Thank you so much for making these detailed instructions - They were instrumental in helping me make an outdoor kitchen counter cover. I bought and used your basting tape and I can't stop talking about HOW WONDERFUL this worked. The double stick tape was strong and flexible to move the fabric again if it needed to be readjusted. The tape was strong and I didn't need to pin anything; definitely made the project go faster. This video and the one about the Full Flat Felled Seam Construction was on my pc during my sewing sessions so i could refer back to it several times. I now have that seam process down and love the look. I couldn't have done this project without you! Thanks team.
We're so glad to hear that the instructions and basting tape worked perfectly for your project! It's always amazing to see how little tools can make a big difference.
Thank you for this tutorial. Ive been kept awake at night wondering the best way to make a pattern sham before cutting into the expensive uv proof fabric and you have made it look so very easy! thanks again from South Africa!! :)
I just happened on this video. I love that Angela doesn't pin anything in place. Sewing videos are so relaxing to me until I see 100 pins on a project. I sew like this. ❤
I’ve sewn a couple of these for patio chair covers and they look great. But, when I decided to add the pads for under the feet, it would no longer stretch over the chair to get it on. So I ended up putting the feet on the front legs only, and now it will fit. Keep in mind adding the feet reduces the size of the bottom and can make getting it on the chair more difficult
Thanks for this video, very clear instructions. This will be my first sewiNG project, can someone recommend a heavy canvas fabric to use here? I want my covers to stay in place in strong winds and do not accumulate pools of water on them.Thank you.
I want to buy the fabric to make my chair covers. There are different kinds of fabrics for the same purpose. Marine, outdoor, patio furniture, awning etc. Which one should I get? Thanks
Would you know how to take patterning to some kind of digital layout? That way I could keep my designs. Thanks! Saved me a real problem in my first big bag project.
My comment is totally off-topic but I have noticed Angela's beautiful ring in close-ups in a previous video and saw she was wearing it again here (visible around 23:50). Could you ask her where she bought it? My mother loves Turkish jewelry and her birthday is coming up. I know she'd love a ring like that. Thanks!
The nice thing about patterning materail "Dura Skrim" is that it is not very expensive. So... I usually get enough to cover all sides of the chair an a little extra. Since it is rather wide, at 74", you can sometimes get two patterns done along the width of the Dura Skrim. I would get 3 yards for a chair like this.
@@SailriteDIY Thank you! I've started to add materials to my cart, but I can't determine if the printed Sunbrella from the "Elements" collection would work. I would love to avoid a solid color. I saw some custom covers online from the Peyton Granite, so I think I could get away with it.

I was wondering if the seams of these covers would need to be taped, to prevent water getting in? Thank you so much for your videos.

She got it at the China Buffet restaurant in Columbia City, IN
Thank you for asking for me :)
lovely scissors
Yes
It would be nice if your listed the product parts/numbers that you give on the video.
Is there a good way to estimate the yardage of patterning material required based on the furniture measurements?

It’s Sail-Rite. . . . . . Not Sayre-Rite !
My works too. Used woodprix handbooks and build it with no problems.
