    My child is 5 1/2, he still sits rear facing. He doesn't know any different. He always finds a comfortable place for his legs, he never complains.
    While we are in Europe, there are plenty of seats to chose from.
    Currently he's in a ONLY rf'ing seat that goes to 25kg.
    Soon he will move to ff in a high back booster, with his age his bone structure is solid enough for him to be ff. Never had a need for a ffseat with harness. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Education is everything, my childs life is worth educating myself to the best of my ability.
    Sure his seat was expensive, his life is priceless.
    Once moved to his highback booster, he will be there until he maxes the height limit of 150cm.
    People are way to fast to move their children to the next stage seat, as if it's some type of milestone.
    Keep your kiddos safe and keep them in their seats until they max the limits!
    I'd much prefer a child to be crying while rf'ing (they will adjust), over being ff'ing and end up internally decapitated.
    It's not hard people. It's thoroughly tested & safer. #dontbeapunkfacethetrunk

    The jacket thing people don't realize is also bad for adults to do. Don't ever wear your coat while driving or riding in a car with your seat belt on. Similar results in a crash will happen. It's best to warm your car up in the winter and then take your coat off as you enter your car and then you can put your coat back on before leaving your car. People forget how dangerous driving a car can be!

    Kids should rear-face until at least 4 years old, preferably longer as rear-facing is always safest and could be the difference between life and death in a car crash. NEVER should they forward-face in a 5 point harness, as this will hold their bodies back, while the head gets flung full force ahead. When you turn your kid forward, they need to be big enough and mature enough for a booster seat using the cars own seat belt.
    If you can't get car seats that will allow for rear-facing as long as needed in your country, look to import, or demand car seat manufacturers make them available to you, as they are certainly available in other countries who are years ahead of you when it comes to car safety for children.

    • @creativeinspirations9508
      @creativeinspirations9508 5 років тому +8

      I don’t understand your information on 5 point harnesses. A safety belt is designed to lock on impact also holding back your body while your head moves forward. It is recommended in our country that you rear face as long as possible then use a 5 point harness until your child is of the maturity to sit safely in their booster the entire trip.

    • @SiljeHovDagsland
      @SiljeHovDagsland 5 років тому +6

      @@creativeinspirations9508 A childs head is big and heavy in proportion to their body, and their neck is not mature, as an adults neck. A regular safety belt will also not keep your body as still, there is some give there, which there is not in a 5 point harness. A Child needs to rear face at least until 4, but preferably longer, and then be in a high backed booster Seat when forward facing, or they risk internal decapitation if facing forward in a 5 point harness in a crash. Its important to remember that just because something is legal, does not make it safe, and many contries are way behind when it comes to proper Child safety in cars.

      As long as the car is stationary and the other vehicle is in a high velocity and in the circumstance the child is sitting rear faced, there are chances of fatal injuries. • @uniformedchaos5307
      @uniformedchaos5307 3 роки тому +6

      Chest buckles are only to position the harness so on impact it positions it over the chest. The chest clip DOES NOT protect a child from flying out of a car seat, which a lot of Americans don't actually know dangerously. Chest clips are only required in some countries, with some car seats. Europe doesn't use chest clips, instead they have their harnesses positioned in a way that doesn't require a chest clip as it is over the chest. They also have a law meaning the fire service can eject the child with one red button central to the seat, this is to prevent them having to fiddle with lots of buttons in the event of a crash/fire. Which, honestly makes more sense than adding a clip. But that probably means the crash test videoes are likely of tests done in europe.
      Hope this helps 🙏
