Hey just wanted to say that I love all of your videos. Currently in Biochemistry, and this is helping me out so much. You go more in depth than my professor but at the same time it is much easier to grasp! Thank you
@@thefenerbahcesk4156 I am doing a Biochemistry degree and we were told we have to know the mechanism. The key point is to understand the principles underneath (how it works, why it works that way, understand the flow of electrons) it so that you can be able to "solve" other mechanisms as well. Hope this is helpful :)
You've succeeded in making a semester where I'm taking PathMicro, Organic, AND Biochem seem just a little bit clearer. I can't explain how much sleep your videos have saved me and I can never thank you enough for the clarity your lecture bring. Seriously. You're awesome.
You are legitimately saving my grade right now! All of your videos are perfectly balanced with diagrams and knowledge. You don't overload us with minor details. Very well done!! Thank you so much
I literally watched 5 other videos and read the text on this topic only to get more confused than I started. THANK YOU!!!! I finally understand it clearly. By far the best explanation found!! You're always the best :)
I've watched a lot of lectures on the internet, read a lot of books in my lifetime. This is one of the best explanations I have ever seen in any subject, clearly spoken, not many mistakes and summarizes the "big picture" so at the end of the day you are taking home the right message. subscribing
I hope you are interacting with college students (be it TA, prof, etc.) because your explanations are always concise and clear! You've helped me with my general biochem course on a level no one else has ever! I appreciate your work.
You sir have officially entered my list of "people I'd MUCH rather pay my tuition to". When my prof went over this, I was so overwhelmed. Now I at least feel I know the basics of what's going on here. If I survive biochem it's probably gonna be all thanks to you. Thank you so much for these videos 💙
Please come teach at my school. At this rate, you're the reason why I passed / did well in orgo, immunology and hopefully now biochemistry. So helpful as always & thanks a million from a desperate college student.
Amazing the clarity with which you explained this - It really helps that you explain each step and why it happens instead of just describing what happens. I can't explain how poorly and confusingly my lecturer taught this.
I wish I had seen your videos earlier when I was taking some of my other hard science courses! I am taking biochemistry now and doing MCAT prep and you make the concepts so clear. Thank you so much for these videos and keep on spreading your knowledge! :)
My teacher doesn't lecture, just tells us to teach ourselves out of the book then quizzes us for the entire class period. I need someone to explain things to me so this is literally saving me 👏 Thank you so much
I watched this a while ago and did understand then I forgot and I could not manage on my own for over an hour, then I watch this movie and in 10 min it is clear again! Amazing thanks!
You provide the best explanations on the most confusing topics... Thankyou so much for making learning easy.... Keep doing the good work... You really are being highly blessed by the students that get your help through the lecture.... Keep making videos on every little topic related to biochemistry and biotechnology....
Thank you again I will watch this vid many times, even though I understood it from the first time, but you explain so beautifully and clear that makes me want to watch it again. it is so fun when u understand. thank you
Hey just wanted to agree with everyone else and send my deepest thanks to you! This was three exam questions & I can confidently say I don't know what I would do without this video along with your other biochem videos. You rock!
Amazing explanation, u know how to teach and explain. You should have also mentioned the Pka of Histidine and how it is increased making it a strong base.
Dude, You are legend. I wish you were still active and had your channel alive so you could make more videos. It's shame that you gone, nevertheless wish you all the best with your career.
Thanks for the video, it helped tremendously. I was curious if in step 2 whether the lone pair on nitrogen (instead of the N-C bond electrons) would attack the hydrogen on histidine. The arrow pushing just looks a little awkward going to the hydrogen instead of back on the nitrogen.
I feel like I should pay you my tuition fees instead of paying it to my university, so sad can't do it. thanks mate helped safe my life from biochem

+kyle clark Hey Kyle, thats wonderful to hear! Study hard and youll love biochem, its an awesome subject! :)
Did you guys have to memorize the whole mechanism?

What degree do you have now?
You are better than 99% of profs in the world. Thanks a lot for your videos!!

Seriously.
You're awesome.
did you survive?
@@adesuwaomede7803no response = nope
a 15 minute video did a better job of explaining this than a 2 hour lecture from my professor. bless you my dude
hands down, you deserve a trophy for teaching this! Thank you!
sincerely, from a student attending an overly overrated high ranking university!
my favorite educational 1.25x speed channel
...lolz... I guess I'm not alone.

Explaining mechanisms does not get better than this. Thank you so so much!!!

OMG, just saved me!!! Been trying to find other resources to explain this process for weeks! Thanks so much!

This was a true masterpiece, if I've ever seen one
Amazing the clarity with which you explained this - It really helps that you explain each step and why it happens instead of just describing what happens. I can't explain how poorly and confusingly my lecturer taught this.
Your videos are awesome! I struggled with biochemistry but your videos are really helping me, it makes easier for me to understand the concepts.
Thank you for simplifying such a complicated mechanism!

hey girl hope youre a successful doctor/med student right now
My teacher doesn't lecture, just tells us to teach ourselves out of the book then quizzes us for the entire class period. I need someone to explain things to me so this is literally saving me 👏 Thank you so much
Thank you so much, so quick and clear ! It made this processus go from really scary to actually very interesting :)
much clearer than my notes~~~ thanks for your effort
thank you so much, what a life saver. this mechanism looked impossible to understand, but not anymore thank youuuuu.
In step 3 you should have an amine group leaving and deprotonating the histidine, not an amide.
+Hank Hill I was confused about this for a second. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed! He did a fantastic job otherwise
Amine vs Amide what's the difference?
I watched this a while ago and did understand then I forgot and I could not manage on my own for over an hour, then I watch this movie and in 10 min it is clear again! Amazing thanks!
Your teaching style is amazing ...thank you!
First video in hm... 100 videos that I see and now I understand, then thank you bro!
