Crowd had never heard this now-epic song, had not yet been "soaked" by weeks of radio-play, and so was not really feeling it, could not sing along, etc... amusing, in a way...
I'm always going to love Brett Scallions, no matter what he looks like, sounds like, or what band he's in. But sometimes I miss the old Brett, so it's nice to watch videos like this one. Thanks for uploading!
I saw them when they were the house band at a Holiday Inn in Harrisburg, Pa. They were a cover band called "Reel to Real". They were insanely popular and then I saw them again as Fuel at Wonderful Wandas (where they were also the house band). They played Shimmer and the rest was history.
Brett wore that yellow T-shirt--from the 'Bubbling Brown Sugar' musical--at a LOT of live performances, incl. 1 year later at the RRHOF in Cleveland... now you know.
Was I at this concert? I went to so many during this era. I’ve seen Fuel a few times. Brett Scallion is definitely far from ugly. He was super hot. So was Carl. But as far as I am concerned Brett “owned” Fuel. His singing style. His looks…yeh he was “the look” for Fuel. It’s too bad the band kept breaking up. I had hoped Fuel would go the distance.
Phew y'all, remember these old concert days? You'd be rocking out for this band, they'd say something like "Hey, we got a new album coming out, and this is the first single etc." It'd be this, or something like "Sweet Child O Mine" or, if you're really lucky, something like Smells Like Teen Spirit. You'd listen to the song, lose your mind a little bit, and then spend the next couple hours standing in line at the merch table trying LIKE HECK to get a copy of the single at least before they stinking run out!! Heck nowadays, the kids pull out their phones and download the single without even having to leave the mosh pit. T-Shirt too! Anyway, bless the whole lot of these kids these days. That's a pretty easy deal. But I don't know, there was always something about a group of folks piling over to the merch and telling each other a MILLION times what that song they just heard meant to them! I feel like this song is a little like that. Believe that, we'd have the cassette...maybe CD, if it's later on...and we'd have the entire thing digested and memorized on the ride home. There'd be 6-7 of us in my older brother's Toyota Corolla, and we'd just bask in the beauty of music and maybe friendship. Good times!
I think that's a pretty bold statement though I do think he was a great drummer for Fuel. Having said that, his hard hitting drumming really brought their songs to life imo.
@Kozzy06 just got back from there show at mcguffys, and brett's voice is definitely not fucked up, there was not one thing wrong with his voice tonight, he was amazing
there hasnt been a rolling rock town fair in 5 years, due to Anheuser-Busch (makers of budweiser) buying out the Rolling Rock Brands and its Brewing Company and moving it to St. Louis.
@@melissaschaeffer3014 not entirely true...they moved to Heinz Field...the only year I didn't go because I didn't want to go downtown and deal with that bs...it wasn't a Town Fair at that point. Then RR was bought and moved

The good 'ole days. Been there, done that. So grateful that i grew up in the best decades of music - 80's and 90's. Those concerts. Good times!
Remember watching this on a black cable box for free ! It was great ! Ah the good old days .
Brett is back, and they are awesome.
Playing to the masses!
Damn this is good n glad I found :)
Memories are just where you laid them
Drag the waters 'til the depths give up their dead
What did you expect to find?
Was there something you left behind?
Don't you remember anything I said when I said
Don't fall away
And leave me to myself
Don't fall away
And leave love bleeding in my hands, in my hands again
Leave love bleeding in my hands, in my hands
Love lies bleeding
Oh, hold me now, I feel contagious
Am I the only place that you've left to go?
She cries her life is like
Some movie black and white
Dead actors faking lines
Over and over and over again she cries
Don't fall away
Leave me to myself
Don't fall away
Leave love bleeding in my hands, in my hands again
Leave love bleeding in my hands, in my hands
Love lies bleeding
And I wanted, you turned away
You don't remember, but I do
You never even tried
Don't fall away
Leave me to myself
Don't fall away
Leave love bleeding in my hands, in my hands again
Leave love bleeding in my hands, in my hands again
Leave love bleeding in my hands, in my hands again
Oh, oh, oh, oh

I used to study in Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA in 1996 to 1997. It is near Allentown where I used to go to do shopping at the mall.
His hair looks awesome! I have never seen anyone with hair like that in the early 2000s.

No the people who lived around it cried like babies from traffic jams and no parking

Was this back in the day that RR provided beer tents?
@utuber377 Check out videopimpdotorg, it should be a tutorial how to download and stuff
@jmd11185 Do you remember who produced the tape of this?
I'd let him on my tour bus.
The backup vocals kill this song.
WRONG. They make the song better and I wish he'd sing more.
