mole isn’t for everyone because it’s made from guajillo and ancho chiles which gives it a bitter/smoked flavor and depending from what Spanish speaking country they are from they cook with a type of “chocolate” but I love me some mole

Making batches daily is common. Just like salsa, guac and meats. There’s probably someone starting everything at night. That’s what my mom does we have tortillas and beans or whatever for breakfast.

Mole is my favorite but it’s an acquired taste, since it’s FULL of different ingredients like chocolate, garlic, bread, different nuts, different types of chilli’s

Brennen Taylor there’s a lot of people from that place in that area (Oaxaca) living in east Hollywood! i grew up in east Hollywood and on that same street (Santa Monica) there are stores that sell the meat and cheeses from Oaxaca, btw it’s east Hollywood not really what I’d consider east LA :’)

Mole is my jam. There are also different types of mole. There is sweet mole, spicy mole, and just like homemade mole. It does have a smoky taste but either way with some rice and chicken, oof. Delicious
