    It's been a couple of weeks since making this video, and we've taken the loader off again. We love the maneuverability while brush hogging trails and pastures. You can also watch our review of the Kubota L3901 here: ua-cam.com/video/mOUmn0b4GbQ/v-deo.html

    I love that Bella hanging out with you. Either the fence is not completed yet or she found another way over to your property. hahaha 😎

      The answer is B! Bella and Lilly found a way through the holes in the back fence. BUT, also, Bella can jump over our front 5' gate. I've given up on keeping her out and just let the neighbor know when I'm brush hogging as I don't want to hurt her. We've got two more fence videos coming up! Thanks for watching. B&D

    Good informative video. I've never taken mine off (and likely won't, unless I get bored). I can see where removing it would help in maneuverability as well as deep cleaning and maintenance. The loader makes is a little more difficult, but not much to access the front end of the engine bay.

    The first time we took the loader off our MX5200 it was a bit sticky. After we took it off I greased the pins and the coupling where the loader connects. It’s easier to disconnect the loader the second time.
    Taking off the loader transforms the tractor when mowing. It feels like a much smaller and more agile machine. It’s much more pleasant to mow grass without the loader attached and it must be easier on the front axel not to have the loader attached.
    Most probably if I had a decent storage shed I’d keep the loader off most of the time, only fitting it when I need to use it.
    One positive about Kubota is they make loaders that are as easy as they can make to take off and put back on.

      We agree with all your comments! Our Loader Removal video on Tik Tok had 750K views and a common comment was: "why remove your loader?"

    • @kdegraa
      @kdegraa Рік тому +1

      @@PineyGroveHomestead it’s surprising so many tractor enthusiasts are watching Tik Tok. You could answer “because Kubota makes it so easy to take the loader off”. I find it a little more difficult getting the loader back on as we do not have a perfectly level surface or hard surface to park the loader. So when pushing down on the bucket it sinks into the ground a bit.

    Kubota has a great system for easy removal. The L series is similar to the BX. I have to remove mine all of the time to mow my yard. I can’t run the brush cutter without the loader though. The front end gets too light. 😂.

      @PineyGroveHomestead  2 роки тому

      I knew it was fairly simple but never tried it. Glad I did! You will see the L3901 a lot now without the loader! Made changing the oil so easy too. Definitely an "a ha" moment for us. Take care, Lucas. B&D

    You did a very good job explaining the removal/replacement process. How does the tractor do when bush-hogging with the FEL removed? Also, how much does your brush cutter weigh? Thanks

    I love watching your videos and dream of having some land to grow veggies as my house is all in shade. I live in Tampa. Gotta say though, I get very anxious seeing the dog running around the mower. Can you crate her when you are mowing? Or maybe build a kennel to use just during these dangerous activities? Looking forward to seeing what you do to the property over the next years.

      That's the neighbor's dog, Bella. We have a recent fencing series where we spent a lot of time and money building a fence to keep her on her side, but she still finds ways to get in. We tell her owner when we are doing tractor work on the property so they try to keep her home. Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb

    That is A LOT of unnecessary stress you put on the kick stands. You should never get to the point of lifting your front wheels off the ground.

      The loader is a little tweaked and doesn't come off as easy as it should.
