@@SimonInsanity ut i think that's who he is as a person as well. But he often times has to deal with people that has either no idea what they are doing, or just been doing it very badly their entire career. If you look at master chef or Master Chef Junior, he is a mentor. cause these are people that doesn't have the actual experience or the expertise of a chef, and thus is more patient with them. kitchen nightmares, another one, is where he's out here, spending money to help restaurants overcome its bad habits. thus he is overly critical and examines everything. he has to, cause it is not a mentoring moment, its a business analysis moment. @@phil_matic you have to remember, it's the restaurant business. People who take the effort to go to a Michelin star restaurant don't expect a spam dish. He's never ever snubbed good food though, and a nice home cooked meal will beat a filet mignon anyway.
Scramble Jason. Just so you don’t use scrabbled in real life and someone laughs at you 👊🏻 scrabbled eggs makes sense in a way though, mixing them up like letters
Watched a mini documentary on Spam, the ingredients are a very high grade of pork and spices. Gained an entirely new respect for it. “Good show ol’ man”
Why is it when i use lots of salty spam with lots of salty butter and lots of salt i always get an overly salty dish? But Gordon fucking Ramsay does it, it's golden?
He is doing a French style scramble egg which has a consistency different texture and consistency than "Diner Style" scrambled eggs. Diner Style scrambled eggs are supposed to be light and fluffy with large curds. And they are a lot more forgiving to make. French style is creamy with small curds, requires constant stirring, constant temperature control, and can very easily be screwed up.

@Joe H Indeed, like the hotels, and restaurants owners with unacceptable standards, in some of those cases, is even hazardous and deserved to not be scolded at like a child, but with the rage of an adult to another at the negligence, ignorance, willful or not, that could possibly even kill a person. If there are situations where bad business is out of their control (location for one which led to one of the places that actually impressed Gordon to shut down because no one showed up still.) When things are good, or in videos just like this, there he's generally having a good time, having laughs, jokes, and even learning from those around him, Gordon generally respects people unless they show lack of care for the satisfaction, health, and safety of the customer. If people pay for at LEAST decent service, they should not get crap instead, and have their time wasted for it. It's the "You can do _better_ that *this*" situation, hence the anger. Overall, I love me a happy Gordon, and a Gordon that gives the snack down to those who deserve it, and hopefully makes them better for it.
@Joe H On that I strongly agree on, and we have a few, or rather a LOT of footage demonstrating exactly that. A part of the appeal as well isn't just seeing someone that's mad, but goes after a flawed system, incredibly disgusting restaurants that anyone witness to it, would likely never return, complaints about their service, and food, and yet nothing changes, they get away with it, until he shows up and his hand is forced, to make them accept the change into true *proffesionals* and to look themselves in the mirror, sometimes this works, but other times they eventually go back to their ways, and their business collapses, in other extreme cases, they get straight up shutdown. It may sound weird, or exaggerated, but it's almost like he's a defender, a food vigilante of sorts in those very cases, and who wouldn't when put in that position?
In this ep he told Gordon his dish was definitely seasoned when cooking it. The guests said that it was a tad salty and Gordon told him "you called it". Definitely respect!
I am just an home mom, but I love spam too. I slice it and fry it with slice tomatoes, adding a touch of Tabasco ( or any other hot sauce) then I add the eggs in and just break them a little and let it set.
All of these just demonstates how well he knows his own craft, ot only in the kitchen but also the finances.
All I can think about when I hear Hot Ones is how Gordon literally drank almost a whole bottle of Pepto Bismol.
Wait really I sipped a tiny bit and gagged
Followed by cooking eggs, lol
Still hasn't had to poop
Shittin’ coal the next mornin’!
Pepto bismol is the good stuff... Gaviscon makes me gag like a 10inch black mamba

It’s medically legal under an ounce, but still illegal. But cops will not arrest you for under an ounce regardless of if you have a doctors recommendation. They won’t even confiscate it, time been caught with between a gram and 3/4 ounce before and the cops were like “uh-uh pal we don’t want that just show us your license please” it’s hella chill out here on Maui.

I would've never expected Gordon to be a fan of anything made in a can, but man this looked so good
@Kris Roberts I know he is... but knowing Gordon and how critical he is about certain things, I figured he would be a hater of Spam
I dont think he has any problems woth it.. he will probabalh have a problem woth it if he sees it in restaurants cause you know paying customer doesnt deserve a can foods lmao.. whats the point of having restaurant right if serve can foods
@@Justin-yy6kj A good point. There's a huge difference between cooking for yourself or friends, and cooking for business. If you were to go into a high end restaurant and see Spam being charged for ridiculous prices, you'd probably have an issue. It's all in the context.
REMEMBER Gordon says his favorite burger & fries is from a fastfood joint (In N Out). He’s not stuckup about food, as long as it tastes amazing.
He was so inspired he created his own Burger restaurant in Vegas. (And fastfood place called Fish N Chips with shakes.)
.
@@phil_matic you have to remember, it's the restaurant business. People who take the effort to go to a Michelin star restaurant don't expect a spam dish. He's never ever snubbed good food though, and a nice home cooked meal will beat a filet mignon anyway.
Legend has it, Justin is still weeping by the shore with his Gordon-cooked spam-in-a-can
His half eaten spam can at that😂 I was like... so he didn’t hear that was for Justin huh
I love the relationship between Gordon and his camera man lmfao
It really warms my heart at how genuinely thrilled Gordon looks to be feasting on a childhood comfort food - done Gordon's way! Cheers!
Gordon: “Don’t blink, gonna be the fastest scrabbled eggs.. literally”
5 minutes later: still scrabbling.😂
Lol yeah
he didn't put his pan over the fire!
Scrambled eggs should actually take a few minutes. You keep the temp low to not scorch the eggs
Scramble Jason. Just so you don’t use scrabbled in real life and someone laughs at you 👊🏻 scrabbled eggs makes sense in a way though, mixing them up like letters
Yeah that was a long time. I prefer my style of scrambled eggs. Wet, mushy, purée, is not my idea of scrambled eggs.
Gordon ramsey grew up poor eating spam. Respect.
Grew up to be one of the most inspirational people
alot of folks grow up like that
How excactly is that impressive?
@Mitchell Nova i eat shit food aswell. Do i get a medal

Why does watching Ramsey make me feel like I'm late for something...Slow down bro..it's scrambled eggs, relax. Have some Hash. Lol
Its the pace pro chefs especially 3michelin starred work at
Decades of working the dinner rush'll do that to ya.
He's a cook, working in a kitchen will do that to a man. Fuck, I only worked at a Domino's and I still have trouble turning off kitchen mode
Yeah
He is doing a French style scramble egg which has a consistency different texture and consistency than "Diner Style" scrambled eggs.
Diner Style scrambled eggs are supposed to be light and fluffy with large curds. And they are a lot more forgiving to make.
French style is creamy with small curds, requires constant stirring, constant temperature control, and can very easily be screwed up.
I’ve been cooking spam and scrambled eggs like that for a long time. Ever since I learned how to make Gordon’s scrambled eggs. It’s so delicious. It’s cool to learn Gordon grew up on spam to.

Love that Gordon Ramsay grew up with spam.
It's the reason why he went into cooking
In the UK at the time when Gordon Ramsay was growing up SPAM was very common, although it's not as popular now.
@Barry Boppins SPAM, Scampi those are late 20th century processed food in UK, so he's not even lying because it does make sense since he live in that age
Paul Ji why?

He just exposed the camera dude for being on tinder 😂😂😂😭
Did you match with him?

The cameraman said it best. Not cool. Saying he’s weeping and all that just makes Gordon look like an ass.
Its because the guy is a dork. and Gordon thinks he can tease people who cant defend themselves. I bet if someone made a joke that made Gordon look pathetic. He would try to end their lives forever.

Check this out! ua-cam.com/video/MutyqigE7ug/v-deo.html
This is why he is my favorite Chef in the world!!! So humble. Spent about 48 hours deep diving in his backstory and he has overcame so much.
Damn this guy must've earned Gordon's respect to be able to say "you need more" referring to the butter without getting shouted at
In this ep he told Gordon his dish was definitely seasoned when cooking it.

You can easily remove the skin of tomatoes with a fork before adding eggs. Very tasty with Pita bread. Adding scallions makes it even more delicious!
