I wish I made a channel like this with him, he was crazy but funny as hell and loved eating, we hung out like 5 days a week and always went out to eat and walked around walmart in the middle of the night lol. You are gonna be glad you got all these videos some day!

@@maxhernandez1277it’s actually a traditional Mexican dish usually they just use the molcajete as the bowl they’ll put sizzling meat or shrimp ,cheese, onions , chile and you can eat with tortillas!
The grandpa actually pronounced "horchata" better than the grandson. But I do agree with the grandson that the Cabeza is the softest beef with Lengua the second most tender beef. The food looks really good but putting lettuce and tomato in a burrito or quesadilla is a straight up American gringo move, in Mexico they don't put lettuce in tacos or burritos.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Chinese Grandpa is the man!!! But seriously I love the idea of the series, exploring different cultures through food. You guys are lucky to have each other 😍
I'm from México, usually original quesadilla is only tortilla and cheese (Chihuahua or Manchego, or the Oaxaca cheese if you want the premium one) Now, for "Special" quesadillas, you get Lorenzas or Caramelos (adding grilled meat); QuesaBirrias (Adding birria meat and dipping the tortilla in the consomé of the birria); Sincronizadas (Adding slices of jam and avocado, and some times a sauce); Quesadilla al pastor (With pork/lamb meat that has been marinared in adobo.
I’m from New Mexico. Ours is the same. But we do burritos differently, it’s usually just the meat or the meat and beans maybe cheese. We focus on our salsa a lot more.

I was disappointed in how that Mexican food looked too. I'm also on the East coast, and we definitely have better options. Who doesn't put rice in a burrito?
@@nicktom52yeah its rare to find lettuce in tacos or burritos that happen to be "authentic" , the ideal taco only has meat, onions and cilantro with a choice of salsa, the burrito is the same with the addition of rice and beans , thats it nothing else if you are having a burrito from a restaurant with lettuce in it , i can almost bet that place is mediocre at best
I hope that you and your grandfather one day have the opportunity to try Mexican food in Mexico. The burritos, torta and the quesadilla here are very different. We better not even talk about las flautas al pastor.
I don't even know how your video came up on my algorithm or my feed, but I'm so glad it did! Your grandpa is so stinking cute and you are so adorable! I think it's so freaking beautiful the two of you spend time together like this! I never had a relationship with my grandparents and it's just so beautiful to see the two of you spending time together!
Your grandpa is adorable and I love how he pronounced horchata correctly (yours needs quite a bit of work lol). I'm from México and this food spread made me really sad, though. The US uses a lot of fillers on Mexican food and mess it up. Burritos and quesadillas shouldn't have lettuce, tomato, nor sour cream in them. Nor rice, at least these burritos didn't have that. The torta also had too many unbalanced fillers. Lime juice is essential for tacos de cabeza and lengua, to bring out the flavors properly and cut the fat. That birria looked dry and sad. Birria is best when eaten in a bowl like a soup/stew. Most US places make birria wrong, anyway. The flautas were missing avocado sauce and tomato sauce, and red chili sauce. Them being filled with al pastor meat is a deviation, but it sounds tasty. And these were just "garnachas" (and very limited), kind of like fast food, and nowhere near representative of our cuisine, even if they claim just one region of Mex. There's more, but I'll let it be for now lol.
Everything you gave your grandpa is like Mexican fast food/street food. It's really not sit down Mexican food. Go with him to a Mexican restaurant where they have hand-made tortillas, menudo, pozole, birria stew, machaca and eggs, chorizo and eggs, chile verde, etc. You can do another video trying all kinds of Mexican seafood dishes, too. Middle Eastern or Indian food would be interesting for your grandpa to try.
God its so refreshing to see an honest person give their honest opinion. Like, we wont get mad if people dont like some or all our dishes, i dont. However, we are in a time were people kiss ass and say they love everything. His honesty was refreshing.
