The Importance Of Extended Rear Facing Car Seats

In Feb. 2020 I was invited to talk at a car seat conference in Poland. In this video I have put together the parts of my speech that explain why it is so important to keep children rear facing for as long as possible.

Just cleaned all 3 of my car seats and the backseats. I was considering forward facing my 2.5 year old boy but your excellent presentation gave me the insight to make the right decision. I will keep him rear faced until he is at least 4. I have 3 Diono Radian 3’s in the back of my VW golf! They are the only seats, that I know of, that fit 3 across the backseat. My 7 year old is forward faced and my infant and toddler rear faced :)

This is fantastic, really clear and informative. I would definitely watch the full half an hour (I often watch presentations/lectures on youtube) - or be interested to see the other sections, if you think they might work better as smaller chunks :)

No references to rear impact accident. This would make a rear facing seat a potential death trap
