2024 Toyota Zenix Hybrid Review | There's Just One Little Thing...
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 чер 2024
- The Toyota Zenix is one of the most anticipated sequels to one of the brand's most legendary nameplates. The MPV has grown in more ways than one and learned a few tricks as well. Ditching diesel, it now has a 2.0-liter series-parallel powertrain that may surprise even the most stout of diesel die-hards. Apart from that, refinements can be found all over the car's exterior, interior, and technology features, but there is just one thing that bugged Caco throughout this review. Find out what it is on this episode of Behind the Wheel.

I can’t get over how those wheels look SO SMALL on those arches 🥲
Yes and it looks worse in real life
Here in Indonesia there are a lot of Zenix owners changing the wheels after getting it from dealers
It's not really the wheels but the tires, just make them thicker (aspect ratio) and wider, then the looks and stance will compensate. We should be aware that this falls under MPV segment and NOT SUV, the reason for having thinner and narrower tires (same as it goes with Veloz). If it falls under SUV segment, then it's the opposite, like the Rush.
@@alopey_cant upsize the wheels much...the wheel wells are so small 😅 its wheels are the same size as the HRV RS
I say, change the tires.
Because it’s no longer a body on frame truck mpv which sits higher thus making the wheel arches smaller unlike this that they need to make the wheel well/arches larger to accomodate the lower sitting stance.
Still the best reviews here with Caco... You da best mannn!!
Great review as always! Almost everything is great about this car - the platform, the space, the tech. But if there's one thing holding it back from being a bestseller, it's that price. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but it is expensive. The fuel economy though is fantastic!
Cheers!
i manage to test one of these they are actually more refined and quiet than the innova. the 2nd row was like sitting on a hiace it was relaxed and spacious so good for those claustrophobic people. But the drawback was the down on power but in a good way though. Its more comfort focused with passable quality to get that so called premium feel. PLus its a hybrid so lesser trips to gas stations.
hey AD, bakit sa video magkaiba ang specs ng engine nyo compared to the one at your comparison sa website nyo? love the review as always!!! more views!!!
Toyota should pay Caco for having his name as a feature function of the Zenix.
That tamarraw FX sure brought back my childhood memories that was our first family car.
From Lip to Tip, needs a shirt
IM BUYING
😂😂😂. Reserve me a pair of mediums.
Yooooo
*_"1 Or 2 business days" had me LMAO!_* 😄😁😆
Sorry about the super bowl. 😂 Chiefs fan here and your subscriber. ✌️
Caco your the best car reviewer I’ve ever watched!!!
Very good for those businessmen/women who wants to be driven than drive daily in Manila area. But the Custin Lux variant is more "pang mayaman" look outside and inside but underwhelming power. Zenix being a hybrid is a huge deal for some imo. Nice review ADPH.
"You need help, you need to find Jesus" really got me hard
Pause
That's kinda sus bro
How hard🥺
You grow up in the "bay" area Caco? I've long ago decided you must have been at least partially raised in the US of A due to your excellent English speaking skills..idioms and sense of quirky humor which I relate too..
Skipped the 2.0 gas engine though. Almost missed it but i went back. Skillfully done 😂
The line to get this car is getting crazy long. Spot on review by Autodeal!
I feel you Caco, that Niners loss stings, now were staring dow the barrel of a Chiefs 3peat 😅
Manifesting the zenix!!!! I want!
nice review congratulations
Now this is a real hybrid, unlike my Ertiga, which I still love.
Best seller dito sa Indonesia yang innova zenix.. mapa non hybrid or hybrid. Pinaka top of the line option ng zenix hybrid dito yung q hybrid modellista.. may second row infotainment, then dash cam, wireless charger for smartphone.. mas sportier look yung modellista.
when are you going to make a review on the jetour dashing?
I was hoping for the base variant comparison too.. Or Base variant quick review.
Probably sometime later this year.
I know Autoindustriya did one on their UA-cam channel last week
"Yawa!" I spat out my coffee there when I heard it!
😂
Malutong nga eh haha
😅 ganun nga. Depende nayun sa nakikinig. Great review parin as always😊
😅😂🤣😆
hahah ngano man???
i don't have money to buy car...
what i am doing here???
well i just love the way you give a review on a different cars
😅😅😅
Can't wait for your Fortuner GR-S 2024 review soon sir ❤
Dude really cranked that ride yo 🤣🙌
Could you also make a review or camparo on the invicto and the zenix tnx
been a fan of Caco and became even more of a fan today when i learned he's a niners fan 👌
I love watching you guy, really!…funny and amusing…🎉🎉🎉
QUESTION
HYUNDAI CUSTIN OR ZENIX ?
kung comfort sa seats and driving and less gastos pagdating sa maintenance
Zenix for less maintenance cost
Ito din ang pinagpilian namin, in the end, we chose Zenix Q because of it being a hybrid and ride height.
Some car mechanic review says toyota hybrid cost less in terms of overall maintenance compared to a gas car but I still doubt it. Sa ngayon kasi, casa lang talaga ang service ng hybrid. Siguro kung may know-how na ang ibang shop, magiging mura na maintenance ng hybrid.
1 full tank of 37-40L (50L capacity pero may 10L reserved) is about 540km sa medium to heavy traffic na yan.
Less ang breaking dahil sa engine brake (so less sa brake maintenance)
First 1000km maintenance cost is around php4800
I did not worry much sa battery kasi 8 years ang warranty, so far it performed well.
@@artupato sir i have concern with zenix hybrid.
Usual speed ko 40-60kph, no difference or di maramdaman ang 'shifting' sa electric or electectric+engine or engine lang. Expect 'drone' sound na lang sa cvt. But, okay na walang rumble ang engine unlike diesel engines (like sa navara or terra)
Better talaga mag-test drive pero mahirap kumuha ng unit. Waiting kami 6mos for the white, but nung may available na blackish brown last month, kumagat na kami.
Sa mpv segment, ang custin lang ang alternative namin kaya lang lagpas 2M ang top variant tapos di pa hydrid
Which Toyota hybrid generation we used in the Zenix?
caco, will you choose zenix over the custin?
Thanks nice review
You can also turn off the adaptive cruise control on a mitsu as well. I don't think that's a feature that needs to be stressed.
"lip to tip", word!!!! No one reviews the way Caco does! hands up best!
Battery (and electric motor/s) are 2 of the main concerns of these hybrids 'in long the term' say, past 6 years or so, can't imagine the cost of replacing it. And mind you, it still has an engine to maintain
Battery replacement usually cost around 200 to 300k but these hybrid batteries could easily last 10 years or more. However the main concern here is flood. I know that the battery is sealed but it is really not advisable to pass through floods
@@SweetKat Yes I agree, flood is another one, imagine with those electronics, ECU itself is a headache na, what more pa yang EV system kung binaha. Moreover, we are a tropical country as well, so the quality and behavior of these batteries are about to be tested for longevity in our climate.
0:18 damn! I like the last generation of the FX prior the Revo! Around 15 years ago, I was dreaming of having enough disposable income to make a modern or cool looking FX.😭
You're a 49er fan too?? This San Francisco-based UA-camr approves!
@@Zeusimo But his favorite football team is based out of San Francisco, lol. As in, the San Francisco 49ers. Which is where I'm from. Does that make sense?
Faithful 😢
Here in the Philippines, there are probably some who watch NFL / American Football (Gridiron).
That said, basketball is still the king here locally.
@@blackcyborg009Wala naman nagtanong
No other hybrid MPV yet as of this date but the hybrid Xpander may be coming to our shores very soon.
Ertiga is a hybrid MPV.
@@macoi3008mild* hybrid tho, if i remember correctly.
@@macoi3008 it’s a mild hybrid. The incoming Xpander has a “full” hybrid system.
Hi! Can you demo about how to use the EV button. 😊
Compared to the others, seeing that it does 10+Km\L in the city where everyone else with that price tag struggles and take into consideration 183HP and 393 freaking Nm torque despite being a 4 cylinder Gasoline engine / Hybrid one id say its bang for the buck.. .now if Toyota can just put a moonroof like the other MPVs Custin/Okavango and put in the same cameras as the ones in chinese cars that are so clear, im sold!
Gud day ,Please compare Kia Carnival EX vs Zennix Hybrid , tnx so much
Moladin uphill test showed a wheelspin incident since it is a front wheel drive now
It's the "YAWA" for me. 😂
Lip to tip 🤣 you deserve a medal my man haha
No coding much even better❤
"From lip to tip". "(Caco's) shorts & curlies". Take me out of the gutter Jesus 🙏 Seriously though, another great review Caco & the AutoDeal Team 👍👌❣️
how about the ground clearance?
The next #1 Sportscar photobomber but it's still Innova tbh 😭😭😭
nagkomento nanaman yung mga walang pambili... may pa crying emoji pa ampota. bili ka kasi ng sarili mong sportscar tapos picturan mo ng walang innova sa likuran.
TMPC only sold 2000 units of the Zenix last year 😂
this definitely wont sell as well as the OG Diesel Innova
@@KuchingKingVideoGamer And now they're little bit everywhere 🤣🤣🤣
Hello Caco. Thank you for this review of the Zenix. But we have the following concerns to settle before deciding to get one.
1) Can the Zenix Hybrid system handle long distance driving? Say a minimum of 600-kM in one straight driving. This is a combination of highway and provincial road conditions.
2) Will the under chassis supports (and shock absorbers) be able to handle its maximum passenger & cargo capacity on long distance driving?
3) How good will the Zenix handle a series of tight corner turns? And we mean continuous tight turns that can stretch for 70-kM at a time.
4) Is there a speed range that the Hybrid system will take over and power the Zenix?
Given the above concerns that we have. Is it a Zenix that we should be considering to buy, or will it be another type of a Toyota vehicle model?
Hope you can help us decide. We will appreciate knowing any feedback we can hear from you.
Salamat Caco and AutoDeal Team.
4:00 love that part..😂
Hey Caco how many kilometers on EV mode only?
Let me answer this one. For context, the battery stays about 30% to 40% charged in city drive with heavy traffic. You can only use EV mode if it is 30% or above. My 'guesstimate' is only about +5km if it is between 30% to 40% battery for city driving.
I hope you can review the new honda crv vx. Thanks
Sir Caco, baka naman when you get your hands on the MG One! 🤗 let us know po!
GOATED REVIEWER CACO!
Where in clark there ?
From "lip to tip"... I see what you did there man hahaha
The "YAWAAA!" gets me hahahahahaha
Jetour dashing review soon ?
Does the NON-Hybrid also comes with a 360 cam?
I think the nonhybrid only has the reverse cam
I'm buying my first hybrid car. Which one would you recommend, the toyota xenix 2024 or the toyota corolla cross 2024? I know both of them were almost 2M in price and both from Toyota, i'm just not certain which one will i choose. Please advise. Thanks.
Zenix
Does the steering wheel telescope and tilt?
Yes, it does.
Caco those guns are gunning.
Are you sure with torque figures?
MY QUAM! IS YEAH,.The reverse camera which can be updated to a more clearer one so that neither the driver,,..Or the front passenger can see clearly when parking it backwards as well as getting out of a front wall faced parking
Again when backing up,.You can instantly see when a car or a person is crossing behind you or not
A good competitor at that price range would be the GWM HAVAL H6 HEV. Definitely bang for buck!
Nope, that is a 5 seater, compared to this as a full 7 seater, and hope soon can be 8 if they can make bench-type seat in the middle row.
Is it good on an uphill drive?.. Baguio drive?..
my guy, that is a stupid question, any new car can do it, its just a question of how tired would you be before you get up there and that's more down to your skill level than anything else
Looks good new style.
Somehow I was expecting him to follow up his "YA" with a "WA" but when he did I was still surprised. 😂
That "YAWA!" got me! HAHAHAHA!
Toyota should start offering Zenix and Innova with light interior like those in the older models of Innova.
This is especially true for the Zenix. Dark plastics and seats aren't just classy. Makes it look cheap to be perfectly honest.
Light interior colors will compliment Zenix very well and will make it classier and more premium. Look at Hyundai Custin. Not sure if they have same quality of materials, but light interior is just more pleasing to the eyes and won't make interior look cheap. Light interior colors bring a bit more luxury and elegance.
Is there a counterpart of the Innova zenix in Nissan MPVs or SUVs??
No, Nissan only has the Livina to which the counterpart for Toyota is Veloz or Avanza, and Xpander for Mitsubishi.
The Livina used to be a direct competitor, but it has gone down a segment thru the expander route.
I'd say the Zenix, now that they are more of a car that truck, is really competing directly with the Custin, and I think if Nissan brings the ePower Serena, that would be a valid competitor.
393 NM torque is more than the Diesel (a bit). It's crazy that they even brought the non-hybrid cause the combustion engine alone has always been lackluster, even in the previous generation.
@@SLiX-thatguy11m- toyota never relased a combined torque output number. That 393nm they stated is from adding the 187nm from the ICE and 206NM from the electric motor. But they said it doesnt work that way.
I cant believe this is the new FC na bro 😅
Innova has 2 years waiting period in India even tho they are selling 6k to 8k per month and not even counting that old Innova dieselis selling in decent no like 2k per month waiting period 6 months
The Innova Zenix has been on sale for quite a while already, but I rarely see one roving around the streets of Metro Manila.
People are still hesitant to buy the zenix. 2.8L diesel engine vs 2.0 gasoline engine.
They aren’t hesitant. Wala lang talagang units. I’ve asked a few dealerships, 6 months ang waiting time talaga. Once na magkaron sa dealership, nabibili ahad.
Same. I’ve only seen this once and it’s the non-hybrid variant. Lol
Wala po Kasi stock Ang HEV version. Kung may Makita ka they prioritize in house financing or pay plus 200k-300k from its srp. If Hindi you have to wait in line. Last update ko Wala Na natanggap Ng reservations.
ang dami ko nkkita.. di lang kasi halata ibang iba itsura
Ang tanong kung ang sa suzuki ertiga hybrid eh 100k ang battery pag pinalitan, magkno naman sa zenix?
300,000 up to 500,000 Pesos
where was this video shot?
CALAX
hows the ride vs custin?
Custin is more on the softer side, this is more of an all around side.
What will happen if nabaha kaya?
Do they have diesel Zenix?
No, they dont have. It's either a gasoline engine with hybrid or without hybrid. Non Zenix Innovas are the ones that still has the diesel engine as an option.
Hahahhahahahahhaha the "YAWA" got me
Caco, when ang review ng Honda CRV🥰
Kelan kaya magkaron ng 8 seater
If 13.7km/li upsets Caco then what would he say if I told him I'm currently averaging 17km/li purely city driving with the usual EDSA traffic?
Would be better if toyota had stocks available in their dealerships.
We got our Rav4 Limited Hybrid here in US. $51k including tax
I felt the YAWA! wahahahaha
-bisaya here.
My crv 2018 diesel v model , does 15.2 km/liter
In india a 2 year waiting period atleast ..some have 96 months that is 7 years waiting like the toyota hyrider
First. It's a great daily ngl
Hybrids have good fuel efficiencies for city driving especially on heavy traffic. Long distance driving - no edge over gasoline engines.
Caco did not drop the hood anymore. HAHA
Hybrid is best seller in India and Middle East.
Y*wa in Cebuano is usually censored, sir. :D :D
Nice color of luggage
How caco describes the impressive smoothness of the Hybrid system contrasts alot with his complaints with the Yaris Cross Hybrid. indeed TNGA >>>>>> DNGA
Custin Comparo 🙏
no blue badge for the hybrid?
no blue badge.
sa front may led strip lights sa baba, sa sides at likod may 'hybrid' badge
As a Bisaya, I appreciate the representation through a very well-used curse word, but it still needs more conviction as they say: "Say it with your chest!" 😅😁
