I got my door panels in and I know they wouldn't be like OEM but I didn't think they be so cheaply made and thin , these door panels are the only things lmc has failed me on and I order alot on lmc! Not to mention the premounted door clip mounts snapped right off the doors with no effort

Regarding cautions on the door panels: Any suggestions for an alternative? I am doing a complete restoration of my 1984 GMC K2500 interior. I need color match and strong door panels, etc. I was going to buy all of it here, but with the comments on the door panels, not sure now. On a budget. Thanks.

I noticed something weird on the video at TS: 9:02 where I froze the feed to look at the corner of the door panel. It looks to me like it is upholstered and one can see where the grey shows, like when you fold it over. Is it just me or what is going on there.

So I have a question for Kevin. I did a steering column swap from a 1975 c10 to a 91 silverado 2wd 1500 fully intact tilt column. I have already shortened and welded the shaft to the column. I am in need of serious help adapting my new shaft bracket, which is on the driver fender well side instead of the driver passenger side. The bracket hits the fender, and I purchased the 73-87 transmission gear linkage set from LMC, I need help installing it. I have no idea what I need to do. Can you send me a video of how I need to adapt it, so I can move forward with my project? I would really appreciate it alot! Thxs!

I really like LMC but I wish they'd upgrade their door panels. At this point they're only something like 75% of factory quality. You can tell just by watching this video, their panels don't even have the recess necessary for the fabric insert near the top of the panel. It's just a plastic look-alike thing. For many of us, that's just unacceptable. I use a lot of their other parts but the door panels ain't one of them.

I spend a lot of money at LMC. I like LMC , BUT , Their door carpet panels suck. Within 6 months the new carpet panels had waves in them and looked like crap. 40 year old original ones I found looked far better.
One more thing. I hate cut pile carpet . It sucks in every possible way. The 60's loop style carpet was far superior. Please give us the option for loop style carpet in our 80's trucks.

I don't think any other company has better stuff. The choices are learn to make your own or look for NOS or good used stuff.
I found a decent doner truck for $1000 a few years ago. I have saved a lot of money by robbing parts off that truck. Spare box and cab. Well worth looking for a used truck if you have a place to keep it. Cheers.
