The lyrics are more literal but there's still that emotionally instrumentation that Lex fully embraces.
Good point. Most reaction channels overanalyse the lyrics and content of the song rather than the actual musicianship and emotion of rock and metal. The lyrics to this are so vague anyway, its really just an excuse for Chris to belt out his power vocals.
Lyrics may be secondary, but other than a handful of rap artists and Zak De La Rocha, Cornell’s lyrics and command of the language are way beyond most hiphop.
I Am The Highway!!! Brad will like!
Lmao, Brad has just the worst timing on his pauses.
You have no idea.
You definitely need to check him out with Temple of the Dog. Also had Eddie Vetter (Pearl Jam) singing with him.
I agree, #HungerStrike
It was basically Pearl Jam with Cornell added on. Although, Mike Cameron from Temple Of The Dog was also in both Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.
Yes!
*Vedder
@@jhamilton1007 Temple of the Dog was a super group made up of the best Seattle had to offer at the time. They were raising money for the family of Andrew Wood, the lead singer of Mother Love Bone who died of an overdose. The surviving members of Mother Love Bone would go on to become Pearl Jam with Eddie Vedder taking over lead vocals. There was just the one album and concert.
Love how Brad likes the more chill guitar riffs and Lex I think would totally had been a headbanger rocker back in the day
Nail In My Head I think is the lyric. I think they are referencing Frankenstein
They did do a collab. Temple of the Dog: Layne Stayley, Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder
I love how your faces rarely match - when something crazy happens Lex smiles and claps and Brad is like wtf with the wrinkles on his forehead alone.......
I love that almost as much as how you don't understand each other so often....... :)
peace!
Soooo miss him...such a powerful voice, vocals you feel in your spine!
He performed this and the sound at the end just as good in concert!! ♥️ the reaction!
One of the greatest combinations ever. Rage and Chris. Wish they could have done more. RIP Chris.
Her reaction to that famous ending was so adorable 😊. I was feeling the same way lol, I must have replayed it like 10x the first time I heard it
I lived this reaction. Brad's face compared to Lex's arms out. So fun. Loved the song. Loved you both.
I like her reactions to these, almost seems like she likes Audioslave as much as I do
This song hit me a different way than it did most people. My mother had a heart transplant back about the time this song came out. The lyrics represented it perfectly. Built with stolen parts a telephone in my heart somebody gave me a priest. After her surgery she had a hard time learning how to adjust. Nail in my hand from my creator you gave me life now you gave me life now show me how to live. The lyrics go much deeper but I don't have time to explain. This is a collaboration between Sound Garden and Rage against the machine awesome song
One of the my beautiful voices ever! RIP Chris
The scenes of the old Challenger being chased by cops is from the movie Vanishing Point from 1971.
Lex is FUUN. I wish she could have been at the Audioslave and Soundgarden concerts I saw in the 90s and 00s
RIP Chris! You will never be forgotten. 🙏🏻
Everyone gets distracted by how unique Chris's voice is. But his lyrics are so good.
Not sure if you know, but Audioslave is a supergroup with members from Rage against the machine (!) and Soundgarden .
News of Chris passing away... Brought tears in my eyes 😭
We miss you CC love from India 🇮🇳
This is my favorite Audioslave song, and one of my favorite all-time videos. Morello is such a beast.
Great reaction!! You guys are fun to watch.
Layne did indeed do a collab with Chris Cornell and Mark Arm (Mudhoney). Check out the song "Right Turn". Project was called Alice Mudgarden.
Drummer is badass too. Plenty of space and tons of swag💛
That is Chris tapping his throat for sound! Creative as hell!
“I’m gonna blast this in the house.” The proper way to listen Lex…turn up!
BE YOURSELF, is good
