mechanical and technical perfection. love this. why dont offer Blade such Helicopters again.
Still flying my 300 CFX. Bought it when it was first introduced - at one point had three. Sold two - one with well over 1400 flights on it. Learned a lot of 3D on it. Got rid of stock electronics pretty early - stock motor doesn't last long, and the stock cyclic servos don't hold up to 3D in terms of longevity. Stock ESC doesn't have governor. I run Lynx 3S LX8005 motor, YEP 40A ESC (clone of YGE), JR DS287MG cyclic servos, and BK DS-3005 HV tail servo. Have run all the way up to MKS DS95i tail servo. Try Lynx Delrin head dampers to stiffen the blade grips significantly. Also own Blade 270 CFX and had 360 CFX. 360 CFX was Blade's greatest bird 450-stretch or smaller, with the 270 and 300 not far behind. Put over 700 flights on the 360 CFX, having to only replace motor twice and head dampers. 270 CFX excellent reliability too except the motor. Blade cheaped out on the bearings in that motor - I'm lucky if I get over 200 flights before it starts rattling. Running KST DS215MG cyclics on the 270 and stock H3060/H3065 tail servo. 300 CFX fantastic bird to learn with - shame they discontinued it. Yeah, my Oxy 3 probably flies better than the 270 and 300, but it's a more expensive bird all round. BTW, the AR7210BX does have rescue - it's an optional firmware update from BeastX. The AR7210BX for the 270 had rescue, but fun fact - to hit the price point, Blade and BeastX came to agreement with locked-down firmware - not all BeastX configuration options are available. They wanted the AR7210BX to stay with the 270 - you would have to download stock FW to use it on other helicopter, but lose rescue in the process unless you paid extra for it. That didn't go over too well when users learned that. Still, BeastX better than any of the garbage FBLs Blade uses now.
@@mangzrc Be careful if you ever get a Fusion 270 with the Blade FBL - tip-over on spin-up is a common issue. Likely due to firmware bug coupled with the narrow landing skids.
Great flight for a old heli I bought this heli a long while ago when they first came out I’ve swapped out the standard servos for some hitec MS METAL GEAR SRVOS
u might be able to use the 250 cfx head which is the same as a 230 s if u hav to to get feathering shafts its plastic but works fine on the 250 and yes the 300 x is tail heavy
@@mangzrc Yeah I hear a lot of things too . Don't mean they are true . No company is just going to keep making parts for outdated tech . This makes no business sense. I dont care how good the product is .
So cool to see one of these flying and in mint condition. Many thanks for sharing it here! Best regards from Brasilia, Brazil.

I can't get over how smooth this heli sounds. That right there, is the sound of mechanical perfection.

I have a mint 270 CFX, one of my favorite Blade helis. I actually like the 6250 over the AR7210, it’s a good FC imo.

@@orbitalgolem91 I owned 2 270’s and never had that issue. I have videos on my channel about that heli.
Just bought one that looks mint. Learning to fly helos, hopefully this will do.

You are correct I have had many blade helicopters and are all discontinued
What happens if you are flying the Nano S3 inverted and you press the panic button?
What model receiver does it have?
The receiver is built into the AR7210 FBL Controller
i just got the 250 cfx which is the same frame and motor its realy good ,i got wrid of the 300 x it wasnt very well balanced but it was not a bad heli

I changed mine with savox
It's 10 years old . What do you expect ! I don't know too many helis that have parts support 10 years later.
I mean yea but Horizon is bad for discontinuing products and parts much earlier than 10 years. Iv also heard that Align still manufactures fly-bars.
