  • Was out on a job doing some logging work and didn’t have any luck. Sheared a pin on the brush hog and tipped my tractor. My buddy Tyler saved the day with his excavator.

Every time I see a small tractor on its side the loader is raised up high. I never move my tractor unless my bucket is as colse to the ground as I can get it.

Ol' guy here. Been turning wrenches for bout 45 years now.Pop the injectors out then crank with the starter.A lot of fluid will blow out:probably 100% oil. If you don't remove the injectors and there is ANY oil on the piston tops you will trash the engine when you turn it over either with the starter or a wrench on the flywheel with the 4' cheater that will eventually be used. And why the heck was the loader raised so high where you had the tractor? Rough uneven ground, narrow wheelbase tractor: keep loader LOW or: well you now know why.

I’m going to pull injectors and crank by hand. Tractor was only tipped for an hour so it shouldn’t be too bad. I was pushing the limits of the tractor.

Real old guy here and been farming my whole life. I’ve been to several funerals over my life because people were pushing the limits of tractors. Years ago tractor were only found on the farm and accidents were enough then but now day everybody it seems has one and accidents are way more often. Center of gravity on a tractor especially a little one like that with loader up and the weight of those pallet forks and uneven ground your lucky is all I have to say. Have a neighbor does the same thing, bush hogs real uneven ground with heavy pallet forks and first thing he does is raise the loader as high as it goes. It’s just a matter of time and his will be on its side too. Lucky thing for him is he has a family cemetery he started on his property if he needs it.

@@oldfarmer4700Agreed, based on what I saw he had the wrong tool for the job. I would've rented the excavator for the tree work the cleanup the brush on the ground with the tractor. A grapple sure is nice for brush work.

You had your loader boom all the way up in the air just before you tipped it over. Keep your loader down low as much as possible. You were lucky.. With as much clearing as you want to do with your subcompact you need a grapple. with a grapple a lot of times if it's tippy you can quickly drop your loader with the tree grappled and save yourself unlike with your forks cause you can't clamp your trees. I have had a grapple for about 20 years so I've been there, and haven't turned my 45 hp tractor over yet. Been close.

Ballast the rear tires! And it's a pain but every time you start to turn lower the bucket or the forks.

That's something you try to avoid but accidents do happen. Glad you had the Roll Bar to help keep you safe. I hope I never do that with my J.D. 750 with loader. Glad you didn't try to start it and sounds like it will be fine.

My Kioti CX2510 doesn't fit in my garage unless I put the ROPS down and I often forget to put it back up when i drive it out of my garage and this makes me want to make sure I always put the bar up when I'm using the tractor. Glad all is well.

Don't use the starter to turn it over. Use a socket on the crank to feel the resistance. I'm sure there are other YT videos on recovering from a tip over.

It was tipped for about an hour, so I’m gonna let it settle for 2 days. When I go to start it, I’ll pull a glow plug or something to relieve any pressure if there is some oil on top of pistons.

To increase your stability fit dual wheels. You will be shocked at how much more secure your tractor feels. Look at Click duals or an other form of quicktatch connection. I have driven little tractors(30hp), and compared to the ag tractors they are horribly tipppy.

Great safety training video with about SIX major mistakes. Apparently neither operator has much equipment experience. Also very little mechanical knowledge, as the injectors or glow plugs should be pulled, engine cranked, then reinstall parts and fire it up.

No , I am not going to watch the whole thing.
carry your bucket always below the hood line.
Years ago someone rolled a Ford 1700 carrying sawdust. Bucket was up to high. Judging what I see you don't need to brushhog.
A small trailer will work for moving the boat.
