*Ok, so... thoughts?*
5/5!
Would a holographic coat work on a white car?
I wasn't sure how this would turn out, but in the end I think it is an awesome look and one of my favorite in the holographic set you have done. 4/5
5/5
5 all the way
Absolute perfection that is exactly what I envisioned!!!! Thank you so very much👍👍
Brilliant idea brother
Your comment needs to be pinned. It's a beautiful effect for sure! Thank you for suggesting it.
This might be one of their best. Great call!!
Pretty
It looks like a blue car just barely breaking away from the void. It weirded out my brain for a while.
This MUST be made into a DIY bundle!!!!!. This is fkn AMAZING.
This is one of my favorites to date, it's not overly flashy but still would turn heads, I wouldn't mind seeing this done with red instead of blue
Not overly flashy? 😳😳😳😳It looks great, but it's definitely flashy.
Teal!! We need this over a teal hypershift!!🎉🎉🎉
Maybe a magenta of sometype?
Yes
I was thinking red as well.
OMG this was probably one of my favourite ones i've seen you guys do! I believe you nailed this project! I hope the original person who commented this suggest liked it? I think they captured the concept and executed nicely!
By far my favorite they’ve ever done!
I'm a painter of over 30 years. I've never done a dip or any kind of spray wrap on a car in my life, but you guys have me seriously looking at doing one. These colors you are creating are pretty amazing.
Dip paint is pretty cool, it is very easy to remove it if done correctly and last longer than most vinyl wraps do, with proper care and maintenance.
I'm sort the opposite end of the spectrum as you but end up in the same place - I've never painted anything bigger than the headlight bucket on my motorcycle but I'm really thinking about getting into "dipping" one of my cars.
@@nbrider7235 DO IT, both of you! Go out there and say F-it, lets shoot some coolers! 👍💪stuff peels off if you don't like the outcome, rip it off start over. 💪
I would like to see this with less red / rainbow effect, but a woman could play the s*** out of this one!
if you can paint a car, you can probably dip a car
If I had to imagine what a titanium paint job looked like, I don’t think I could come up with a better paint job to match titanium. Great job guys
Honestly, I know they hate the "pastel" situation, but I lowkey wanna see holographic pearl over ANY hypershifts with lighter base coats. Don't sleep on that psychedelic pastel!😂 LEMME SEE!!!🎉
Yes!!
Psychedelic pastel is what we need!
I was just thinking that the holographic over a pink (cherry blossom) to green (spring or sage green) hypershift would be gorgeous! I love the way it looks on the blue.
I could get down
@@Tashishi0 mint green
Not sure if I would call it welded titanium but this is one of my favourite projects you have done looks insane.
WOW! The aluminum and blue base already looked pretty cool by itself but that holographic took it to another level! I think it's safe to say mission accomplished lol
Just beautiful! I don't know if that's welded titanium, but maybe what you were thinking of was anodized titanium or niobium, where you run an electric current through the metals and you can get some amazing colors and color shifts. Whatever, I would call this a total success!
Welding is done with electricity, running an electric current to create the arc that welds it together! It’s what creates the anodized look when welding
I don't know what they wanted, but that's a stunning effect!
That base is stunning and the shift, as crazy as it is, is actually quite subtle. Beautiful!
I still want a supercut of nothing but the mixing scenes. Imagine an hour of soothing music and slow-motion paint mixing... so relaxing.
hypnotizing more like
I second that - bring on the paint porn!
Lol even better of they could overlay blend the transition of colors
+1 for this.
A delta 8 gummy and an hour of paint blending with that pornesqe music...
Therapy.
Lo-Fi beats to dip to
I haven't really been a fan of the holographic flake videos at all, but THIS IS AWESOME. If I ever need to redo the paint on my zx14, I seriously might try to replicate this.
Not gonna lie, I'm not normally a fan of the holographic pearl....but on this one, it was pretty sick! the predominately blue/grey tones with the rest of the spectrum coming in in hints...that's nice! solid 4/5 for sure!
It's pretty😮!
I think if you were to do this over a black or dark brown base you'd get that oil slick look.
Agreed
Brown would be sweet.
Wow. I'd like to see this
Me too
This would be awesoem
This is so dope. There seems to be no limit to you guys creativity. Keep pushing cause this one is awesome.
I'm not sure if that's what the commentor wanted, but this color is absolutely phenomenal!!! And yes it does have some similarities to welded titanium. This would make a killer car kit. I love the fact that you guys want to tackle these wild projects win or fail. And this is a win!!! Forget 5... this is a straight up 10!!!
Awesome that you guys go back and read comments on not brand new videos. In general, you guys interact with the community a lot which is great.
If the flakes were finer I feel like this would have totally worked. It looks great from far back just think up close and in person it might have too much of a bass boat appearance. Still dope
Well said, good sir.
yes it has a great look, but the glitter is it's not fine enough. I give this a four out of five. I think it would have a great titanium look if the Sparkles word is large. then I would definitely give it a five out of five.
I'm reminded of this bit by Jeff Foxworthy upon seeing pearls like these:
"You know what kind of stuff rednecks like to buy? Shiny stuff! We are attracted to shiny objects! UFOs, beer cans, fishing lures; if it’s shiny we like it! (....) That’s why bass boats have a glitter finish. Have you ever seen a yacht with a glitter finish?! But they put those bass boats out in the sunshine and we're hypnotized. 'We must have it! Here's our life's savings'."
So while personally not for me, I will say it does look pretty cool and even more so from a distance. Did find it interesting how the colors shift in a way that mimics stuttering/lag in the closeups. Wonder if that's how it looks in person; or if it's just a side effect of the camera?
@@TheFastgeek "Stutter/lag" Exactly what I wanted to know. It's like the rendering engine is borked 🙂
Also would have preferred the Grey be a shade lighter
This combination of hypershift pearl, and the grey base to achieve a titanium final effect is my absolute favorite of all your videos. I have always wanted to do a heat treated aluminum bicycle frame to the same effect that you ultimately have achieved with your dip process. Awesome awesomeness!!
This is hot. 5/5. I wonder if there's a way to get the same look without the "glitter" effect
We use the same holographic pigments on fingernails, but we found if we used a regular solvent-based topcoat, we'd get that glittery effect. To get a true, uninterrupted linear holo effect, we buff the dry pigment into the surface of a clear UV-activated polymer top coat, then finish with the same UV coating. No solvents, no glitter. Maybe someone reads this and sees a way?
@@elizabethwhite1014 yesss car painting could really take a few pages out of the nail polish book if you ask me! You’d be able to create some pretty cool stuff!
@@elizabethwhite1014 same way you would buff with graphite to get a linear effect
As an artist, airbrush artist & spray painter I never dipped a car in my 26 year career as both a spray painter & airbrush artist. As an artist this is the best & closest to a burnt or welded titanium type finish I ever saw before in my life. I Googled images of welded titanium finishes on car headers & exhaust pipes & this is extremely pretty close with hues of blue, silver tones etc. I totally LOVE❤IT MENNN!!
It may not look like titanium but that is the best looking paint I have ever seen.
Or may be one of the best. This holographic seems to uplift any colour it touches. 😊😊😊
I'm not that into cars or car colours, but the pure creative interaction on this channel is so fun. And the end result was awesomely friggin' cool.
"I think we're on track. Right?". "What are the chances of us actually nailing this?"
"I'd be surprised."
"I mean, the problem is, we don't necessarily even know what we're even going after." (Bang-bang-bang-shake-shake-shake) "But you know, sometimes it's just the effort that counts. And it's a weird experiment, and we have no idea where it's gonna take us, and we kinda like stuff like that if I'm being honest."
Yeah, me too.
It's definitely one of the top 5 best you've ever done. Great job.
I think you really captured the look of titanium with this. NAILED IT! Keep up the visionary experiments! These "Don't know where it's headed" videos are the bomb! Thanks!
Wow. Just...wow. That is for sure a 10 out of 5. Took me a minute to get my jaw off the floor. Beautiful combo.
Been lurking for about a month I guess, but this one earned you my subscription, absolutely in my top 5 all time favorite looks I've ever seen anywhere at all. This is gorgeous ❤🔥
Phenomenal job! I don’t know if it’s titanium, but it totally reminds me of an aqua aura quartz. Other way, this is totally in my top five dips I’ve seen you guys do. Love it!
I think you nailed the color combination, I'd give it a 4 out of 5 only because of the excessive sparkle from up close.
5 out of 5 if you could make this kind of effect just a little more subtle 👍🏼
This is gorgeous with the blue base but I think it would look more like titanium with a purple base! Just a thought as the owner of a BUNCH of titanium jewelry!
Kinda wanna see it over purple now too.
I thought blurple,
Yeah think purple base would look more like the burnt/welded titanium look… 🤔
Hit the nail on the head. That guy knew what he was talking about. It's gorgeous.
I've had some ideas for a while. One that comes to mind right away is ZBB hypershift with a small amount of an interference pearl on top of it to create the effect of a twinkling night sky.
And of course I should say that while I don't think the combo looks that close to welded Titanium, it looks unbelievably cool.
That's a stunner, classic blue doing jazz hands. I had no idea what holographic powder had to with titanium, thanks for explaining. Definitely 5/5
a little bit flakey up close but still such a cool concept! these kinds of videos are some of my favorites, where it's just an all out experiment and we really have no idea what to expect. really hope the dude who requested this one is happy with how it turned out! :)
I love the look before the pearl went on honestly. The finished product is incredible but there was something elegant about that matte blue/ gun metal type look on that car
This is nuts! Amazing how many colors it hits while still being slightly subtle from certain angles.
For someone claiming to not even fully understand the mission, I'd say you friggin' nailed it.
I love this! It's not "in-your-face" purple, but it's not exactly subtle either. Beautiful.
Wow! This an amazing color. It's masculine and mysterious at the same time. I love it.
Awesome turn out! I Personally think doing this over a darker grey base giving a darker blue hyper-shift before the holographic topcoat would give much more depth and really make the final outcome Epic!
2 minutes into the video with the base color of the car and I’m 100% sold on just that color alone.
Definitely not welded titanium but this is such an awesome project and combo regardless 5 out of 5, love it
I can definitely say that this one is freaking NICE. Not overwhelming. Just right.
Looks amazing and I think your interpretation skills are on point! Even if it’s not what they were trying to say, you nailed the wielded titanium look in my humble opinion. 🤩💯🔥
6/5. Love it. It has hints of that titanium, especially at distance. Amazing none the less.
Man I’m just so excited to see how it turned out, I think you guys did a great job guessing what it was we wanted, and I loved your take on it. Beautiful paint job too
Wow!!! 5 out of 5! Dimensions, glamour, and glitz. I love it!
It's crazy how much this combo show all the colors. U guys keep giving us great and unique paint job. Keep it up. ❤❤❤
These colors schemes are so wild and beautiful. Love these. Now all I need is my minivan seriously fixed and money to have this done. Being broke is rough. But I'd have it done asap on my vehicle still. Worth it.
Dude....not knowing exactly what you guys were getting into...you did a fabulous job!! This makes me want to do the exact combo, it looks amazing. Great work as always & thank you so much for letting us tag along for the ride Ten things up!
NAILED IT!!!! Even the guy that suggested it said "Perfection" Killin it lately Fonzie and crew!!!
would really love to see your most _orangey bronze metallic_ base with a couple few layers of _pink candy_ on top… i promise it’ll be hot ;¬)
Oh yeah, that's so true to what they were asking for.
This has got to be one of the best, most unique colors you've ever done!
Wow, I'm impressed! Not sure about the welded titanium thing, but sure it looks good 👌 5 stars from me 😁
That's amazing looking. I can't help think it would look even better under a layer or two of clear.
Nice job I would have liked the color more if it didn't have dots
Stunning. I am very much appreciative of the grays and blues for base coats.
As for today’s experiment, I give it a 5. Lovely blue and the holo is just pretty. You know, every good team needs a balls to the wall enthusiast (Fonzie) and a reasonable sceptic (Gabe). You guys make the perfect team! Thanks for all you do. Maybe holo over a deep red? Just thinking.
Nice first execution and It’s got you in the ball park. Slightly more vibrant blue hypershift base and a holographic without the green and you’re there. I agree with other comments on a smaller flake too.
I wasnt familier with what welded titanium looked like so I did an image search. most of what came looks very close to what you guys came up with when viewing from a distance with one exception. Your tended to sheen red as the dominant color while the welded titanium images showed mostly blue/purple as the dominant colors. Great look in any case!
5 Stars! I'm with another person who commented that this was their favorites to date. I was telling my husband I could picture this on our car. He agreed.
This is stunning! Eye-catching, but understated. Very classy.
My all time favorite colour blend. Stunning!!!
That is just gorgeous the lavender and baby blue show threw so well 😍
I'm 4 minutes into the video...paused it. I get the suspense factor of these videos. I'm always excited to see the end result. Was honestly wondering if you ever got in touch with the person who had this idea to get actual details of what they had in mind. Cause if it was my car and saw this with the "have no clue" attitude (which the suspense factor kicks in) I'd be a little apprehensive of future projects.
Please let me know some behind the scene magic. Really love these clips.
Beautiful!! Slightly understated and perfect for the vehicle chosen to wear it....
that is totally
awesome welded titanium, to perfection, absolutely love it
I had to look up welded titanium images. And from that, I can say you nailed it. Very cool.
Blue, Gray into Rainbow. So close to Titanium right next to the weld. Awesome
Nice, subtle, not overwhelming. Solid 5 in my book.
I dunno if it looks like welded titanium, but I think it is the best project I’ve seen so far. 1000/5.
I think it's definitely unique, and I love how it was messing with the camera. But it's not the welded titanium look. The blue base is messing it up. Maybe try going over a medium silver base with that same pearl? The pour into the spray cup looked spot on...
Nailed it!! Imagine being the cop trying to explain the vehicle color over the radio to dispatch 🤣 i absolutely LOVE this one tho!!!!!
I think this hits the mark of the commenter. It does look like Titanium and with the holographic you have done this car justice!! 5/5
That is incredibly HOT!! You were definitely moving in the right direction. I think the holographic pearl is making it tough to see the welded titanium through it. I think a subtle shift to blue would probably work better.
Yowzah that is mesmerizing. I could see titanium like coloration. It is crazy fancy and super fun though!
omg i almost feel like i need to see this in person. This might tempt me to dip my car, but instead of a blue base i'd go for a plum, sorta like a darker purple. Thank you for doing this test allowed me to see how the holographic reacts with that base color.
After many watching many videos, I love this color the best. It’s absolutely gorgeous ❤
Wow, just wow, personal favorite so far. What a fantastic project.
Absolutely love the finished look. Would love that on my FJ. Definitely a 5
I think you Nailed it! It looks like heated steel, just what titanium does when you put a torch to it
This is a solid 4.9 for me. Really almost perfect, even if not completely a titanium look, but I'd definitely still rock this for sure. The base colour itself was perfect, solid 5 if finished off as matte. The glimmering effect seemed quite flakey and not as smooth as I'd have preferred it, unless it's just because of UA-cam compression, but otherwise this is really one of my faves, and I just love the way it looks. Thanks to the original commenter for this suggestion though,
That gave me goosebumps!! Almost as much as the voodoo purple💥🤩
That holographic rainbow pearl can make anything look amazing!
The refresh rate of your Camera makes it dance!
Hands Down!! My absolute favorite!!
Best holo I've seen on a car. Beautiful.
Okay hopefully lucky 7th time asking for a full size truck videooo!!!
Hey guys! Could we please 🙏 have 4K shots even if it’s just the end so we can see the detail crisp. Absolutely one of my favourites to date. This colour is amazing. I’m more of a matte finish so I imagine this with a satin finish would be bliss. Cheers for all the great content.
I love it. It does have a burnt titanium look to it for sure. 10/10
No idea if this is what op wanted but you have created a thing of beauty here, 10/5 one of the best ive seen from you guys
Different isn’t always cool, but I like this a lot. It’s so clean.
If Carlsberg did car paint this would be their product, best colour effect I have ever seen! Absolutely stunning ❤❤
Just a little deeper blue and it would have been spot on! Amazing color! Great job!
Fantastic! MG Rover had a colour shift identical to this, over a lighter base, called Moonshine. It was a Factory option on their personalisation programme called MonoGRam.
I absolutely LOVE IT! 🥰 Bravo guys!!! 7:45
Nailed it, that is defo one of the best I've seen you guys do.
