Ninja Nerds!
In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be presenting on the Mitochondria Structure & Function. During this lecture we will be continuing our discussion of the cell and the organelles that make up the cell. For this lesson, we will be talking about the mitochondria or the powerhouse of the cell and the functions this important organelle is responsible for. We will also be including a mitochondria animation from our talented friends @nucleusmedicalmedia. This video is a collaboration between @NinjaNerdOfficial + @nucleusmedicalmedia. If you want to see more scientifically accurate animations on anatomy, physiology, diseases, and conditions - Check out @nucleusmedicalmedia for more amazing scientific and medical content! Would love a histology series/playlist. Thanks for all you do!
I love this guys enthusiasm. He knows his stuff and enjoys the hell out of it. Bravo.
He’s wonderful at teaching also.
more on the GIT series pls sir, you're the only one I can watch hours non stop and actually learn 🙏🏻
I was just about to study about the mitochondria and this video popped up (released seconds ago) so I guess that's a sign haha
Lol wow. That is how impressive this channel is. Never fails.
Good overview. And a lot of detail as well. I'm hoping the next mitochondria-specific vid will be on some of the dysfunctions of the organelle and how that presents and is treated in patients. To try and address these issues within the cell really is the holy grail of genetic therapy as these genes are so vital and so conserved. There really is no room for error whatsoever.
I’m blown away by your excellent presentation. Thanks. 😮
That's very cool! A high standard explanation! Thank you!
Thank you so much! Watching a video about different types of mitochondrial dysfunction, their causes, and their clinical features would be great.
the different color markers are great. you are consistent in how you use them, black for words for example. easy to understand , cool explanations. excellent teacher! 5 stars!
One of THE BEST teacher ever found in UA-cam. Thank you so much for making this video. I watched lots of UA-cam channel but not used to write comments below. This video deserve lots of like and comments. 🎉 Woow!
This is so amazing! Thank you for the lecture!
Thank you, Zak, for your detailed and logical explanation. It really helps us understand a lot of vital processes. If you can explain in a video about vitamins in great detail, thank you again for your good work.❤
Fantastic lecture, sir. I appreciate you.
you never dissapointed me, another great video rich in knowledge
just in the right time when i needded to study cell biology thanks
Thank you so much dear Zach💐💐💐
Finally I got
I was looking for best lecture about mitochondria
Love from kashmir 🤗🤗
Thank you!!
From the deep bottom of my Heart❣❣❣
You're just way better than my college professors!!❤
Wonderful teacher. I am an engineer with a somewhat nerdy streak and I learnt a lot!
Beautiful discussion. I learned what my prof tried to teach me so much quicker here. Thank you
thank you for this amazing explanation I really appreciate all this hardwork that you are putting in order to help students
this video was amazing and certainly helped to cement the functions
Learned something today. Thank you!
Excellent lecture Thanks man!🎉 I love how he just Shows an energitic face till the end keep up the good work!

Thank you so much ❤
You're always such a great help for my studies 😩🤌🏻
Thanks, it's quite helpful 😊
Love from Ghana ❤
Thanks for this video - it was really great, and I learned about a lot of things I didn't know I didn't know. I'll have to watch it again, maybe other videos as well to really get that in my brain, but it was great.
Beautiful and excellent explanation
just can't find words you're awesome thank you so much
Hey bro, you are the best biology teacher in the world im realy happy that found you😍and i understand biology better now.
Thank you bro😍😍😍
I love you muchhhh❤❤❤❤
You’re gonna be the one I’ll be thanking the most after my 1st year of med school
This is so good! Thank you.
this is really amazing, thank you so much!!!
This was actually really helpful
Well explained.. Thankyou 😊
Omg I love this ❤️ thank you so much
Wonderful lectures sir...
Thank you,I learned a lot
"Glycolysis has to occur inside the mitochondrial matrix". Does glycolysis occur inside the mitochondrial matrix? I thought glycolysis occured in the cytosol?
You are correct
thank you so much doctor ❤
Awesome Lectures
The enthusiasm is so great. When he started talking about apoptosis I genuinely got excited to hear about it lmao
YOU ARE SO GOOD MAN ❤
I learned a lot thank you for all you do
thank you Doc
На одном дыхании просмотрела. 👍🏻
Thank you!!!
do you have a lecture on methylation and sulfation?
Well done, it's a fantastic presentation.
Very useful😊
thanks a lot , u make everything seem fun ty
Thank you ,love from india
thanks for the video
great teacher
thanx zack youre awesome
Thank you ❤
Thank you!
As always, this is another excellent lecture. Many thanks.
Thanks!
Thank you.
Great efforts to make the subject easy to be understood. I have two remarks: 1- Glycolysis does not take place in the mitochondria, but in the cytoplasm. 2- Acetyl-CoA can not be converted into pyruvate. I am sure you know that.
Mitochondrial matrix
AMAZING
You are brilliant
AMAZING SUPER AS USUAL
Thanks, you are the best!!!!!!!!! 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
When will you release video on Nucleus and it's components
I like the most is the effort you put into a wonderful explanation and a smile. Keep going Mr. .................
thanks man
Can you complete the series of
GIT pathology
And respiratory pathology
Wow thanks
Keep going ❤
Kindly make a video on antimalarial drugs
Thanks ninja
Make sense ❤️🙏🏻
The powerhouse of the cell!!!!
Good video
Respect !!!
Ninja nerd- "back in the day"
Literally millions of years ago 😂
you are the best
God bless you my guy
Nice video
Oh, would I be a student again! You make it ridiculously simple.
Sir please make video on cytoskeleton 🙏
There has been some research into Inclusive Body Myositus that my husband has. It is where the muscles begin to waste away? Could you project what might be happening from a scientific viewpoint.
Miss you sir!
Please come back 🙏
I love you so much!
got an A on the finals . Thanks
Why is it unfortunately the side reaction of oxygen in the electron transport chain? Apart of the reactive oxygen species? Because those electrons are not converted into ATP?
Triptopone levels for heart stress where does this occur?
big love
How does red light therapy affect this process?
Can i use mytochondria to learn to summon magic spells like fireball and combustion? like in Parasite Eve?
Thank you sooo much sir but you say that glycolysis occur inside mitochondria how.
I love u bro !
the best
I ended up here because I was looking up Kuru and then Parasite Eve.. I left all searches educated better than traditional school and Scared.. Thanks...
by 10:31 you say the unfulded, inactive proteins get active and folted by proteases, but dont they have the function too brake them off? (my english isnt good sorry)
