Yes, don't clean out the wrecks too early, you do need to grab some some chests early but always be thinking of leaving chests to be opened later in the game.
The exact centre of the map seems to be at 500:0:500 which is very near your default landing location. Lake levels rise to 25 so you want to be at least 26 height before you build your base. Food growers don't generate Biomass, but you need plenty of Eggplants for Fertiliser of course.
I didn't see you mention the top of the rock labyrinth, it has A LOT of super alloy scattered around. I always put a standard hab with a door next to wrecks. You can fit 4 storage containers in there so you can not only use it to "come up for air" while searching the wrecks, but you can transport all the goodies out and store them. Once they are full, you can just make trips to transport everything back to base. I also make a point of building anything that I dont need to direcly interact with, (heaters, drills, ect) near, but not attached to my base. Makes it easier to utilize the space more effectively and keep things clean. When building bases with larger rooms, I always run central corridors with the basic square building piece and attach the larger structures to them, it keeps the base from becomming a labyrinth as you add onto it. If you are adding a room that with contact the corridor at multiple points, you may want to add a square section as a spacer so the entire wall doesn't open up. You can also use internal walls to fix this, but using a spacer help to keep your base from looking like a big block.
My tips are get the best backpack and tank. Carry 3 iron, 2 titanium, 1 silicon for a hab and door. Make an effort to scavenge wrecks fairly early to get seeds, and working toward the food grower is important to do before you run low on food.
If you end up doing an advanced guide: Something the game doesn't really show very well is Drone priorities go from lowest (-1) to Highest (5). Drone automation can get complicated in the late game and can be tough to figure out what's going on with bigger systems. Plus knowing there is a -1 for syncs like Shredders, Trade Rockets, or Super Alloy Outposts is super helpful to ensure those resources go into storage or crafting first.
@JadePGSurvival I grabbed the game when you did an early access of it. it's been an enjoyable watch to see this game come together from a small studio. i'll enjoy your coverage of it
A great way to get lots of super alloy is to use two auto miners and an auto crafter in the aluminum hills area. I have entire closets filled with just super alloy now
I just got this game, and I have a lake forming now. Rockets are really useful. Don't build on the hill by the wreck like I did. Not enough room lol. I'm moving my stuff to a new base on the flat area.
That's where I built too bc I wasnt sure how high water would rise. Up on the hill by the first wreck in front of the cave. My base is very vertical bc there's not much room up there.
@@JSmiley21x You can build above the void, it's not a problem, no need to make it vertical. Personally, my base is above the starting lake, was it a good idea ? Maybe not, but it looks beautiful and it works.
No, you don't want to let all the variables increase at the same pace. Take a GOOD look at the progression in the unlock screen to decide which machines you need first and how to quicker unlock them. My start is to set up windmills and Drills before starting on a base, and I don't care that the area I set them up in an area that will be flooded later. That doesn't happen in a long time. You want the Drills(3 or 4 at least) going as soon as possible as it quickly unlocks even larger air tank and backpack. Then you want Heat. Because Heat unlocks Vegetube T2, and you need that to produce enough O2 to unlock the Food Grower. (Beans produce the least effective food, but you will want to have multiple Food Growers with them anyway. You want Mushrooms also. Beans are the best for food. Squash is needed in crafting later, and also the second best food. Plant Squash if you don't have Beans, otherwise they can wait a while) Blueprint Chips. I set up a Blueprint Screen in the shelter or even on the bare ground as soon as I find the chips so that I can unlock the blueprints immediately. No need to fill up the backpack with them. Remember the CTRL-key. Ctrl+Click in a crafting menu and you won't leave the menu so you can craft faster. Ctr+Clicking on an item in inventory will move ALL the items of the same type to the other inventory. Biodome T1. Just SKIP IT. It only produces O2, and uses a lot more power than a Grass Grower(which produces nearly the same amount of air, and Biomas) The info in the screen can also be found in the Unlock screen as soon as you start producing Biomass. BioDome T2 and the Biolab, though, those you need. Build Algae Generators as soon as they become available. You'll need water deep enough to cover your character, though.
@@rb2268 I was there too for a bit. Just try to explore enough to find the little plant things (vegtubes I think) and get them set up in your base. You'll need to get your oxygen up high enough to unlock the food grower plus you'll need to explore a little to find the seeds you'll need to plant as well. Focus on that and hopefully you'll pull out of the death spiral I was on
I was for sure in a death spiral. Only used food for exploring. If I was managing the base, I would let myself pass out to save food and pick up my stuff.
If it has not changed the blue chests have random stuff when you open them based on your tech level so leave them till you are higher tech

Can’t wait to jump into this!!!! Thanks buddy!
Good, clear starter guide. Much appreciated and many thanks.

Hi, buddy.Hope you're keeping well remind me of subnautica but on a planet 😊
I just got this game, and I have a lake forming now. Rockets are really useful. Don't build on the hill by the wreck like I did. Not enough room lol. I'm moving my stuff to a new base on the flat area.
Sounds like you're having the same experience I did. Once I rebuilt I left a bunch of drills, windmills, and heaters in my now abandoned building
That's where I built too bc I wasnt sure how high water would rise. Up on the hill by the first wreck in front of the cave. My base is very vertical bc there's not much room up there.

Gives a little bit of a Subnautica vibe. Without the water

It just annoys me that materials don't stack in the inventory
They do with Mods.
Great guide / info Jade :)
Are you Ghost from Call of Duty? Because you have his voice exactly, or Gaz before him. Thanks for the video anyway, it's great and informative.
The message screen makes more sense in 1.0 since it is telling the story.
When I save from the game, after exiting the game, either the screen turns black or I fall from a height, and nothing can be done, please help me
The volume of the game is drowning out your audio. Its very difficult to hear you.
Well this is embarrassing.... It was my game audio playing in the background lol. Great video!
These vids tell me what to do but not how to do it. I can't get past the beginning and just surviving.
It can be rough. What are you having trouble with?
I can barely find enough food pack to stay alive. Im always on my last (found) food pack!

build drills, vegtubes with plants in it, and check the spacecrafts; those have the best loot.
Controlls still sucks, right camera is so slow, and this has not changed sense early acsess. So...im not playing it again.
While the controller controls were odd, the mkb wasn't too bad after adjusting my fov back to 60. Changing my fov made my camera wonky.
I play with mouse keyboard and I couldn't put the game down for days. Maybe it's just not your type of game.
I play with a controller and don't have issues , sure they could add it so we could adjust sensitivity and button mapping
