    Hello, Can you please tell me if you can use ELEMENT 3D objects on a powermesh? If so that would be amazing! Thank You for any info :) 😉🌺

    I noticed this has been asked several times before but there is no solution. Can you PLEASE explain in a comment or a very brief tutorial how to setup the nodes to get powermesh working in Davinci Resolve. Iam working with powermesh happily in After Effects but can not get the nodes figured out to get it done in Davinci Resolve. I know its simple but nobody has explained it in a brief step by step way. Thank You very much :)

      Did they not explain it during the Fusion part? Fusion is standalone but is also a part of Resolve. I would also check the limitations if you’re using the free version of Resolve. Some features aren’t supported. Importing Alembic files may be restricted but I’m not sure. Often when I was using the free version I’d run into issues and most of the time it was due to it being the free version.

    This has great potential! However, if I may give a bit of light citicism, the example in C4D at 0:46 shows quite bad matchmoving there. This doesn't make me wanna buy this (yet), if I see such results. Or is it because tracking was done in another program?

      Thanks for the comment, it was taken in the spirit it was meant. The shot is obviously not 100% finished. Before you write Mocha Pro off completely based off 3 seconds in an old video, I would absolutely encourage you to give it a go for yourself. We have a free trial, so you can see what results you can get out of it. You might be surprised how much you like it : bit.ly/30FLFMZ

      @@borisfxlearn I wasn't writing it off, just a bit cautious :-). But in all honesty, I think this is idd a gamechanger! I will try the demo. Thank you for the comment!

      Go to Mocha Pro preferences and head to the System tab. Check the box that says "Use this version with AE". When applying the plugin in After Effects, make sure you are choosing Mocha Pro and not Mocha AE. If you're still having issues, please contact Support : borisfx.com/support/open-a-case/

    When I try to import to Fusion I get an Error (Invalid Archive). The file is .abc (697 Kb weight) . Could this be a Mocha's problem or Fusion's?

    Please help! in cinema4d im not being able to attach 3d model on to the alembic mesh

    • @borisfxlearn
      @borisfxlearn  3 роки тому +1

      The Alembic mesh exported from PowerMesh is still a plane. You would need to deform it to get it fitting your model. This is better off answered in our forums. Could you post your question and some screenshots there : forum.borisfx.com

    Can't we just export a grid instead of this ugly geometry in some cases?

    • @borisfxlearn
      @borisfxlearn  Рік тому

      When you set up your PowerMesh, use the Uniform mode to create a uniform grid. The shape that is output will match your layer shape in Mocha when you created the mesh. You could feasibly create a square layer shape, add a uniform PowerMesh, and then change the shape _before_ tracking to only track the object/area you want warped. Hope that helps.
