When you said pick a random word to Gabe I immediately thought lime creamsicle. Or a hybrid…dreamcicle 🤩after seeing it on the car I’m getting hulk vibes 😏💜💚
They've done some videos comparing shifts over different bases. some shifts give an almost opal like shine to the white, some completely disappear. I'd love to see this one over a grey base so the color doesn't totally disappear, but it would hopefully be more of a minty green to lavender shift
Using a black as a base was cool, 5 out 5, but it would be interesting to see it on a lot of bases like blue, green, white, silver, and maybe if you are crazy yellow. Do all these small scale and let the viewers vote which one to take full scale. All I can say is KP knocked it out of the park AGAIN! Keep up the Great Work Guys!
I wish that every time they sprayed a car, they also had a table set up to spray a bunch of different base coat colors on those plastic car shaped sample things.
This is a beautiful hyper shift and the black base really amplifies the purple. Would love to see this over say a silver or white base coat. For the name I like mint dream but my nerdy butt immediately went for the nerdy route and called it Hulk Smash!
Fonzie - "If that is the case, black is the completely wrong base". This is exactly why I suggested in a recent video to start doing two-tone dip jobs, half the car with a black base and half the car with a white base (front and back or left and right). This color is nice, but it looks like so many other hypershifts that have been used for decades now. With a white base, this probably would have looked like the Mint Dream that Gabe had stated. Or, what would be done too, if you don't want a car two-toned, choose a base for the full-scale project but also paint 3 speed shapes (white, black, and silver base), so that we can see how it will look on different bases.
I don’t know why but the way they film the videos with each guy in their own frame with the shots back and forth is so cute to me. Especially how Gabe’s always in his little corner giving such sage advice. 😂
I give it a 10 for it being a prototype shift. Loving how it shifts from the lime green to the dark grape color and on top of the black base just enhances those colors.
This is it, this is literally the car of my dreams XD The shift from green to purple is absolutely astounding and the huge difference between the powder, the mix, and the end result is mind blowing :O
Absolutely beautiful!! 5/5. Would love to see this over either a white or grey base, glad you're feeling better Fonzie, A big thanks to the DYC crew for all the great content, and a special thanks to the guys at KP Pigment for coming up with weird and wonderful pearls and hypershifts
They've done tons of videos with hypershift over a white base, and they NEVER work, thr hypershifts just don't work over white , and they rarely work over other colors...just look at their previous videos
@@post-leftluddite I would usually agree with you, however there are some hypershifts that don't exactly play by the rules (like ZGP or ZTH for example) I just think the mint green will show through a lot more on a lighter base, but then again I might be wrong
I want to see it over white or nardo. I'd also love to see yall do like a split base when trying out new products just to see the difference between difference base coats. Do like half black half white.
I would love to see a harlequin style car where each panel has a different ZG hypershift over different base. A massive pain to prep and stray, but would be an amazing show case.
2 of my favorite colors, and both are so rich and creamy looking! I would love the straight green, or the straight purple as well. Those colors don’t jive in my head, but look amazing together! You never fail to mess with my reality and perception. Great content
Totally unexpected. When you were still mixing it from the top view, it reminded me of a soft coral I had in my reef tank I had years ago called 'Elegance'. It was that bright almost neon green with pink. I would have never guessed this dip was going to come out like that. So pretty. I'd love to see it on another base, white or just a lighter base out of curiousity.
I use beads with a very similar effect on them. Miyuki brand calls it “Aurora Borealis” or AB coating. It looks very different on different colored beads. You guys should definitely do a batch of different base color speedshapes to play around with this one.
ZGS officially stands for “Green Shenanigans” this is absolutely wild. What was in the bag, what was mixed and what it looks like are all so wildly different. Love it 🎉 5/5
That is a wickedly strong shift in color but it's also super smooth on the transitions, which makes it a rarity. I'm not hip on the 2 colors being on my car but man it'd look great with another color besides green like some type of blue or pinks.
That's totally not what I was expecting, this one has blown me out of the water. What an awesome colour, with the greens, pinks, purples and a hint of blueish WOW this one has turned out a 5/5 outstanding from KP pigments.
That is insane... especially considering the powder and mixed form.I would love to see this over multiple colors on speed shapes with the favorite or favorites dipped full scale on one of your cars. Either way, this is a definite 5!!! Thanks for the great content
Man I dont know why but I immediately wondered what it would look like over a bright orange base 😂 Gorgeous shift, very Aurora Borealis and definitely a 5/5 for me. I'd love to see speed shapes with different base colours like white, lime green, bright orange etc.
I was looking for a bright orange candy pearl, and deciding on the base colour when I saw this. So glad you also thought this would look beautiful over orange. Would love to see a video of it tried out!
I have watched a couple of your shows in the past on hyper shifts. They just don’t come across my feed often. It had to be fate for this video to pop up. I own a 1998 Honda Civic that I am trying to fix up, and this is the perfect thing for what I was envisioning. Thank you
4. This is definitely a head turner! I let my daughters see it (ages 9 & 5) and they said it was awesome and amazing. It’s always hard for me to give anything a 5. 5 is mind blowing. This isn’t quite that, but it’s definitely a head turner!
What makes it very special is the sudden change from purple to green. It's not the colour shift you'd expect. But somehow, the intensity of the colours make it work. Clearly, black is a good base colour. Maybe even the best choice.
Wow Gabe nailed it, all the purples. I really like this shift. Super dark and muted from a distance and POW! Green and purple fer days up close. I like the straight on green and then the fade to dark on the angles.
Wow . This is a 10. Reason is simply clear, these are my 2 favourite colors. Emerald green and you know I love purple. So it's mixed together. Results are amazing
There are no words to describe how much I love this. Green/purple tone mixes are my favourite colour combinations in general and this is just gorgeous.
This is a gorgeous green, I would love love love to see y’all do more non-black bases. I would love to see this one over a pale mint green that preserves that color!
I'm not a subscriber and only check vids occasionally but of the various colors I've seen you guys spray, this is easily a top 3 - and green isn't even my favourite color! 15/10
5/5! Dying to see this over blue, grey, or tan too. Gabe did good with the Mint Dream! If somebody asks me "quick random word!" my brain decides it's never heard a word in its life
5/5 I don’t usually comment on these but I have to say, this looks especially stunning. I thought the green/purple shifts were interesting but overdone but instead of a subtle shift, this one instantly transforms from green to purple with very little transition. Very nice!
Like the band says, WHIP it good! Can't wait to see this one! Wow, first layer start showing iridescence right away! Oh WOOOOOOOOOW that came out nicely!! Oh, yes, give the paint guys a chance to PLAY! Amazing how it doesn't turn out the color of the pigment. I was expecting a pearl mint kinda thing too. Just WOW! I'd kinda love to see a red/orange/yellow shift on a red base?
I was getting 'Tinkerbell' and 'pistachio' vibes from the powder and mixing, but the reveal invokes more of an... 'absinthe' green fairy vibe than Neverland, very rich colors.
I bet this would be sweet on a white or even a green base! This one really goes to show that the pigment itself can look SO much different than the finished product.
Now that is gorgeous! What I would call a "Maleficent" car with that green-purple color shifting. I'm not a fan of green cars (even though my car is, not by choice) but THIS is what I would want my car to look like if I had a choice. About 20 years ago, Cover Girl released a pretty cool nail polish called Midnight Forest that had that dark green to dark purple color shift. I loved it. It was incredible. It's been out of production for a long, long time, and no clone has ever come close to it. But somehow this hypershift pearl is pretty darn close! This one is a 5 for me. I'd drive this car for the rest of my life.
I saw the pinkish not quite purple color as you were pouring and spraying.🙌💯 I stopped video and typed too soon. Purple stood out brilliantly... I thought for sure it was going to be pink..😂🙌
Very cool, reminds me of a duplicolor set. A diy rattle can set with a black base colored mid coat and clear metallic top coat. Sprayed a computer case with it and it wasnt half bad. This one has a much bettef color shift than the dupli set. The immediate shift is definitely my fave.
This was wild! Minty pastel green in the mixing cup, but nowhere near that once on the car. On the black base like this, it's giving me Ford Mustang Mystichrome vibes. Or maybe I'm just too much of a Mustang guy, lol. So cool!
Love the show and all the content! That color is fantastic! It reminds me of the old Ford color shift they used on some mustangs and I've always loved the color fade! Keep up the great work guys!
*What do you think about Mint Dream oops I mean ZGS?* 😂
What does the S stand for? For me that would be ZGP because is green to purple
Amazing

3.5 It's nice but like you I liked that pistachio/lime green. I wonder what it would look like on a lighter base?
Wow!
Wondering what some of the hyper shifts would look like over a white base
Me too. I’ve always wondered
It'll way better probably they gotta try It..
Sometimes the shift just disappears on white base or just dulls it down.

same, or gray
Need to see it on white or bright green base.
Completely agree and had to find my phone to comment since I was watching this on my tv😂
Maybe a silver or gold base?
Yes, gold or the copper base would set this off
@@jonpeters8344 I think any metallic colored base would be a MASSIVE step up!
That Lime color Dodge used in the late 60s early 70s would be an awesome base for this.
Using a black as a base was cool, 5 out 5, but it would be interesting to see it on a lot of bases like blue, green, white, silver, and maybe if you are crazy yellow.

be interesting to see it over bright ass yellow

I love this! It almost has a chrome property to it. BUT... I would love to see this over a white base! Please make it happen!!
Already commented on another with the same. THIS NEEDS TRACTION! must see it on white! ❤
I agree, I think white base would be awesome!
Sometimes white hides the pearls and the shift quality's but sometimes it's fucking awesome
Or over a cream
This!
Wow! Looks nothing like the powder in the bag or what the mixed tint looks like. Really like this one. 5 out of 5 for me.
The people making those are truly professional, seems really complicated to achieve that effect 🫨
