Aircraft landings have always fascinated me more than any take off. A take off you can understand, but landing those 160+ ton beasts is a different story. It's actually a controlled crash! 😮
This video reminds me of of the advancement in technology over the years and someone commented to me keeping the tip of the spear as your focus in life. This puts everything into perspectives flying an advanced aircraft listening to a really good orchestra or viewing something that expands your knowledge of life appreciate what your seeing, hearing and most importantly what your feeling. Have a great day and beautiful future.
Thats true i make those window frame they are looking out of those Windows and also those landing gear and many of the steel and titanium parts that make up the frame of that plane i forge still.
I can't even imagine how INSANE Miami Airport must be. I landed at Atlanta once and that was an absolute madhouse. The airport alone was as big as my state's biggest city lmao. Miami must be even crazier.
Without doubt these pilots are bloody hero's, it must be a massive brain taxing job. I kept watching for the runway in the dark, I think I would have wiped out the aircraft 3 times, what I thought was the runway turned out to be street lighting in very straight lines, 🤣 Must be worse landing at night than day even with all the technical gear. Why do they speak so fast on the wireless that you cannot understand it?
@@kevindunlap5525 cmon man it’s not that bad and they keep us safe. I know it’s an annoyance but it’s hardly the hill to die on cuz at the end of the day I’d way rather people get screened and it takes an extra 20 mins then just letting anybody in ya know
People need to be more aware of how incredible all of these ATCs are, particularly at the busy airports and areas with multiple Int'l, etc. Most people on their best day couldn't do that job even with training. I have a higher IQ, and trust me, it doesn't matter. I am in awe of these guys and gals every time. THEY are heroes.
I've seen this Pilot fly so many missions here on the Pilot Channel. He goes everywhere. San francisco, L.A. , Miami, England, you name it he's been your 747-400 Pilot. Wonder when we'll get to see the dreamliner videos, maybe they're on here. I thought they took most of the 747's to the bone yard. Good Landing. Brings back memories of my Flight simulator for PC before they axed the program. Now they're coming up with some kind of fancy Simulator program where you have to use the cloud memory.
Larry Pierce there were 542 Boeing 747 aircraft in airline service as of October 2019, comprising 11 747-100s, 18 747-200s, 3 747-300s, 371 747-400s and 139 747-8s.
@@ChatGPT1111 I didn't know that. They seem to be a trustworth aircraft. I've flown in a few of them way back when I was in the Air Force. Mainly overseas tours. I enjoyed it because of there size. Now I'm a Microsoft Flight Simulator nut and can't wait for the 2020 version to appear. I remember that it takes a lot of air space to turn one around. Plus you have to begin your descent pretty far out and tilt of the nose is limited, too. That means of course a gradual descent. It's a thrill in the Simulator, I know flying them for real is probably just as thrilling. I just working on aircraft, they were my passion in life as far as the mechanical and electrical goes. Larry Pierce. They still have Flight Simulator X for PC. I use it. I also use my second screen for Little Nav Maps, navigation of course, and Discord for communications.

On another note: this made me also think about the night lights of the huge cities all over the world! Suddenly it hit me about the electric power being used, being generated, being taken for granted!!! Awesome thoughts to come over you all at once. Or was it just me? 😲
In grade school I was voted most likely to be an airline pilot ended up driving a tractor trailer then welding under ground in the mines finally got my first ride in a 737 at 65 loved every minute we had to take a flight into Charlotte North Carolina it was snowing and raining late at night I don’t know how the pilots do it but when he put the brakes on everybody went forward then left on a CRJ 9 to Lexington Kentucky and I think that plane took off straight up I was grinning from ear to ear couldn’t see out dark and snowing loved it yep.
@@StortWeldingCoLLC Yes man that the very basic thing they taught on radiotelephony class. ATC should give the instructions LOUD AND CLEAR to avoid confusion. Also speaking fast not really good way to save time because maybe some pilot will request the atc to repeat the instructions again if they not hear it clearly which will wasting more time than to speak slower but more understandable to non english speaking pilots/not using english as their everyday language. like me😀

It doesn't feel like a roller coaster at all, more like slight light-headedness and drop in gravity
I always poop myself when they do that
I don't like it yhoooo!
That cockpit sure looks beautiful at night all lit up👍
Check!
Heh! I taught I was the only one who taught that, they bring back memories somehow really.

Fantastic I’m always in awe of airplanes. This was amazing with lights inside and outside in Miami.
Flight is amazing in it’s self, but truly fantastic at night!!!
Beautiful. I love 747s - such a great aircraft!
Beautiful cockpit view!
Seen this captain a couple of times, guy is so pro.
Perfect touchdown. Right on the glide slope.
I feel very much proud of watching such a video.
The hardest part to me, looks like navigating the airport and all those lights 😂

Why do they speak so fast on the wireless that you cannot understand it?
The technology that has evolved from the Wright Brothers first flight early in the last century is simply astounding.
Night landings are beautiful but it must be scary flying in almost total darkness over the oceans.
That would be really calming
Flying at night or day is the same thing. The pilots don't "see" anything in the sky.
I've flown over the ocean (Pacific) a couple times. At night when at altitude, I could actually see other planes in the distance.
