Its sad that they did not earn as much money as they should have, but they certainly made the game Ridley Scott original director of the movie and David Giler( they guy who actualy created and drawn first alien) would be proud of
I keep coming back to it... Alien Isolation is a timeless masterpiece. What an incredible story, filled with details and links to the original. Not to speak of the extremely intense and horrifying experience as you try to survive.. I am certain that this is more of an experience than just a 'game'. A huge thank you to the team that made this possible.

You can't judge the game that hasn't been released yet, based on another company screw up and one mistake that CA made (Rome II that is). All I hear is "Rome II was a mess, they will screw this up too, boo hooo" well they didn't screw it up and I love them for making this great game
It would of been so cool if as well as the 20th Century Fox, Creative Assembly and SEGA logos on the loading screen, it had the SEEGSON boot screen (at 2:01). I don't think that was ever even used in the game, the one on the access rewire stations is different to that.
I know this may seem as beating the dead horse and I guess it kinda is but I disagree with people saying they shouldn't even bother making a new game. Yes, it's better to end it before it's crap but it already IS crap. If you want to end it with some dignity left, you can atleast give it a little bit of its dignity back. Just imagine it. SINGLE alien being menacing again and not just a slasher monster. How awesome is that?
Always felt the alien vs predator and colonial marines despite there pros and cons did not give the true feeling of alien. I am hoping this will give that feeling. Always love to play horror survival games

I was thinking the same thing, it feels a bit... Cheap. They should've set it on the planet of the second movie, that would've been better. It would've been awesome playing as Newt I think.
This game wasn't perfect (the overly long working joe synthetic sequences added 3-4 hours of unnecessary and drawn out padding towards the latter third of the game) but boy did they NAIL the Alien parts & the Atmosphere. Perfection is hard to achieve but this was and probably will remain the best Alien game we'll see in a very long time. Amazing stuff. Now all we need is a sequel... All the tech is there, it's built. The AI & the environment assets can be reused/touched upon in addition to newer environments. You also wouldn't need to get the cast of Alien on to do DLC that cost a fortune to make. The costs would be much lower and the potential profit much higher and right now, the "disappointing" million+ sales figures & profit margins are what is stopping them from making a sequel.

I'm confused. They said "when the Nostromo went missing, who would go looking for it?". The Nostromo was destroyed immediately upon Ripley's departure. The single alien on board went along with her. ACM broke the story until it was unrecognizable. I am curious to see how this new game is going to explain itself.

I enjoy the multiplayer aspect of ACM, for example, but will not lie to myself or anyone else by trying to say that the story in singleplayer mode makes sense. It is utterly silly and no different than any poorly written fanfiction out there. This game, thus far, seems to be following the same route. Might be fun to play, won't know till we see it, but the story already seems just as poorly shoehorned :)

I never wanted to play this game. I did not give it a 1st thought, let alone a 2nd. Every Alien game was terrible and not worth looking at, why would this be any better🤷♂️ Yet somehow i brought it. I remember at the time collecting platinum trophies so that may have been why, and i remember it was on sale. This game is easily the best movie to game translation period. It is the very best "sequel" to the 1979 movi alien and could hold up on cinima easily. One of my favorite games of all time and to date the only horror game to actually make me scream out loud. Spoiler... late in this game i remember a part i just said nope... i was affraid, so very scared... you see i had just dropped into a corridoor and i meeded to work .t way into the room. I was standing in the only light source to my front and back, the darkness was endless... I really really did not want to step into that blackness using only my map and peeping machine to find my way, but i had no choice, so i stepped off and eventually i finished the game

Infact the first draft of Aliens she had a scene with Ripley and completely resented her for abandoning her! She lived in Wesconson and died at 66. I'm sure if she had a job that led her to space, Burke would have brought it up. Else only a rescue crew would be looking for Ripley! You already hurt continuity! And I'll admit, this game DOES look awesome...so did Colonial Marines first trailers. But as close as the designs and premise is, why didn't they just make a simulator for the first movie?

In fact, everything that happens in the first film suggests Weyland Yutani already knew full well what Ellen Ripley and her colleagues where getting themselves into.

If there is just one Alien an nothing else that's going to be a problem for most players. An most of all I really hate those sign online nonsense in order to play it. You delete it once from your computer an the site doesn't allow you to play again. You're locked onto the mercy of company that might not be in business with a game you can't play - even the old games gave a person that option of choice to play offline an save your progress. These days most games have this stupid nonsense of needing online access to even save your progress. That may be fine for multiplayer but not single player type of play. I want the option of having a choice an I do prefer to have the option to play offline. I of course doubt the developers will consider this being that's the norm these days; nonetheless, for once perhaps they'll consider this instead of just locking us onto a game that would wind up in the trash bin out of frustration. Don't disappoint us again by making another Colonial Marines that hype game trailers an then present something entirely different.
Just because a previous studio fucked up an episode of this franchise doesn't mean that nobody cares about it anymore. It even gives a really good reason for studios to try new approaches of what an "ALIEN" game experience should feel like.

Nobody knew Ellen Ripley had blown up the Nostromo and killed the Alien until 57 years later.
