@@szczypi0rek i just learned that this week and it truly gave me the longest creative pause i've had in a long time. No doubt. Anyway keep in mind condor ave dates back to a time when he kind of cowrote it (as well as other songs). So to say no taking back in his undeniable talent. He took his way and made things his way. To reference sinatra (?) xD definitely. Still, lets not forget due credits to those with whom he worked with

What the hell is this? Why would you give me some low fi recording that makes me feel something ? I hate this so much! Fuck you for being so fucking good . This gives me cold shivers throughout my heart.
It's unbelievable that Abused was fully formed for so long without getting a serious recording. I mean, it's not exactly the most thrilling song for a major record label to release, but is it that much worse than I Didn't Understand?
It’s such a shame it was never officially released. I’m aware that it was planned for From A Basement On The Hill but was cut by his family after he passed. Definitely a wonderful song where i feel he put A lot of his energy and soul into. There’s versions floating around if you haven’t heard the completed version.
@@Helsinki40268 Same story with True Love. Two of his best songs didn't make his last record. Bummer, but at least we have studio versions of both available. @@Helsinki40268"Not the most thrilling"?? What? It's notorious for its explosive ending and well regarded for the depth and intensity of its lyrics and you say that? Absolutely not. You even think a producer would consider that to be the case compared to songs like, uh, any of the songs on his first 2 albums? Abused is incredible. It was just not put on the last album by his family. Please. 😂
The version that was out there with vocals was fully formed. The mix was poorly done. Just to be clear that version was recorded as part of the either or songs.
From a quick search, it was taken during (I’m assuming) the Xo tour in 1998. Sorry I don’t have anything more concrete than that. I’ll see if can find anything more specific! I know there’s another one from this place where he has sunglasses on too
Theres plenty of noise reduction tutorials out there(I use audacity so it may be different from what audio editing software/daw you use) but essentially if there’s enough audio where nothing happens you can get a profile of the noise and remove it from the rest of the recording. It’s like filtering a certain frequency/noise from the rest of the audio. I’m still learning so my explanation may not be 100% right but that’s the idea
@@skygoneblack6216 hey im gonna say right now i dont intend to mean you should actually do it but if youre actual native speaking a 'native speaker' would you take interest into laying down 'your' interpretation of these 'alternate' lyrics given it's not already out there somewhere (:
i wish i could construct chord progressions even half as good as he could. he just understood man
Fr when I read somewhere that he wrote Condor Ave when he was around 17 I was like how can you be that good

Garrick Duckler, from their band Stranger than Fiction! Although I believe he contributed mainly lyrics?@@claudiomargheri2087
You can, it's the way he added the melody that was really impressive
The first words made me cry. This is amazing. Miss you Elliott.
I've been listening to Elliott since I was 14. I'm 33 now. Haven't heard anything new to my ears since 2009. You're a gem. ❤
His voice is breathtakingly beautiful.
What a beautiful soul RIP man
Bottle up and Explode Alt Lyrics
Bottle up and explode
Over and over
Cuz you react slower than slow
Put it away
Check out for the day
Until you look like a double exposure
The things Mother Nature decides
To let you control
Bottle up and explode
See in the stars
Surrounding you
Red white and blue
You look at him like
You don’t wanna know him
But I know in the past that you have
The last time you cried
Who’d you think was inside
Thinking that you where
About to come over
But I’m tired now waiting for you
You never showed
Bottle up and go
If you wanna hide
It’s up to you
I’m coming through
Bottle up and go
I can make it outside
I’ll get through
Crying for you
Crying for you
Crying for you
So raw....it's encouraging to hear...from seed...
wish he was still around. thanks Elliott for the beauty you shared with the world.
Great version of High Times
I miss this angel more than I can say...
heaven adores you
Handsome devil

Nah. Anyone can write a relatable lyric. His talent was in melody. He was a gifted musician with his melody writing.

Really pretty chord changes starting at 14:09
Anyone know exactly when this was recorded? I was born summer 1997 so I wonder if by some chance this was recorded on my birthday
😮 look for the clip about Elliott from Rick and Morty
Is that throat clear at the start sampled on say yes or did he really clear his throat like that twice

Im guessing either washington state or Colorado. Looks like mount Rainier in the back but thats a shot in the dark ha.
Looks like Oregon, maybe east of Portland somewhere? who knows.
☺️
I think the lyrics of tomorrow tomorrow is better here
Is there a more hiss version? I dislike the muddiness/bass on this

how do you make your audios clearer hiss wise
