Thank you for giving this little kitty his last forever home. Even if it was for just a few hours. And to the dedicated bikers that also went out of their way to help the turtle and dogs, you did great.

Eff-Zee was clearly in massive amounts of pain. It was pretty clear from start that she wasn’t likely to make it, but all that effort put into making her last moments on Earth pleasant... You are unmistakably a hero.

That kitty in the first one...that was more than just the perforated abdomen. I've seen animals, both in-person and in videos, with heat stroke, and he was showing all the signs. Poor thing. Rest in peace, Eff Zee.
DaZebraffe HBC cases are never easy :( in his case i agree, i think heat stroke was extremely likely given the circumstance that he would have been in too much pain to move and on hot concrete..panting with cats, especially that heavy tends to mean something has gone extremely wrong and likely in extreme pain.. I’m glad someone found this guy and took him to the vet even if he didn’t make it, he passed with some dignity and love. But if you work in the veterinary industry as I do, you know that strays with issues often dont get full diagnostics and people just want a basic idea..if prognosis is bad or treatment for what they find first is expensive then people dont find out what else is wrong, just euthanize. Its the sad reality of our work....
the cat seemed older also which would be a factor in euthanisation. My old cat tigger had a perforated abdomen too (I believe from memory) after getting run over and he had to be put to sleep because the extent of surgery required would be very stressful for him

(Warning this contains ramblings) I don't know the law there but in the UK if a dog runs out in front of you and it hasn't got a lead on it the owner is then at fault NO I'S OR BUTS. Also it has to be reported to the police but I can't swear to it. That biker did right making sure the dog was ok but I can't help but feel somewhat pissed off at the owner of the injured pet for failing to train it NOT TO RUN OUT ON THE ROAD!.

I think it was hit by a vehicle. That's why X-ray showed the cat had perforation and air in abdomen. I saw cats breath like that when they fall from height and are injured. They got traumatic pneumothorax.
the cat had holes in his abdomen which could be treated but the biker choose not to. but hey, it was a stray cat and stray cats do cause an impact in local wild life. so i guess it was better of anyway.
I just love this. I have been rescuing for many years and driving my bike. It amazes me how many souless people would drive right past that cat , turtle or dog and never stop to help. When I was 8 1/2 months pregnant driving my bike I stopped to help a large turtle but had nothing but my tennis shoe to scoot him off the road and man oh man he turned around and got ahold of my shoe so there I was pregnant with a turtle hanging off the end of my leg but managed to get him to safety. I applaud you because to be a real human you have to have humanity. Keep doing what you are doing because your karma will always be good.
Been a Harley driver since I was 15, owned my own. I did grocery shopping, laundry , etc..on that bike but now recreational..Love riding but cant stand people to busy texting .

DaZebraffe HBC cases are never easy :( in his case i agree, i think heat stroke was extremely likely given the circumstance that he would have been in too much pain to move and on hot concrete..panting with cats, especially that heavy tends to mean something has gone extremely wrong and likely in extreme pain.. I’m glad someone found this guy and took him to the vet even if he didn’t make it, he passed with some dignity and love. But if you work in the veterinary industry as I do, you know that strays with issues often dont get full diagnostics and people just want a basic idea..if prognosis is bad or treatment for what they find first is expensive then people dont find out what else is wrong, just euthanize. Its the sad reality of our work....
the cat seemed older also which would be a factor in euthanisation. My old cat tigger had a perforated abdomen too (I believe from memory) after getting run over and he had to be put to sleep because the extent of surgery required would be very stressful for him

(Warning this contains ramblings) I don't know the law there but in the UK if a dog runs out in front of you and it hasn't got a lead on it the owner is then at fault NO I'S OR BUTS. Also it has to be reported to the police but I can't swear to it.
That biker did right making sure the dog was ok but I can't help but feel somewhat pissed off at the owner of the injured pet for failing to train it NOT TO RUN OUT ON THE ROAD!.

I think it was hit by a vehicle. That's why X-ray showed the cat had perforation and air in abdomen. I saw cats breath like that when they fall from height and are injured. They got traumatic pneumothorax.
the cat had holes in his abdomen which could be treated but the biker choose not to. but hey, it was a stray cat and stray cats do cause an impact in local wild life. so i guess it was better of anyway.
lil sweaty perforations would have needed to be treated immediately. We dont know if it was too late or he didnt have the money.
So not only are bikers f'in cool riding their bikes, they are compassionate and caring too. Excellent husband and father material right there, ladies.

I just love this. I have been rescuing for many years and driving my bike. It amazes me how many souless people would drive right past that cat , turtle or dog and never stop to help. When I was 8 1/2 months pregnant driving my bike I stopped to help a large turtle but had nothing but my tennis shoe to scoot him off the road and man oh man he turned around and got ahold of my shoe so there I was pregnant with a turtle hanging off the end of my leg but managed to get him to safety. I applaud you because to be a real human you have to have humanity. Keep doing what you are doing because your karma will always be good.

Been a Harley driver since I was 15, owned my own. I did grocery shopping, laundry , etc..on that bike but now recreational..Love riding but cant stand people to busy texting .
I am truly very sorry about your loss, that is very sad. I am actually giving up riding after all these years because to many twats would rather talk and text then watch and drive....And the tennis shoes..That was many years ago before I purchased my Harley boots..never leave home without them.
